RÉSUMÉ

Objective To investigate the effects of combined assessment of normal morphology sperm rate(MNS)with sperm DNA fragmentation index(DFI)on the outcomes of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET).Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 641 patients who underwent IVF-ET in our center from June 2020 to February 2023.According to MNS and DFI levels, the patients were divided into group A(MNS<4%,DFI<25%,403 cases),group B(MNS ≥4%,DFI ≥25%,9 ca-ses),group C(MNS≥4%,DFI<25%,125 cases),group D(MNS<4%,DFI≥25%,104 cases),group A1(MNS<1%,DFI<25%,106 cases)and group D1(MNS<1%,DFI≥25%,60 cases). The general information, semen parameters, embryo develop-ment and pregnancy outcomes were compared among all the 6 groups. Results No statistically significant differences were found be-tween female and male age among these groups(P>0.05).Significant differences were observed in sperm motility, progressive motili-ty,sperm concentration and fertilization rates(P<0.05),but no differences of usable embryo rates,good-quality embryo rates, clinical pregnancy rates, early miscarriage rates,or live birth rates(P>0.05)among the groups A,B,C,D,A1 and D1.Conclusion The decreased MNS and increased DFI in males were associated with reduced sperm motility and concentration, affecting fertilization rates in IVF-ET,but had no significant impact on clinical pregnancy outcomes. The combined assessment of MNS with DFI had limited pre-dictive value for IVF-ET pregnancy outcomes.

Objective To analyze the causes of visual impaired and explore the visual improvement with aids, application effects and problems. Methods A series of cases study was adopted.Seven hundred and ninetyseven patients with visual impairment were selected from January 2012 to December 2016 in Tianjin Medical University Eye Hospital. The etiological analysis, visual function evaluation and visual aids fitting were performed for 797 patients with visual impairment. After 6 months,400 patients were randomly selected for follow-up,and application effects, daily use time and the reasons for abandon were evaluated and analyzed. This study followed the Helsinki declaration and was approved by Ethic Committee of the Tianjin Medical University Eye Hospital. Results The causes for top three in 797 visual impairment patients were high myopia, congenital eye diseases and diabetic retinopathy respectively. With distant optical visual aids, distance vision of the patients was significantly improved.Thereinto,66.3% patients used visual aids occasionally every day.The overall effective rate of visual aids fitting was 86.92%,the efficiency of electronic visual aids is obviously higher than that of other near optical visual aids, and the use effect evaluation of electronic aids is also the best.It is found that poor vision, inconvenient use and inability to use are common influencing factors, among which poor vision is the main reason. Conclusions High myopia has become the leading cause of visual impairment.Professional visual aids fitting can greatly improve residual vision and effectiveness of visual aids.During the process of application, most of the patients usually don't use the devices for longer duration due to severe eye diseases.Once visual aids meet the patients' visual demands in a certain, they work effectively.

Objective@#To observe and explore the therapeutic efficacy of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) in the treatment of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).@*Methods@#A total of 139 NAION patients were randomly divided into a control group of 72 and a hyperbaric oxygen group of 67. Both groups were given conventional drugs including prednisolone, mecobalamin and compound anisodine, while the hyperbaric oxygen group was additionally provided with hyperbaric oxygen treatment at a pressure of 0.2MPa once a day for 30 days. Each day′s treatment lasted for 110 minutes, including 20 minutes at increasing pressure, 20 minutes decreasing and 60 minutes with the pressure stable at 0.2MPa. Before and after the 30-day treatment, the visual acuity and visual mean sensitivity (MS) of the two groups were observed and compared.@*Results@#There was no significant difference between the control group and the hyperbaric oxygen group in terms of average visual acuity or visual MS before the treatment. Afterward the average visual acuity (4.88±0.25) and visual MS (16.68±1.19) of the hyperbaric oxygen group were significantly higher than before the treatment and significantly better than those of the control group. The total effective rate of the hyperbaric oxygen group was 91%, significantly higher than that of the control group (75%).@*Conclusions@#Conventional treatment combined with hyperbaric oxygen therapy can significantly promote the visual acuity and visual MS of NAION patients.
