RÉSUMÉ

As constantes transformações tecnológicas dos últimos anos têm refletido diretamente sobre o cenário da educação, com a popularização do ensino em meio digital, especialmente após a pandemia do COVID-19. Diante disso, surgiu a proposta de um ciclo de palestras online pelo grupo que compõe o Programa de Educação Tutorial (PET) Odontologia, do Instituto de Saúde de Nova Friburgo. O objetivo do evento foi oferecer conteúdo atualizado, de interesse dos participantes, abordando temas nem sempre são contemplados na grade curricular, contando com convidados externos à instituição. Após a seleção dos temas e a escolha dos palestrantes, iniciou-se a organização e divulgação do evento, utilizando ferramentas online gratuitas. O ciclo de palestras contou com sete apresentações, abrangendo áreas como Odontogeriatria, Dentística, Harmonização Orofacial, Gestão e Empreendedorismo, Emergências Médicas e Estomatologia. Durante os cursos, os participantes tiveram a oportunidade de esclarecer suas dúvidas, tornando a experiência interativa. Como instrumento de feedback, os participantes foram convidados a preencher um formulário de avaliação. O evento teve uma média de 73 participantes, os quais demonstraram estar satisfeitos com a qualidade dos temas abordados. Pode-se concluir que a proposta de um ciclo de palestras online é viável, dissemina o conhecimento, proporciona oportunidades de aprendizado e contribui para a consolidação do senso crítico-reflexivo. Para os membros do PET Odontologia, a experiência destacou a importância do ensino-aprendizado de excelência, contínuo e permanente, bem como a utilização de métodos alternativos que podem inovar o processo de formação acadêmica.


The constant technological transformations in recent years have directly impacted the education landscape, with the popularization of online teaching, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. In light of this, a proposal for an online lecture series emerged from the group that comprises the Tutorial Education Program (PET) at the Nova Friburgo Institute of Health (ISNF). The aim of the event was to offer updated content, of interest to participants, covering topics not always included in the curriculum and featuring external guests to the institution. After selecting the topics and choosing the speakers, the organization and promotion of the event began, using free online tools. The lecture series consisted of seven presentations, covering areas such as Geriatric Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, Orofacial Harmonization, Management and Entrepreneurship, Medical Emergencies, and Stomatology. Throughout the courses, participants had the opportunity to clarify their doubts, making the experience interactive. As a feedback tool, participants were invited to fill out an evaluation form. The event had an average of 73 participants, who expressed satisfaction with the quality of the topics covered. It could be concluded that the proposal for an online lecture series is feasible, disseminates knowledge, provides learning opportunities, and contributes to the consolidation of critical-reflexive thinking. For PET Dentistry members, the experience highlighted the importance of continuous and excellent teaching and learning, as well as the use of alternative methods that can innovate the academic training process.

ABSTRACT Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the perception and degree of satisfaction of blind individuals regarding an electronic cane prototype with a wearable haptic interface. Methods: Two scenarios with different obstacles were created to conduct tests with the canes (the user's cane and the prototype one). The perception and satisfaction of participants regarding the electronic cane were assessed using a questionnaire, the number of collisions during the tests, and the time each individual took to complete the course in each scenario. Results: Ten blind individuals who used the white cane participated in this study. Eight were males, and two were females. Their age ranged from 23 to 43 (average 32.3 ± 7.13 years and median 32 years). There was a tendency for fewer collisions with ground obstacles when the electronic cane was used than when the white cane was used. However, there was no statistically significant difference between the number of collisions and the course completion time in each scenario with either canes tested. Conclusion: Overall, the perception and satisfaction of individuals regarding the prototype used were positive.

