RÉSUMÉ

Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of muscle regions of meridians needling method for refractory facial paralysis affecting different locations. Methods: A total of 110 participants were randomized into an observation group and a control group, with 55 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with muscle regions of meridians needling method, and the control group was treated with conventional facial three-line needling method. The clinical efficacy was evaluated four weeks after the treatment. And the infrared imaging spectra of the two groups were examined. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05), and its curative effect for refractory facial paralysis located above the geniculate ganglion was better than that of the control group (P<0.05). The color scale distribution of different disease locations in the two groups varied significantly (P<0.05), the higher the disease location, the higher the occurrence rate of cool zone and low temperature zone. After treatment, the reductions of the facial and periotic temperature difference between the healthy side and the affected side in the observation group were statistically different from those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Muscle regions of meridians needling method has a better effect than facial three-line needling method for refractory facial paralysis. It can promote the microcirculation of the affected side of the face, improve the blood and oxygen supply to local tissues, and thus promote the repair of the peripheral facial nerve.

RÉSUMÉ

Objective To observe clinical efficacy of treating acute facial neuritis with routine acupuncture treatment and tube moxibustion therapy. Methods Totally 100 cases were divided into observation group (50 cases) and control group (50 cases) with random number table method. Both groups were treated with acupuncture on accupoints of Yifeng (SJ17), Dicang (ST4), Jiache (ST6), Xiaguan (ST7), Yingxiang (LI20), Taiyang (EX-HN5), Cuanzhu (BL2) of affected side, Hegu (LI4) of unaffected side. On the basis of routine treatment, observation group was given electronic tube moxibustion therapy, inserting the ipsilateral external auditory canal about 1 cm and waiting for burning out, 20 min each time. Control group received TDP to irradiate ipsilateral ear, 20 min each time. Treatment for both groups were once a day, 5 times as a treatment course, 2 d between each course, for 4 courses. House-Brakmann facial nerve functional index, temperature differences on face and retroauricular skin and ear pain duration were observed. Clinical efficacy was evaluated. Results One and two cases were lost in observation group and control group, respectively. The total effective rate of clinical efficacy was 91.67% (44/48) in the observation group and 75.51% (37/49) in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Compared with before treatment, House-Brakmann facial nerve functional index in both groups improved (P<0.05), and the observation group was better than the control group (P<0.05). Compared with before treatment, temperature differences on face and retroauricular skin in both groups decreased, and the observation group was better than the control group (P<0.01). The ear pain duration in the observation group was shorter than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Tube moxibustion therapy combined with routine acupuncture can improve the symptoms of acute facial neuritis and promote clinical efficacy.

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To evaluate clinical therapeutic effect of post-stroke shoulder pain treated by acupuncture combined with Tuina.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Three hundred cases of post-stroke shoulder pain were randomly divided into an acupuncture and Tuina group and a rehabilitation group by double-center randomized controlled clinical trial method. In acupuncture and Tuina group, normalized electroacupuncture and Tuina therapy were applied, that was electroacupuncture at main points, such as Chize (LU 5), Quze (PC 3), Shaohai (HT 3), Jianyu (LI 15), Jianliao (TE 14) and Jianjing (GB 21),etc., combined with traditional Tuina manipulations; in rehabilitation group, the rehabilitation methods such as the electrostimulation through nervus cutaneus and the squeezing and stabilizing manipulations of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), etc. were applied. The treatment courses of both groups were 6 weeks. The main therapeutic effect indices were the Assessment Face Scale (AFS) for pain when shoulder was in passive motion and the Fugl-Meyer Motor Assessment for upper limbs active function; the secondary indices were the moditied Rankin Scale (mRS) and the clinical incidences of shoulder-hand syndrome of hemiplegia and shoulder joint subluxation of hemiplegia.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>After 6 weeks treatment and 12 weeks follow-up, AFS score, Fugl-Meyer motor assessment of upper limbs active function and mRS evaluation in acupuncture and Tuina group were more obviously improved than those in rehabilitation group (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). Although the clinical incidences of shoulder-hand syndrome of hemiplegia and shoulder joint subluxation of hemiplegia in acupuncture and Tuina group was equal to those in rehabilitation group [3.55% (5/141) vs 8.45% (12/142), 1.42% (2/141) vs 5.63% (8/142), both P > 0.05], the data indicated that there was a superiority tendency in acupuncture and Tuina group.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>The combined therapy of electroacupuncture and Tuina is a normative manipulation, and the therapeutic effect is satisfying for post-stroke shoulder pain, superior to that of comprehensive rehabilitation treatment.</p>

RÉSUMÉ

A nicotine-degrading bacterial strain Z7 was isolated from tobacco growing soil at Zhangjiajie region in Hunan Province. The morphology, physiological and biochemical characteristics of strain Z7 were studied and the results showed that characteristics of this strain were essentially consistent with Agrobacterium radiobacter/tumefaciens.This strain degraded nicotine optimally at 30℃ and initial pH 7.0.It was able to utilize nicotine as its sole carbon source, and it could degrade 71% of nicotine under the optimized incubation conditions for 48 h.Meanwhile, the color of culture medium turned from yellowy to green and dark green, then it turned to brown. This strain might have potential applications in tobacco industry.
