Laiminin, which has been found 15 isoforms up to today,is a kind of noncollagen glycoprotein of extracellular matrix. However, the functions of laminin varis from each other, which mainly takes participation in the process of the cell adherence, migration, differentiation, growth, cell signaling and tissue repair in vivo.In recent years, some scholars have found that laminin plays an important role in angiogenesis. The purpose of this article is to summarize the role of laminin in angiogensis and sum up the current research progress.

Hepatopulmonary syndrome is a pulmonary syndrome that is characterized by the clinical triad of chronic liver disease, arteriovenous shunts due to intrapulmonary vasodilatation, and arterial hypoxemia.Dwing to its complicated pathogenisis, unconspicuous behavior and lack of clinic features,it is very hard for early diagnosis,so while diagnosed, most of HPS patients are in a hard way.The clinical treatment is limited with unsatisfactory effectiveness,so does the prognosis. This article reviews the current diagnosis and therapies of hepatopulmonary syndrome.

Objective To construct human PLAGL2 siRNA expression DNA plasmid and study the interfering effect on gene expression in H441 cells. Methods H441 cells were transfected with PLAGL2 siRNA expression DNA plasmid with Fu-gene6. Real time PCR and Western blot were employed to detect the interfering effect on the expression of PLAGL2.SP-CSP-B mRNA and protein in wildtype and PLAGL2 siRNA expression DNA plasmid transfected H441 cells respectively. Results Real time PCR revealed that,as compared with wildtype H441 cells, the expression level of PLAGL2 mRNA in PLAGL2 siRNA plasmid transfected H441 cells was significantly reduced(P<0. 05) ,but that of SP-C mRNA in PLAGL2 siRNA plasmid transfected H441 cells was significantly increased(P<0. 05). Western blot showed that,as compared with wildtype H441 cells, the expression level of PLAGL2 protein in PLAGL2 siRNA DNA plasmid transfected H441 cells was significantly reduced(P< 0. 05). Conclusion Human PLAGL2 siRNA expression DNA plasmid was constructed successfully, and its transfection into the H441 cells could effectively inhibit the PLAGL2 expression, and simultaneously promote the expression of SP-C.

In order to evaluate the value of angiographic diagnosis and interventional therapy in the patients with massive hemobilia, 10 patients with massive hemobilia were analyzed retrospectively from Sep. 1990 to Sep. 1999. All of them underwent emergency celiac and selective right or left hepatic artery angiography. The patients were diagnosed rapidly and treated successfully by embolization of the hepatic artery branch proximal to t he bleeding point, and hemorrhage was stopped immediately. Two out of 10 patients were embolized two times for bleeding again. All patients were alive and followed up for 3 months to 5 years. As a safe, reliable and mininally invasion method, selective hepatic artery angiography and embolization was proved to be an important diagnostic and therapeutic means for massive hemobilia, which had obvious advantages of minimally invasive reatment in unstable patient over surgery and should be the first choice for such patients.