ABSTRACT In recent years, the change in the design of video games has become evident, one of them is accessibility for people with different disabilities, despite the laws, which are very limited, there are no standards that require companies, industries and producers from different sectors implement this resource in their projects. From this research, the objective is to investigate the importance that these inclusion games comply with the response to stimuli provided by the industry, in this field, and that the support that the country is giving to this need to be felt is also felt. this visually impaired population. Based on the mixed research methodology, different sources are investigated in order to demonstrate how necessary it is that there are models of inclusion in video games, both entertainment and educational (serious), thus reaching an identity model that. The lack of laws and resources that promote this industry is evidenced. The project made it possible to describe the main strategies and resources that have been proposed and/or implemented in terms of accessibility for people with visual disabilities in Colombia, investigating and comparing the information obtained from the state of the art, and in this way conclude with the impact of these development methods, in the visually impaired population. An important impact has been the technological evolution that other countries have managed to develop for this type of population. As a conclusion, a disparity was found in the development of this project, which is precisely the little accessibility that people with visual disabilities have to video games in Colombia, because beyond the interaction that exists with some, much more access is required. And above all more investment and enactment of laws that support this resource. Using the mixed research methodology, different sources are investigated in order to demonstrate how necessary it is that there are models of inclusion in video games, both entertainment and educational (serious), thus reaching an identity pattern that gives as shows the lack of laws and resources that promote this industry. The project allowed us to describe the main strategies that have been proposed and/or implemented in terms of accessibility for people with visual disabilities in Colombia, investigating and comparing the information obtained from the state of the art, as mentioned above. Thus, then, different responses were found to this inclusion, not only in entertainment games but also in educational ones, which in the end are also very important in the classroom, because not only should one think about the distraction game, but also about the playful nature of teaching, thus helping teachers in the development of their classes. In this way, we conclude with the impact of these development methods on the visually impaired population. Another important point that could be evidenced is the evolution of technology, which has brought haptic systems, immersive and dynamic audio, as well as braille itself in digital systems, this, of course, has allowed progress towards much more logical and dynamic resources, but they continue to be limited precisely because they cannot be implemented correctly, due to their high purchasing value. We must think not of people who suffer from visual disabilities, but rather we must think of all social strata with this type of disability who can, with their resources, access this type of technology. Each part of the intervention exercise with state and private companies led to results that concluded in the population with visual disabilities that does not have the possibility of accessing this exercise of inclusion, and beyond the common interest in popularizing these video games, the limitation of certain sectors is seen that do not find in this undertaking a great industry, since the majority assures that it is more lucrative to invest in video games for people without no limitation or disability than investing in this other type of video game In conclusion, the disabled population in Colombia is 3,134,037; this number is very high if we also consider the rural populations that live without any type of resource or technological reach; Due to their socioeconomic condition and location, they are people who have a deterioration in services, then what is the extent of the disabled population in these areas that do not have the support and resources to improve their quality of life? It is almost null, there is no possibility that in the most vulnerable places and far from the reach of the government, inclusion exercises will be carried out with the visually disabled population, because simply in the last population census that was carried out in Colombia in 2018, more than 50% of the population They do not access the Internet, this added to governments that waste state money, it could be said that the level exceeds that percentage. If so, it is very possible that the reach of this population to these technological resources is very bad. A lot of economic investment is required on the part of the state, and for the designers of these technologies to expand to cover their creative enterprises, to the entire population, without the right to exclusion. For this reason, in this project a disparity is evident, which is precisely the little accessibility that people with visual disabilities have to video games in Colombia, not only from entertainment, but from their spaces in the classroom, which is what many demands. academics for their models and resources to work with this population, because beyond the interaction that exists with some (very few), much more access is still required and above all more investment and enactment of laws that support said resource.

Objetivo: Determinar las habilidades y conocimientos sobre las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TIC) de los ingresantes a la carrera de Licenciatura en Enfermería de una institución superior pública de Bahía Blanca, Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Metodología: Estudio observacional, descriptivo, transversal y cuantitativo. Se implementó un instrumento conformado por 59 preguntas con opciones de respuesta cerrada orientado a valorar las competencias digitales en los ingresantes a la carrera. Resultados: Participaron 386 ingresantes, mayormente de género femenino (85.49 %), del primer ciclo (74.35 %) y con 20 años o menos de edad (47.15 %). El 98.19 % tenía acceso a internet, el 79.27 % tiene computadora y más del 80 % tiene un amplio uso de redes sociales (WhatsApp, Instagram) y correo electrónico. Los ingresantes se autoevaluaron competentes en el programa MS Word, mientras que en MS Excel se declararon menos competentes. Hay desconocimiento y bajo desarrollo de habilidades para generar contenido, y un amplio despliegue de habilidades para buscar y descargar información de la web. La edad, el género, el tiempo diario de uso de internet y el ciclo de ingreso mostraron relación con el dominio de las herramientas digitales aplicadas a la educación. Conclusiones: Se identificó un desarrollo intermedio de competencias digitales aplicadas a la educación, lo que podría ameritar el diseño de programas que nivelen estas habilidades durante el proceso de ingreso o durante la formación.


Objetivo: determinar habilidades e conhecimentos sobre as tecnologias da informação e comunicação (TIC) dos calouros no curso de bacharelado em enfermagem em uma instituição pública de ensino superior na cidade de Bahía Blanca, província de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Metodologia: estudo observacional, descritivo, transversal e quantitativo. Foi utilizado um instrumento composto por 59 perguntas com opções de resposta fechada para avaliar as competências digitais dos calouros do curso. Resultados: Participaram 386 estudantes, em sua maioria do gênero feminino (85,49 %), do primeiro ciclo estudantil (74,35 %) e com idade igual ou inferior a 20 anos (47,15 %). 98,19 % tinham acesso à internet, 79,27 % tinham computador e mais de 80 % usavam amplamente as redes sociais (WhatsApp, Instagram) e o e-mail. Os calouros se auto-avaliaram competentes no programa MS Word, enquanto no MS Excel se declararam menos competentes. Há desconhecimento e baixo desenvolvimento de habilidades para gerar conteúdo e uma ampla demonstração de habilidades para pesquisar e baixar informações da web. A idade, o gênero, o tempo diário de uso da Internet e o ciclo de ingresso estudantil mostraram relação com o domínio das ferramentas digitais aplicadas à educação. Conclusões: Foi identificado um desenvolvimento intermediário de competências digitais aplicadas à educação, o que poderia demandar a concepção de programas que nivelem essas competências durante o processo de admissão ou durante a formação.


Objective: To determine the skills and knowledge about information and communication technologies (ICT) of entrants to the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing at a public higher institution in Bahía Blanca, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Methodology: Observational, descriptive, transversal and quantitative study. An instrument was implemented consisting of 59 questions with closed response options aimed at assessing digital competencies in those entering the career. Results: 386 entrants participated, mostly female (85.49 %), from the first cycle (74.35 %) and 20 years old or younger (47.15%). 98.19 % had access to the internet, 79.27 % have a computer and more than 80 % have extensive use of social networks (WhatsApp, Instagram) and email. The entrants evaluated themselves as competent in the MS Word program, while in MS Excel they declared themselves less competent. There is a lack of knowledge and low development of skills to generate content and a wide range of skills to search and download information from the web. Age, gender, daily time of Internet use and entry cycle showed a relationship with the mastery of digital tools applied to education. Conclusions: An intermediate development of digital competencies applied to education was identified, and a high one for the use of social networks. The variables age, gender, daily time of Internet use and entry cycle were related to the knowledge and skills for using ICT applied to education.

