RÉSUMÉ

To investigate the regulation of N6- methyladenosine ( m6A ) modification on L-type calcium channels in atrial myocytes under high hydrostatic pressure, mediated by methyltransferase-like protein 3 ( METTL3 ). Methods C57BL/6J mice were randomly assigned to the control group and the hypertension group ( treated with continuous administration of angiotensin for four weeks ). Masson staining was used to observe the fibrosis of mouse atrial tissue, while dot blot assay and Western blot were used to detect the levels of m6A, METTL3, and Cavi1 2 in the atrial tissue. Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) is currently the most sensitive technique to diagnose early ischemic stroke. DWI signal hyperintensity is usually considered to suggest irreversible infarct core, but recent studies demonstrated that DWI hyperintensity signal could be reversible on small embolic lesions. Herein we present a case in a 63-year-old male patient, who was admitted to the emergency department with altered mental status and complaint of weakness in the left arm and leg 6.8 h prior to the admission. Emergency cranial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and angiography (MRA) revealed occlusion of his right middle cerebral artery (MCA) and large lesions on DWI. The patient underwent intra-artery thrombectomy after evaluation in spite of the large volume of the DWI lesions up to 91.5 mL at the baseline. His right MCA was recanalized at 8.5 h from symptom onset. One week after the procedure, the patient showed reduced DWI lesion volume to 11.58 mL. In this case we observed the reversibility of a large lesion of the anterior artery circulation presenting with hyperintensity on DWI, suggesting that the clinical implication of DWI hyperintensity should be interpreted with caution, and a large volume of baseline DWI hyperintensity may not be a contraindication to thrombectomy. This conclusion, however, awaits further validation by future large-scale randomized controlled trials.

RÉSUMÉ

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To introduce diagnosis and treatment of the metacarpophalangeal joint (MPJ) locking caused by sesamoid turned-over dislocation of the thumb.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Five cases with metacarpophalangeal joint locking were involved in the study, male 4 and female 1. The average age was 35 years old(ranging from 18 to 47 years). All the patients received manual reduction under local anaesthesia. But only three were successful, others patients were reduced by operation. Metacarpophalangeal joint locking caused by sesamoid turned-over dislocation with the volar plate and the short flexor muscle of the thumb tendon were reveded. The metacarpophalangeal joint locking was released after reduction of sesamoid turned-over dislocation of the thumb.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The mean follow-up time was 15 months (3-34 months). The mean range of MPJ flexion was 45 degrees (35 degrees - 60 degrees). The signs for pain and swelling were released. Satisfactory thumb opposition can be seen.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>It was one of the important reasons of the metacarpophalangeal joint locking caused by sesamoid turned-over dislocation of the thumb.</p>

RÉSUMÉ

To observe the dynamic change of parasites in the brains of BALB/c mice infected with Angiostrongylus cantonensis in order to explore its possible mechanism of pathogenesis', BALB/c mice infected with the III stage larvae of A.cantonensis were observed and killed in different times after infection. The number and distribution of parasites in the brains of the infected mice were observed microscopically and macroscopically. It was found that the larvae of A.cantonensis were distributed in the cerebrum and cerebellum of mice in accordance with the rule of parasitization of worms in the host, i.e.multiplication at first and then dropping in number. And the places where the parasites located were damaged due to mechanical action or inflammatory reactions. The time of onset of symptoms, such as ataxia and twitch was coincided with the dynamic changes in the brains of the infected mice.

Objective To observe the effects of total flavones from Herba Epimedii(TFHE)on the experimental myocardial ischemia and hemorheology of animals.Methods The model of acute myocardial ischemia of rats was established with pituitrin and the model of acute blood stasis was established with high-molecular dextran.The effects of TFHE on the electrocardiogram J-point of acute myocardial ischemia model and the hemorheology of acute blood stasis model were observed.Besides these,the effects of TFHE on coaglutaion time in mice were observed.Results As compared with the model groups,high-,middle-,and low-dosage groups(24,12,and 6 mg/kg)of TFHE could obviously improve the abnormal electrocardiogram J-point of acute myocardial ischemia model,also could effectively prevent the ascending of whole blood viscosity(high-,middle-,and low-shear rate),packed erythrocyte volume,and fibrinogen.High-and low-dosage groups(34 and 17 mg/kg)of TFHE could obviously lengthen the coaglutaion time in mice.Conclusion The results suggest that TFHE possesses protective effects on ischemic myocardium,which may better hemorheology,decrease the whole blood viscosity,prevent blood from coagulating and improve the circulatation of coronary artery.
