Objective: To explore the effect of continuous nursing on self-management behavior and living quality of patients who received maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) in primary hospital. Methods: Sixty patients who received MHD were randomly divided into control group (n=30) and observation group (n=30). Patients of control group received routine health education, and that of observation group received the intervention of continuous nursing based on the routine method of control group. The self-management behavior and living quality of the two groups were scored at pre- and 6 month post- intervention so as to compare the self-management behavior and living quality between the two groups. Results: After 6 months, the self-management behavior of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group (t=1.712, P<0.05). The scores (51-60) of living quality of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group(x2=8.01, P<0.05). Conclusion: Continuous nursing is an effective way to improve the self-management behavior and living quality of patients received hemodialysis in primary hospital.

Objective To observe the effect of the modified Yulin Decoction on improving the living quality of patients with yang-deficiency of the spleen and kidney of premature ovarian failure. Methods One hundred and twenty-seven patients were divided into experimental group (80) and control group (47) by non-randomized noninferiority comparative study. The experimental group was treated with modified Yulin Decoction daily orally once a day. The control group was treated with oral estradiol valerate and progesterone cycle. Two groups received continuous medication for 21 d, and treatment interval was 5 d. Three cycles of treatment were set as one course, and treated for 2 courses. The SF-36 scale was used to calculate the total scores and scores of eight dimensions before and after treatment. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference (P>0.05) in the scores of SF-36 dimensions (except somatic pain) and total score between the two groups. Compared with before treatment, the score and total score of SF-36 in the experimental group increased (P<0.05, P<0.01). The mental health score of the control group was higher than that of before treatment (P<0.05, P<0.01). After treatment, there was statistical significance in the two dimensions of vitality and mental health in the two groups (P<0.05). There were significant differences (P<0.01) in the total score and scores of SF-36 physiological function, physical pain, general health, vigor, social function, emotional function and mental health between the two groups. Conclusion Modified Yulin Decoction can improve the living quality of patients with yang-deficiency of the spleen and kidney of premature ovarian failure.

OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects of risperidone combined Ningxin yizhi capsule on the cognitive function,neuro-logic function and living quality of cerebral infarction. METHODS:110 patients with cerebral infarction were randomly divided in-to control group(55 cases)and observation group(55 cases). All patients received aspirin, statins, penicillins, physical rehabilita-tion and other conventional treatment;based on it,control group orally received Risperidone tablet with initial dose of 0.5 mg, once a day,1 week later, the amount of drugs was adjusted according to the patient's tolerance and conditions,0.5 mg was in-creased every week, with maximum dose of less than 2 mg,no other antipsychotic drugs except risperidone. Observation group ad-ditionally received 0.9 g Ningxin yizhi capsule,3 times a day. The treatment course for both groups was 2 months. Montreal cogni-tive assessment (MoCA) score, neurobehavioral cognitive status tests scale (NCSE),National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)score, activities of daily living scale(ADL)score and table of daily living-Barthel Index(Barthel-Index)before and af-ter treatment, and the incidence of adverse reactions in 2 groups were observed. RESULTS:Before treatment, there were no signifi-cant differences in the MoCA scores,NCSE scores,NIHSS scores,ADL scores and Barthel-Index in 2 groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the MoCA scores,NCSE scores,ADL scores and Barthel-Index in 2 groups were significantly higher than before, and observation group was higher than control group,NIHSS scores were significantly lower than before, and observation group was lower than control group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Based on the conventional treatment, risperidone combined Ningxin yizhi capsule can significantly improve the cognitive function, neurologic function and living quality of cerebral infarction, with good safety.

Objective To investigate the influence of early oral feeding (EOF)after laparoscopic surgery in the function status and gastrointestinal living quality of the patients with colorectal cancer, and to clarify the feasibility of EOF after laparoscopic surgery. Methods Sixty-three patients underwent laparoscopic surgery of colorectal cancers participated in the trial.Of these,31 patients received EOF as EOF group, received a clear liquid diet on the first postoperative day followed by a regular diet as tolerated;the other 32 patients received traditional oral feeding (TOF ) as TOF group who were fed with feeding only after the recovery of their postoperative gastrointestinal functions. The nasogastric tube was removed from all patients in both groups immediately after surgery.Self-designed EOF questionnaire data, Karnofsky Scores and Gastrointestinal Quality of Life Index (GIQLI)Scores were used to evaluate the functional status and gastrointestinal living guality of the patients. Results The using time of total parenteral nutrition (TPN),time of postoperative hospital stay, and costs after surgery in EOF group were lower than those in TOF group (P0.05),and the incidence of abdominal distension was higher than that in TOF group (P<0.05);on postoperative day 7,the albumin recovered faster in EOF group (P<0.05),and on postoperative day 4 and 7,the pro-albumin also recovered faster in EOF group (P<0.05);the patients in EOF group had a higher Karnofsky score (P<0.05)and GIQLI score compared with the patients in TOF group (P<0.05 ). Conclusion EOF after laparoscopic surgery in the patients with colorectal cancers is beneficial for rehabilitation, and it can reduce the risk of hospitalization and saving its costs;it plays an active role in protein recovery, and improves the functional status and gastrointestinal living quality of the patients.

@#Objective To investigate the impact of chronic disease self-management on motor function, activities of daily living, quality of life, and depression of patients in poststroke rehabilitation in community. Methods 120 stroke patients living in Gangdu community, Wuhan city were selected and randomly divided into self-management group (n=60) and control group (n=60). The control group experienced home rehabilitation and functional training by themselves, meanwhile they were asked to have regular outpatient referral and do the followup clinic when feeling indisposed. Self-management mode was used in the self-management group instructed by the professor and under the rehabilitation assessment by community doctors, therapist and family members. Also group separated instruction, individualized rehabilitation plan, home visit processes and patients' group activity had been organized. They were evaluated with Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA), modified Barthel Index (MBI), Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD) and the World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-100) before and 6 months after intervention. Results There were no difference in FMA upper and lower limbs scores as well as the MBI score, HAMD score and WHOQOL-100 score before intervention (P>0.05). The FMA upper and lower limbs score, MBI score and WHOQOL- 100 score significantly improved in the self-management group and were better than in the control group 6 months after intervention (P<0.05). The control group also improved in the above items, however, the differences were not statistically significant (P>0.05). HAMD score significantly reduced in the self-management group and less than in the control group 6 months after intervention (P<0.05). The control group also reduced in the above scores, however, the differences were not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion Chronic disease self-management for stroke patients in community can significantly improve their motor function, activities of daily living and quality of life, and reduce depression caused by stroke.