Objetivo: mapear as tecnologias em saúde para manejo no cuidado à pessoa com hanseníase na Atenção Primária à Saúde. Método: revisão de escopo baseada na metodologia do JBI, em seis bases de dados, seguindo a checklist Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews. Foram incluídos estudos publicados em qualquer idioma, com diferentes abordagens metodológicas. Resultados: os 14 estudos incluídos na revisão mostram que a aplicabilidade de tecnologias para o manejo do cuidado a pessoa com hanseníase na Atenção Primária à Saúde, possibilitam a confirmação de diagnóstico, acompanhamento, monitoramento e prevenção de incapacidades. Conclusão: nota-se que tecnologia em saúde se apresentam como ferramentas que auxiliam no processo de cuidado na assistência a pessoas com hanseníase, a fim de permitir aos profissionais de saúde conhecimento sobre a doença, proporcionando qualidade na sua prática de saúde.


Objective: to map health technologies for managing the care of people with leprosy in Primary Health Care. Method: scoping review based on the JBI methodology in six databases, following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews checklist. Studies published in any language were included, with different methodological approaches. Results: the 14 studies included in the review show that the applicability of technologies for the management of care for people with leprosy in Primary Health Care makes it possible to confirm diagnosis, follow-up, monitoring, and prevention of disabilities. Conclusion: it has been noted that health technologies are tools that help in the process of caring for people with leprosy, to provide health professionals with knowledge about the disease, improving quality of health practice.


Objetivo: mapear las tecnologías en salud para el manejo en el cuidado a la persona con lepra en la Atención Primaria a la Salud. Método: revisión del alcance basada en la metodología del JBI, en seis bases de datos, siguiendo la checklist Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis extension for Scoping Reviews. Se han incluido estudios publicados en cualquier idioma, con diferentes enfoques metodológicos. Resultados: los 14 estudios incluidos en la revisión muestran que la aplicabilidad de tecnologías para el manejo del cuidado a la persona con lepra en la Atención Primaria a la Salud posibilita la confirmación de diagnóstico, seguimiento, monitoreo y prevención de incapacidades. Conclusión: se percibe que las tecnologías en salud se presentan como herramientas que ayudan en el proceso de cuidado en la asistencia a personas con lepra, con fines de permitir a los profesionales de salud el acceso al conocimiento sobre la enfermedad, proporcionando calidad en su práctica de salud.

Abstract Introduction. Video games have a strong influence on children and adolescents. Video game addiction has negative effects on children's health. Objective. To determine the relationship between video game addiction and bladder/bowel dysfunction in children. Materials and methods. Three hundred sixty-three children and their mothers who met the inclusion criteria constituted the sample of this correlational study. The data were collected using a descriptive information form, the Video Game Addiction Scale for Children, and the Childhood Bladder and Bowel Dysfunction Questionnaire. Results. We found that 72.5% of the children were nine years old and 27.5% were ten years old; 50.4% were males and 49.6% were female. While 4.7% of the children who participated in the study were underweight, 19.6% were overweight, and 17.9% were obese. The mean Video Game Addiction Scale for Children score was 50.77 ± 16.17, whereas the mean Childhood Bladder and Bowel Dysfunction Questionnaire score was 29.98 ± 8.90. The ratio of children with a mean Video Game Addiction Scale for Children scores equal to or greater than 90 was 0.8% (n = 3). We found that 3.6% (n = 13) of the children had urinary/fecal incontinence while playing video games. There was a weak positive relationship between the dimensions of the Video Game Addiction Scale for Children scores, the Childhood Bladder and Bowel Dysfunction Questionnaire scores, and children's bladder and bowel function (r = 0.220; p < 0.05). Conclusions. There is a correlation between children's video game addiction level and their bladder and bowel dysfunction grade. Higher video game addiction levels correspond to higher bladder and bowel dysfunction.


Resumen Introducción. Los videojuegos tienen una fuerte influencia en los niños y adolescentes. La adicción a ellos tiene efectos perjudiciales para la salud de los niños. Objetivo. Determinar la relación entre la adicción a los videojuegos y la disfunción vesical o intestinal en niños. Materiales y métodos. Los 373 niños y sus madres que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión constituyeron la muestra de este estudio descriptivo y correlacional. Los datos se recopilaron mediante un formulario de información descriptiva, la Video Game Addiction Scale for Children y el Childhood Bladder and Bowel Dysfunction Questionnaire. Resultados. El 72,5 % de los niños tenía nueve años y, el 27,5 %, diez; el 50,4 % eran hombres y el 49,6 %, mujeres. El 4,7 % de los estudiantes que participaron en el estudio tenían bajo peso, el 19,6 % presentaba sobrepeso y el 17,9 % tenía obesidad. Se constató que las puntuaciones medias de las escalas fueron 50,77 ± 16,17 para la Video Game Addiction Scale for Children y 29,98 ± 8,90 para el Childhood Bladder and Bowel Dysfunction Questionnaire. La proporción de niños con una puntuación de 90 o superior en la dicha escala fue del 0,8 % (n = 3). Se encontró que el 3,6 % (n = 13) de los niños tenía incontinencia urinario-fecal mientras jugaba videojuegos. Se reveló que había una correlación positiva débil entre las dimensiones de las dos escalas evaluadas, y la función de la vejiga y el intestino (p < 0,05). Conclusiones. El grado de adicción a los videojuegos de los niños está correlacionado con su grado de disfunción vesical o intestinal: entre mayor sea la adicción, mayor es la disfunción.

