Glioma is the most common malignant brain tumor and classification of low grade glioma (LGG) and high grade glioma (HGG) is an important reference of making decisions on patient treatment options and prognosis. This work is largely done manually by pathologist based on an examination of whole slide image (WSI), which is arduous and heavily dependent on doctors' experience. In the World Health Organization (WHO) criteria, grade of glioma is closely related to hypercellularity, nuclear atypia and necrosis. Inspired by this, this paper designed and extracted cell density and atypia features to classify LGG and HGG. First, regions of interest (ROI) were located by analyzing cell density and global density features were extracted as well. Second, local density and atypia features were extracted in ROI. Third, balanced support vector machine (SVM) classifier was trained and tested using 10 selected features. The area under the curve (AUC) and accuracy (ACC) of 5-fold cross validation were 0.92 ± 0.01 and 0.82 ± 0.01 respectively. The results demonstrate that the proposed method of locating ROI is effective and the designed features of density and atypia can be used to predict glioma grade accurately, which can provide reliable basis for clinical diagnosis.

Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) on psoriasis-like mouse models induced by imiquimod and the underlying mechanisms. Methods:Eighteen C57BL/6 mice were randomly and equally divided into vaseline group, model group and treatment group according to a random number table. The mice in the model group and treatment group received topical treatment with 5% imiquimod cream at a dose of 62.5 mg once a day for 6 consecutive days on the shaved back, and those in the vaseline group received the treatment with the same amount of vaseline ointment; the mice in the treatment group were injected with 1.5×10 6 human umbilical cord MSCs via the caudal vein on days 1 and 4. The severity of skin lesions on the back of the mice was assessed everyday according to the psoriasis area and severity index (PASI) . Twenty-four hours after the last treatment, that is, on day 7, blood samples were taken, and the mice were sacrificed. The dorsal skin tissues were resected and subjected to hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining. A single cell suspension of the resected spleen was prepared, and flow cytometry was performed to detect the Th1 and Th17 cell subsets in the spleen cells. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was conducted to detect serum levels of cytokines interleukin (IL) -17A and tumor necrosis factor (TNF) -α. One-way analysis of variance was used for comparisons among groups, Tukey test for multiple comparisons, and repeated measures analysis of variance for the analysis of changes in the PASI score over time. Results:On day 7, there was obvious scaly erythema on the back of the mice in the model group, and the skin thickness and number of infiltrating inflammatory cells were significantly higher in the model group (78.73 ± 23.11 μm, 36.16 ± 2.95 cells/mm 2) than in the vaseline group (13.28 ± 4.57 μm, 13.33 ± 1.15 cells/mm 2, q=19.25, 7.21, respectively, both P < 0.001) . The treatment group showed significantly decreased PASI score, epidermal thickness and number of infiltrating inflammatory cells compared with the model group (all P < 0.001) . The percentage of Th17 cell subsets in the spleen cells and serum level of TNF-α were significantly lower in the treatment group than in the model group (both P < 0.05) . There were no significant differences in the spleen weight, spleen index, spleen cell count, Th1 cell percentage or serum IL-17A level between the treatment group and the model group (all P>0.05) . Conclusion:Human umbilical cord MSCs can effectively alleviate skin inflammation induced by imiquimod in the psoriasis-like mouse models, likely by inhibiting Th17 cell formation and TNF-α expression.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the potential association between occupational medicamentosa-like dermatitis induced by trichloroethylene( OMDT) and past infection, reactivation and recent infection of human herpesvirus 6( HHV6) and human cytomegalovirus( HCMV). METHODS: Twenty OMDT patients were recruited as case group by using judgment sampling method. Twenty healthy workers occupationally exposed to trichloroethylene for more than half a year were randomly selected as exposure group. Twenty healthy people with no exposure history to trichloroethylene were randomly selected as control group. The enzyme linked immunosorbent assay was used to qualitatively determine the titer of HHV6 and HCMV immunoglobulin( Ig) G,Ig M antibodies from serum samples of these subjects. The polymerase chain reaction was used to qualitatively detect HHV6 and HCMV DNA from whole blood DNA samples of these subjects. The differences of previous infection rate, reactivation rate and recent infection rate of HHV6 and HCMV among these three groups of patients with different clinical types of OMDT were analyzed. RESULTS: The prevalence of HHV6 and HCMV infection in the case group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant( 65. 5% vs 20. 0%,75. 0% vs15. 0%,P < 0. 017). The reactivation rate of HHV6 and HCMV in the case group was higher than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant( P > 0. 017). The recent infection rate of HHV6 and HCMV in the case group was not significantly different from that in the control group( P > 0. 017). There was no significant difference in the past infection rate, reactivation rate and recent infection rate of HHV6 and HCMV between the exposure group and the control group( P > 0. 05),meanwhile in different clinical types of OMDT patients( P > 0. 05). CONCLUSION: OMDT may be associated with past infection of HHV6 and HCMV.

Objecive To evaluate the causes of 60 cases for clinical failure in post crown. Methods Sixty cases with failure in post crown cure were entered the study. The causes of failure were analyzed. Results Among the 60 cases with failure in post crown cure,38 cases were due to the crown'loosing or broken away,12 cases with the broken dental crown,10 cases with periapical periodontitis,6 cases with broken root. Conclusions It was the loosing or broken away of post crown, periapical periodontitis, dental crown and root broken consist of the main causes for clinical failure in post crown.
