RESUMEN

Objective@#To prepare an adhesive hemostatic hydrogel and examine its hemostatic performance and biocompatibility.@*Methods@#The precursor components were homogenously dissolved and photo-crosslinked in order to form dual-network hydrogel. The electron microscopy morphology was then analyzed ; mechanical properties were tested ; in vitro hemostatic performances were investigated by whole blood clotting test and simulation trial of cutaneous bleeding.Further, the hemocompatibility was evaluated. @*Results@#A characteristic porous network structure was presented through microscopy observation of the sample. The tensile strength of hydrogel reached 46 kPa,and strong adhesion was achieved between the hydrogel and ex vivo biological tissues.Hydrogel had significant effect on wound closure and clotting time could be shortened to 1 minute.@*Conclusion@#The hydrogel was capable of accelerating coagulation due to its ability to accumulate platelets and red cells after blood contact. The dual-network hydrogel with good hemocompatibility enabled excellent hemostatic performance by the synergistic effects of the chemical activation mechanism and physical hemostatic effect.

RESUMEN

Abstract A simple and selective liquid chromatography tandem with mass spectrometry (LC-MS/ MS) method for quantification of lobetyolin in rat plasma was developed and validated. Chromatographic separation was achieved on a Thermo ODS C18 reversed-phase column using 0.1% aqueous formic acid-methanol (50:50, v/v) in an isocratic elution mode at a flow rate of 0.4 mL.min-1. LC/MS performance was done in a positive ion ESI mode and the MS/MS transitions were monitored at m/z 419.3 [M+Na]+ → m/z 203.1 for lobetyolin and m/z 394.9 [M+Na]+ → m/z 231.9 for IS, respectively. The assay exhibited a linear dynamic range over 1.0-500 ng.mL-1 for lobetyolin in plasma. Both the precision (%RSD) and accuracy (RE%) were within acceptable criteria (<15%). Recoveries ranged from 87.0% to 95.6%, and the matrix effects were from 91.0% to 101.3%. After oral administration, the peak plasma concentration of lobetyolin was obtained as 60.1 ng.mL-1 at 1.0 h. The proposed LC-MS/MS method could be applied to a pharmacokinetic study employing 66 samples from 6 Wistar rats

RESUMEN

Objective] To explore the relationship between excessive internal heat in TCM and intestinal microflora ,provide scientific evidences for pathogenesis of excessive internal heat.[Method]With the research methods of clinical observation and literature review, analyze the characteristics of excessive internal heat, and collect research progress about intestinal microflora to find out the link.[Result] Head and facial tissue is more susceptible to injury, which is determined by the organizational characteristics. People suffering from excessive internal heat widely have problems of energy metabolism and mucosal immune disorders. Intestinal microflora plays an important role in energy production, conversion, storage and use. They can change the way that organizations use energy, and change AMPK phosphorylation to influence the energy metabolism of the body. Thus gut microflora imbalance may lead to disorders of energy metabolism. On the other hand, inflammatory mediators express abnormally in these people. Impaired immune function leads to inflammatory states, which causes imbalance of gut microflora. While intestinal microflora also can regulate intestinal mucosal immune response by adjusting related effective factors. [Conclusion]Excessive internal heat is closely related with intestinal microflora from the aspects of energy metabolism and mucosal immunity, which may provide new ideas to explore the pathogenesis of this disease. The researches based on intestinal microflora and diseases bring brilliant prospects of individual prevention and treatment for TCM and western medicine .

RESUMEN

BACKGROUNDAtypical meningioma is one of the rare subtypes of meningioma, which is lacking of optimal consensus on treatment strategies. This study aimed to investigate the radical treatment strategies to improve the long-term outcome of recurrent atypical meningiomas.

METHODSThe prognostic factors including the age and gender of patients; the location, histology, recurrence pattern and mitotic cell rate of the tumors; and the resection extents, surgical strategies and adjuvant therapies of 15 cases of recurrent atypical meningiomas were analyzed retrospectively.

RESULTSThe age and gender of patients were not associated with tumor recurrence. However, high recurrence rates and poor prognosis for atypical meningiomas were associated with the high mitotic cell rate, failure to achieve Simpson grade I-II resection, and without the dura and bone flap replacement intraoperatively. Post-operative radiotherapy improved the outcomes of tumors in patients after the second surgery.

CONCLUSIONRadical treatment strategies such as dura and bone flap replacements and radiotherapy should be considered in patients diagnosed with atypical meningiomas.

RESUMEN

Objective To observe the therapeutic efficacy of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) for focal cerebral infraction influenced by the treatment time after permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) in rabbits. Methods Seventy-five male rabbits were randomly divided into simple MCAO group (n=25), MCAO+HBO group (100% O2, 250 kPa, 1 h/d, from 1 d after MCAO, n=25) and MCAO+DHBO group (100% O2, 250 kPa, 1 h/d, from 7 d after MCAO, n=25). Behaviors and volumes of infarction were observed, and microdialysis was applied to monitor the concentrations of glucose, lactate, pymvate and glutamate around the infarct foci at 1, 3, 10 and 30 d after permanent MCAO. Results Behaviors'score was lower in MCAO+HBO group than the others (P<0.05). The infarct volume from day 3 to day 30 was significantly smaller in MCAO+HBO group than in the other 2 groups (P<0.05). The lactate and pyruvate ratio was increased after MCAO in three groups, but they were lower in the MCAO+HBO group than in the others at day 1 and day 3 (P<0.05). The glutamate concentration was increased after MCAO, peaked at 3 d, but at day 1 and day 3 the glutamate concentration was lower in the MCAO+HBO group (P<0.05). Conclusions HBO treatment could protect the brain from infarction through improving the energy metabolism and decreasing the excitatory amino acids disorders around the infarct foci after MCAO in rabbits. In order to improve the therapeutic efficacy of HBO, it should be performed as possible.