Resumen Introducción. La calidad del aire es un asunto de interés para la salud pública por su rápido deterioro en los países de bajos y medianos ingresos, y los efectos del aire contaminado en la salud de las poblaciones. Objetivo. Explorar las condiciones de la calidad del aire en las que los repartidores de plataformas digitales desarrollaron su trabajo en las localidades de Kennedy y Usaquén de Bogotá durante el 2021. Materiales y métodos. Se llevó a cabo un estudio mixto, paralelo y convergente, basado en cuatro fuentes de información: 1) observación etnográfica en cinco ubicaciones comerciales de las dos localidades; 2) monitoreo de PM10 y PM2.5 en 56 rutas de reparto, empleando un equipo de bajo costo; 3) bitácoras diarias de los recorridos que apoyaron la interpretación de los datos del equipo, y 4) entrevista semiestructurada con el rutero para explorar sus percepciones frente a los peligros durante los recorridos. Resultados. Se identificaron diferencias en las condiciones de trabajo, las percepciones y las exposiciones a material particulado de los repartidores entre las dos localidades de estudio que constituyeron fuentes de injusticia ambiental. Los recorridos que realizaron los repartidores en la localidad de Kennedy registraron mayores concentraciones de PM10 y PM2.5. Las fuentes de contaminación atmosférica identificadas por los repartidores mostraron los peores parámetros en Kennedy. Conclusiones. Se evidenció que la calidad del aire, el equipamiento urbano, la infraestructura vial, las fuentes móviles y la ubicación geoespacial son elementos que marcan la presencia de injusticia ambiental para los repartidores. Para disminuir esta inequidad, es necesario que las plataformas de reparto digital y el gobierno distrital implementen estrategias que reduzcan la exposición y la emisión de contaminantes del aire con el fin de proteger la salud de los repartidores de plataformas.


Abstract Introduction. Air quality is a matter of interest for public health due to its rapid deterioration in low- and middle-income countries and the effects of polluted air on the health of populations. Objective. To explore the air quality conditions in which digital platform delivery workers carry out their work, evaluating the localities of Kennedy and Usaquén in Bogotá, 2021. Materials and methods. We developed a mixed parallel convergent study based on four sources of information: 1) Ethnographic observation in five commercial locations of the two localities; 2) Monitoring of PM10 and PM2.5 in 56 delivery routes using a low-cost sensor; 3) Daily logs of the routes to support the device data interpretation, and 4) A semi-structured interview applied to the drivers to explore their danger perception during the routes. Results. We identified elements causing environmental injustice among digital platform delivery workers between the two study locations. The routes made by the delivery drivers in the locality of Kennedy registered higher concentrations of PM10 and PM2.5, compared to the values observed in Usaquén. The sources of air pollution identified by the delivery drivers through ethnographic observation and the router logbook showed the worst parameters in Kennedy. Conclusions. We evidenced that air quality, urban equipment, road infrastructure, mobile sources, and geospatial location are elements that mark the presence of environmental injustice for the digital platform delivery drivers in the studied localities. To reduce this inequity, it is necessary for digital delivery platforms and the district government to implement strategies that reduce the exposure and emission of air pollutants to protect the health of digital platform delivery workers.

Objective: The main objective of this study is to report on the implementation and results of the "Supporting Health-Related Judicial Decisions in Brazil" project conducted at the Health Technology Assessment Center, Hospital Sírio-Libanês through the "Programa de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Institucional do Sistema Único de Saúde", in Brazil. Methods: This study is an experience report of a project conducted at the Health Technology Assessment Center, Hospital Sírio-Libanês. Results: The activities of the project occurred in 2023 and included two online training courses on primary studies and systematic reviews, 11 one-day workshops with technical-scientific content for members of the Technical Support Centers for the Judiciary (NATJus), 40 online technical-scientific consultations for magistrates on a digital platform, 11 technical-scientific reports addressing the most legally claimed technologies in Brazil; two methodological tools, a national forum (hybrid event), 10 chat-based mentorships for NATJus members; and the maintenance of an open-access blog, by publishing news on relevant topics on law and health. Discussion and conclusion: This project has contributed to the improvement of the judicial decision-making process by providing a range of activities aimed at aiding the prioritization of health technologies that are clearly effective and safe over those that are ineffective, harmful, or have uncertain effects.


Objetivo: O objetivo principal deste estudo é relatar a implementação e os resultados do projeto "Apoio técnico-científico à tomada de decisão judicial em Saúde no Brasil" realizado no Hospital Sírio-Libanês por meio do "Programa de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Institucional do Sistema Único de Saúde". Métodos: Este estudo é um relato de experiência de um projeto realizado no Núcleo de Avaliação de Tecnologias em Saúde do Hospital Sírio-Libanês. Resultados: As atividades do projeto ocorreram em 2023 e incluíram dois cursos de formação online sobre estudos primários e revisões sistemáticas, 11 oficinas de um dia com conteúdo técnico-científico para membros dos Núcleos de Apoio Técnico ao Judiciário (NATJus), 40 consultas on-line técnico-científicas para magistrados em plataforma digital, 11 relatórios técnico-científicos abordando as tecnologias mais reivindicadas judicialmente no Brasil; duas ferramentas metodológicas, um fórum nacional (evento híbrido), 10 mentorias via chat para membros do NATJus; e a manutenção de um blog de acesso aberto, com publicação de notícias sobre temas relevantes de direito e saúde. Discussão e conclusão: Este projeto contribuiu para a melhoria do processo de tomada de decisão judicial, fornecendo uma série de atividades destinadas a ajudar na priorização de tecnologias de saúde que sejam claramente eficazes e seguras em detrimento daquelas que são ineficazes, prejudiciais ou têm efeitos incertos.


Objetivo: El objetivo principal de este estudio es informar sobre la implementación y los resultados del proyecto "Apoyo a las Decisiones Judiciales Relacionadas con la Salud en Brasil" realizado en el Centro de Tecnología en Salud del Hospital Sírio-Libanês a través del "Programa de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Institucional do Sistema Único de Saúde", en Brasil. Métodos: Este estudio es un informe de experiencia de un proyecto realizado en el Centro de Tecnología en Salud del Hospital Sírio-Libanês. Resultados: Las actividades del proyecto ocurrieron en 2023 e incluyeron dos cursos de capacitación en línea sobre estudios primarios y revisiones sistemáticas, 11 talleres de un día de contenido técnico-científico para miembros de los Centros de Apoyo Técnico al Poder Judicial (NATJus), 40 consultas técnico-científicas en línea para magistrados en plataforma digital, 11 informes técnico-científicos que abordan las tecnologías más reclamadas legalmente en Brasil; dos herramientas metodológicas, un foro nacional (evento híbrido), 10 mentorías basadas en chat para miembros de NATJus; y el mantenimiento de un blog de acceso abierto, mediante la publicación de noticias sobre temas relevantes en derecho y salud. Discusión y conclusión: Este proyecto ha contribuido a mejorar el proceso de toma de decisiones judiciales proporcionando actividades para priorizar las tecnologías sanitarias claramente eficaces y seguras frente a aquellas que son ineficaces, nocivas o de efectos inciertos.

Resumen Introducción : Las consecuencias económicas de la cobertura obligatoria, vía judicial, de medicamentos de alto precio constituye un problema creciente, que amerita conocer sus características locales para aportar posibles soluciones. Objetivo : Identificar medicamentos, enfermedades, impacto económico y factores contextuales de la ju dicialización de medicamentos de alto precio (MEP) Argentina. Métodos : Estudio descriptivo cuali-cuantitativo que analizó retrospectivamente recursos de amparos legales por MEP de tres bases de datos nacionales y provinciales durante 4 años, evaluando relación existente entre am paros con aprobación regulatoria, inclusión de los MEP al paquete de beneficios y relación con notas periodísticas. Resultados : Se incluyeron 405 amparos provenientes principalmente del Ministerio de Salud Nacional. Los tres medicamentos más judicializados fueron nusiner sen (21.7%), palbociclib (5.9%) y agalsidasa-alfa (4.7%). Solo el 69.4% de los medicamentos se encontraban aprobados para la comercialización en Argentina al momento del amparo; el 45.7% se encontraban incorpo rados al Sistema Único de Reintegros y el 16.8% contaban con informe de la Comisión Nacional de Evaluación de Tecnologías Sanitarias y Excelencia Clínica (CONETEC), negativa en el 87.1% de casos. El tiempo promedio des de la solicitud hasta la provisión del medicamento fue de 150 días. Se observó una correlación temporal entre la aparición del MEP en la prensa nacional gráfica y la presentación de amparos de dicho MEP. Conclusiones : La judicialización se concentró en medicamentos de altísimo precio para enfermedades poco frecuentes u oncológicas. Los fallos fueron mayo ritariamente a favor del demandante, siendo los tiempos de acceso al medicamento prolongados. Los medios de comunicación anticiparon los procesos judiciales.


Abstract Introduction : The economic consequences of manda tory coverage, through judicial means, of high-priced medications constitutes a growing problem, which mer its knowing its local characteristics to provide possible solutions. Objective : To identify medications, diseases involved, economic impact and contextual factors of the judi cialization of high-priced medications in the Argentine Health System(MEP). Methods : Quali-quantitative descriptive study that retrospectively analyzed legal protection resources by MEP from three national and provincial databases from January 2017 to December 2020, evaluating the exist ing relationship between lawsuits with regulatory ap proval, inclusion in benefit packages and relationship with journalistic articles for the three most frequently prosecuted drugs. Results : 405 lawsuits were included, mainly from the Ministry of National Health. The three most prosecuted medications were nusinersen (21.7%), palbociclib (5.9%) and agalsidase-alfa (4.7%). Only 69.4% of medications were approved for marketing in Argentina at the time of the protection; 45.7% were incorporated into the Single Reimbursement System, and 16.8% had a report from the National Commission for the Evaluation of Health Technologies and Clinical Excellence (CONETEC), which was negative in 87.1% of cases. The average time from request to provision of the medication was 150 days. A temporal correlation was observed between the appear ance of the MEP in the national graphic press and the appeals occurrence. Conclusions : Judicialization focused on very high-priced medications for rare or oncological diseases. The rulings were mostly in favor of the plaintiff, and access times to the medication took a long time. The mass media anticipated the judicial processes.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación de la adicción a las redes sociales en la salud mental de los estudiantes de medicina humana en una universidad peruana. Material y métodos: Estudio cuantitativo, correlacional, transversal y analítico en el que colaboraron 172 educandos, 82 féminas y 90 varones. Se aplicó el cuestionario Adición a las Redes Sociales diseñado por Escurra y Salas el cual constó de 24 preguntas evaluadas mediante escala de Likert, el mismo fue validado con un Alfa de Cronbach de 0.94. Además, se utilizó el Cuestionario DASS-21 el cual consta de 21 ítems, subdividido en 3 subescalas: depresión, ansiedad y estrés y ha sido validado con un Alfa de Cronbach de 0.96. Resultados: 46.3% de los educandos presentó adicción en nivel medio y alto a las redes sociales. Se halló una correlación significativa entre la ansiedad, el estrés y la adicción a las redes sociales, aunque no se encontró una conexión relevante entre esta última y la depresión. Conclusión: La adicción a las redes sociales impacta negativamente en la salud mental de los educandos, generando niveles elevados de ansiedad y estrés

Objective: To determine the relationship of social media addiction in the mental health of human medicine students at a Peruvian university. Material and methods: Quantitative, correlational, cross-sectional and analytical study in which 172 students, 82 females and 90 males, collaborated. The questionnaire Addition to Social Networks designed by Escurra and Salas was applied which consisted of 24 questions evaluated by Likert scale, it was validated with a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.94. In addition, the DASS-21 Questionnaire was used, which consists of 21 items, subdivided into 3 subscales: depression, anxiety and stress and has been validated with a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.96. Results: 46.3% of the students presented addiction at medium and high level to social networks. A significant correlation was found between anxiety, stress and social media addiction, although no relevant connection was found between the latter and depression. Conclusion: Addiction to social networks negatively impacts on the mental health of students, generating high levels of anxiety and stress

Introducción. Anudar es una de las habilidades quirúrgicas esenciales y de su correcta ejecución dependen procesos de vital importancia. La adquisición de estas competencias requiere trabajo motor, entornos amigables y realistas. Una estrategia para facilitar el aprendizaje de la técnica de anudado es generar instrumentos de simulación accesibles. Métodos. Se presenta un simulador de nudos quirúrgicos, construido con materiales de bajo costo y asequibles para la población en general, con un presupuesto de aproximadamente $5.000 COP (US$ 1,23). Resultados. Se desarrolló un simulador de nudos quirúrgicos que, al fijarse a la extremidad inferior desde una posición sentada, proporciona una superficie estable para llevar a cabo la práctica de anudado de manera efectiva. Conclusión. La cirugía moderna considera la seguridad del paciente como la principal prioridad, por lo que ya no es apropiado adoptar un método de formación de "ver uno, hacer uno, enseñar uno". Es la práctica constante mediante simuladores, el método más adecuado. Este trabajo presenta una alternativa de aprendizaje ininterrumpido de las técnicas quirúrgicas relacionadas con los nudos.


Introduction. Knotting is one of the essential surgical skills and vitally important processes that depends on its correct execution. The acquisition of these skills requires motor work, friendly and realistic environments. A strategy to facilitate learning the knotting technique is to generate accessible simulation instruments. Methods. A surgical knot simulator is presented, built with low-budget materials and affordable for the general population, with a budget of approximately $5,000 COP (US$ 1.23). Results. A surgical knot simulator has been developed in a way that, when attached to the thigh of a lower extremity from a seated position, provides a stable surface to effectively perform knot tying practice. Conclusion. Modern surgery considers patient safety as the top priority, so it is no longer appropriate to adopt a "see one, do one, teach one" training method. Constant practice using simulators is the most appropriate method. This work presents an alternative for uninterrupted learning of surgical techniques related to knots.

Background: Poor sleep quality is a global health concern and is fast becoming one of the silent epidemics. Sleep quality among medical students is of particular interest as they are considered high risk groups for developing sleep related issues because of their demanding schedules. This study aims to estimate the magnitude of poor sleep and its correlates among undergraduate medical students of a medical school in Belgaum, India. Methods: An institutional based descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among 293 undergraduate medical students using a self-administered questionnaire. Sleep quality was assessed using Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI). The potential determinants of quality of sleep were identified using logistic regression. A p<0.05 was considered statistically significant and adjusted odds ratio with 95%CI was used to present the strength of association. Results: The prevalence of poor sleep quality among medical students was 69.3%. Factors like gender, female students (AOR=2.381, 95%CI=1.359-4.172), being overweight or obese (AOR=2.499, 95%CI=1.297-4.817) were associated with poor sleep quality. Students with good sleep hygiene (AOR=0.415, 95%CI=0.231-0.745) and who did not use technology during bedtime (AOR=0.38, 95%CI=0.168-0.878) were less likely of having poor sleep quality at p<0.05. Conclusions: Prevalence of poor sleep quality among substantial proportion of medical students in the current study is alarming. The already existing personal and professional development programme committee can conduct routine screening to assess sleep quality among students and focus on programmes to improve their sleep hygiene.

Background: Assisted reproductive technology (ART) is a set of medical interventions used to facilitate the conception process in couples suffering from fertility issues. ART encompasses several techniques, including ovulation induction (OI), artificial insemination, testicular sperm extraction (TESE), in vitro fertilization (IVF), and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). This current study aimed to analyze the correlation between psychological strength and difficulties among children born by ART and normally conceived (NC) children. Methods: The study was conducted in a longitudinal retrospective fashion, in Combined Military Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh, from December 2022 to June 2023. A total of 47 participants from the ART group and 50 participants from the NC group were selected as study subjects by purposive sampling technique. Data were gathered using a pre-designed questionnaire and analyzed using the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) version 23.0 computer program. Results: The age range of the study participants was between 2 to 4 years old. A majority of the participants were female (53.2%), hailed from middle-class families (59.6%), lived in urban settings (42.6%), and identified as Muslim (72.3%). In terms of illnesses, a small proportion experienced physical ailments (6.4%) and psychiatric conditions (10.6%). Conclusions: Despite persistent worries regarding the potential adverse developmental effects on children conceived by ART, research findings suggest that such children do not exhibit noteworthy physical, psychological, or developmental challenges when compared to those conceived naturally.

Robotic-assisted gait training plays a pivotal role in the rehabilitation of individuals recovering from post-stroke and post-spinal cord injuries. By employing sophisticated robotics, this therapy facilitates repetitive, task-specific movements essential for relearning walking patterns. The precision and customisation of robotic systems ensure tailored interventions targeting specific impairments. Moreover, these technologies provide real-time feedback, enhancing patient engagement and motivation. In this review, 11 articles were finalized for review, five were for post-stroke rehabilitation and 6 for spinal cord injuries. Results show that there is improvement in Spatiotemporal parameters of gait, functional outcomes and quality of life.In Conclusion, robotic-assisted gait training ultimately accelerates recovery, improves functional outcomes, and restores independence, profoundly impacting rehabilitation effectiveness.

Objetivo: construir y validar un folleto educativo enfocado en la atención domiciliaria de lesiones por presión. Método: estudio metodológico realizado en tres etapas: elaboración de los temas, construcción del folleto y validación del contenido por parte de los jueces. El folleto fue elaborado en la plataforma digital de diseño gráfico Canva®, con un enfoque dinámico y autoexplicativo, adecuado al público objetivo, con una apariencia ligera, atractiva y con un lenguaje sencillo. La validación del contenido se realizó utilizando el Índice de Validez de Contenido (IVC). Resultados: El folleto se tituló "Lesión por presión y cuidados domiciliarios: ¿Hablemos de eso?", validado por 8 jueces con un índice de validez de contenido global superior a ≥0,78. Teniendo en cuenta la preocupación de accesibilidad lingüística por parte de los jueces, se llevó a cabo una revisión de contenido y adecuación textual para la versión final. Conclusión: La tecnología construida y validada demostró potencial para ser utilizada y generar mejoras en la atención domiciliaria de las personas con lesiones por presión. Investigaciones futuras deberían centrarse en validar la usabilidad de la tecnología por parte de los usuarios. (AU)


Objective: To create and validate an educational pamphlet focused on home care for pressure injuries. Method:This methodological study was conducted in three stages: topic development, pamphlet creation, and content validation by experts. The pamphlet was designed using the Canva® digital graphic design platform, considering a dynamic, self-explanatory approach suitable for the target audience, featuring a light and attractive appearance with simple language. For content validation, the Content Validity Index (CVI) was used. Results: The pamphlet, titled "Pressure Injuries and Home Care: Let's Talk About It?", was validated by eight experts with an overall CVI above ≥ 0.78. Due to concerns raised by the experts regarding linguistic accessibility, a content review and textual adjustments were made for the final version. Conclusion: The constructed, validated pamphlet has demonstrated potential for use and improvement in home care for people with pressure injuries. Future research should focus on validating the usability of the technology by users. (AU)

Para validação de conteúdo, utilizou o Índice de Validade de Conteúdo (IVC). Resultados: A cartilha foi intitulada "Lesão por pressão e cuidados domiciliares: Vamos falar sobre isso?", validada por oito juízes com índice de validade de conteúdo geral acima de ≥ 0,78. Considerando a preocupação por parte dos juízes, diante da acessibilidade linguística, foi realizada uma revisão do conteúdo e adequação textual para a versão final. Conclusão: A tecnologia construída e validada demonstrou potencial para ser utilizada e gerar melhoria dos cuidados domiciliares às pessoas que convivem com lesões por pressão. Como perspectiva para pesquisas futuras, ressalta-se a validação da usabilidade da tecnologia pelos usuários. (AU)

RESUMEN Las demandas actuales de las industrias hacen necesario recurrir a nuevas herramientas para la generación de desarrollo e innovación tecnológica, por lo cual, se ha identificado la necesidad de implementar tecnologías en la búsqueda de tendencias en el campo de los procesos de modificación de los materiales amiláceos. Este estudio tuvo por objetivo determinar la dinámica de producción científica, por medio de herramientas de innovación, como la vigilancia científica en la modificación de almidones por hidrólisis enzimática, asistida por tecnologías emergentes. Para ello, se realizó un análisis cuantitativo de los resultados, a partir de recopilaciones de datos derivados de bases científicas, reportados en clústeres y mapas de tendencias, con información sobre las principales revistas, autores, línea de tiempo, entidades y áreas de conocimiento en la modificación físico-enzimática del almidón. Esta vigilancia permitió identificar que las investigaciones se están orientando a las modificaciones duales y la aplicación de tecnologías emergentes (campos eléctricos, ultrasonido y microondas), como métodos alternativos en la modificación del almidón de cereales y tubérculos.


ABSTRACT The current demands of the industries make it necessary to resort to new tools for the generation of technological development and innovation, therefore, the need to implement technologies in the search for trends in the field of starch modification processes has been identified. The objective of this study was to determine the dynamics of scientific production by means of innovation tools such as scientific surveillance in starch modification by enzymatic hydrolysis assisted by emerging technologies. For this purpose, a quantitative analysis of the results was carried out based on compilations of data derived from scientific databases reported in clusters and trend maps with information on the main journals, authors, timelines, entities, and areas of knowledge in starch physico-enzymatic modification. This monitoring allowed the identification that research is being oriented to dual modifications and the application of emerging technologies (electric fields, ultrasound, and microwaves) as alternative methods in the modification of cereal and tuber starch.

Resumen Objetivo: determinar la relación de los factores socioeconómicos, los inherentes al paciente, los servicios de salud, los tratamientos y el uso de tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TIC) con la adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes con hipertensión arterial que asisten a una institución de salud en Duitama, Boyacá. Metodología: Se desarrolló un estudio cuantitativo, correlacional descriptivo de corte transversal; en el cual se buscó establecer relaciones entre los factores asociados a la adherencia al tratamiento y la adherencia al tratamiento; en un universo de pacientes con la hipertensión arterial que asisten a una institución de salud en Duitama, Boyacá de enero a agosto de 2021, a partir del cual, teniendo en cuenta los criterios de inclusión, se seleccionaron 200 participantes por muestreo aleatorio sistemático. Resultados: Se encontró alto grado de correlación entre los factores socioeconómicos y el nivel de usabilidad de TIC, con la adherencia al tratamiento y correlación significativa entre los factores relacionados con el proveedor, relacionados con la terapia y con el paciente, con la adherencia al tratamiento en el grupo de participantes, siendo relevante la vinculación entre los conceptos de adherencia al tratamiento y autocuidado. Conclusión: los factores que logran explicar el comportamiento de adherencia del grupo de estudio son los factores socioeconómicos, factores relacionados con la terapia, factores relacionados con el paciente y el nivel de usabilidad de tecnologías de la información y la comunicación.


Abstract Objective: To determine the relationship of socioeconomic factors, those inherent to the patient, services during health, treatments and the use of ICT, with adherence to treatment in patients with arterial hypertension who attend a health institution in Duitama, Boyacá. Methodology: A quantitative, descriptive correlational cross-sectional study was developed; in which it was sought to establish relationships between the factors associated with adherence to treatment and adherence to treatment; in a universe of patients with hypertension who attend a health institution in Duitama, Boyacá during January to August 2021, from which and taking into account the inclusion criteria, 200 participants were selected by systematic random sampling. Results: A high degree of correlation was found between socioeconomic factors and the level of ICT usability, with adherence to treatment, and a significant correlation between provider-related, therapy-related, and patient-related factors, with adherence to treatment. Treatment in the group of participants, the link between the concepts of adherence to treatment and self-care being relevant. Conclusion: The factors that manage to explain the behavior of adherence of the study group are socioeconomic factors, factors related to therapy, factors related to the patient and the level of usability of Technology of the information and communication.


Resumo Objectivo: Determinar a relação de fatores socioeconômicos, inerentes ao paciente, serviços durante a saúde, tratamentos e uso de TIC, com a adesão ao tratamento em pacientes com hipertensão arterial que frequentam uma instituição de saúde em Duitama. Materiais e métodos: Foi desenvolvido um estudo quantitativo e descritivo correlacional de corte transversal, no qual se buscaram relações entre os fatores associados à adesão ao tratamento e a adesão ao tratamento, em um universo de pacientes hipertensos atendidos em uma unidade de saúde em Duitama, Boyacá, durante janeiro a agosto de 2021, dos quais e levando em conta os critérios de inclusão, foram selecionados 200 participantes por amostragem aleatória sistemática. Resultados: Foi encontrado um alto grau de correlação entre os fatores socioeconômicos e o nível de usabilidade das TICs com a adesão ao tratamento, e uma correlação significativa entre os fatores relacionados ao provedor, à terapia e ao paciente com a adesão ao tratamento. No grupo de participantes, a ligação entre as noções de adesão ao tratamento e autogestão é relevante. Conclusão: Os fatores que explicam o comportamento de adesão do grupo de estudo são fatores socioeconômicos, fatores relacionados à terapia, fatores relacionados ao paciente e o nível de usabilidade da tecnologia da informação e comunicação.

This review explores the impact of electronic prescribing (e-prescribing) systems on clinical pharmacy practice, highlighting the potential benefits and challenges associated with their use. Medication errors, a significant concern within healthcare settings, have been shown to decrease with the adoption of e-prescribing, offering a promising tool to enhance patient safety and reduce adverse drug events. However, the transition from traditional handwritten prescriptions to electronic methods introduces new challenges, including the emergence of new types of errors, such as incorrect drug selection, and potential increases in mortality rates, as observed in pediatric patient. Furthermore, it discusses the limited exploration of e-prescribing in primary care and community pharmacy settings, areas that require further investigation to fully understand the benefits and burdens of e-prescribing use. By examining barriers related to person, tasks, environment, tools and technologies, and organizational factors, this review emphasizes the importance of considering various aspects that influence the efficacy and safety of e-prescribing systems. The findings suggest a critical need for incorporating human factors principles in the design and evaluation of these systems to ensure they effectively support clinical pharmacy practice and enhance patient care.
