RESUMO

Objective To develop an Exercise Behavior Perception Scale for Lung Cancer Patients in China, and to test its reliability and validity. Methods According to the health belief model, the first draft of the scale was formed through literature review,semi-structured interview, research group discussion,2 rounds of expert correspondence and pre-survey.A total of 842 patients with lung cancer who received treatment in a tertiary A hospital in Zhengzhou City from October 2022 to April 2023 were selected for investigation, and item analysis, validity analysis, and reliability analysis were applied to adjust the items to form a formal scale. Results The Exercise Behavior Perception Scale for Lung Cancer Patients contained 24 items, and exploratory factor analysis generated 6 common factors, including physical rehabilitation benefits, emotional and mental benefits, information disorders, disease symptom disorders, condition disorders, and psychological disorders. The cumulative variance contribution rate reached 73.916%,and the results of confirmatory factor analysis showed that the model fit was good, the x2/df was 2.371,the root mean square error of approximation was 0.057,the normed fit index was 0.924,and the comparative fit index was 0.954,the scale score was moderately positively correlated with the total score of the Frenchay activities index(r=0.529,P<0.001).The Cronbach's α,coefficient, half reliability, and retest reliability of the scale were 0.884,0.741,and 0.889,respectively.Conclusion The Exercise Behavior Perception Scale for Lung Cancer Patients had good reliability and validity, and it can be used to effectively evaluate the exercise behavior perception status of lung cancer patients.

RESUMO

A case of Schwannoma in the submandibular gland was reported which had been misdiagnosed as pleomorphic adenoma before operation. The tumor was originated from lingual nerve which in turn invaded the Schwann membrane near the submandibular ganglion.

RESUMO

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To evaluate the application of acellular dermal matrix (ADM) in the reconstruction of defect after head and neck tumor resection.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>A total of 75 cases applied with ADM after head and neck tumor resection were reviewed. There were 47 cases of laryngeal carcinoma (glottic 41, supraglottic 3, and infraglottic 3), 5 cases of hypopharyngeal carcinoma, 11 cases of maxillary sinus carcinoma, 9 cases of oral cavity tumor, 3 cases of cervical trachea tumor. Among them 25 cases of laryngeal carcinoma, 4 cases of hypopharyngeal carcinoma, 7 cases maxillary carcinoma, 6 cases oral carcinoma, and one case of cervical trachea malignancy received postoperative adjuvant chemoradiotherapy. The patients were postoperatively followed up from 2 weeks to 3 years.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Among 75 cases, 65 cases, including 40 cases of laryngeal carcinoma, 4 cases of hypopharyngeal carcinoma, 9 cases of oral cavity tumor, 9 cases of maxillary carcinoma and 3 cases trachea tumor, presented with good wound healing without any complication within 3 months; the 47 patients with tracheotomy were decannulated successfully; 2 cases of laryngeal carcinoma and 1 case of hypopharyngeal carcinoma were complicated with pharyngeal fistula, which healed with dressing change, followed by decannulation; 5 cases had laryngeal stenosis and decannulation failed in these patients; and 3 cases of maxillary carcinoma had wound infection.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>ADM application is a easy and feasible method for the repair of the defect after head and neck tumor resection.</p>

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE@#To investigate the preservation of the structure and function of the trachea and larynx, the management of laryngotracheal defect when trachea and larynx was involved.@*METHOD@#To review the management and clinical results of 13 cases of thyroid papillary carcinoma with larynx and trachea involvement, the preservation of laryngotracheal structure and relative defect reconstruction of our department from 2007-2014. Those patients being performed total laryngectomy was excluded. 3 males and 10 females, aged from 46 to 67 years old with median age of 53 were included. Among them 8 cases were recurrent. The extent of the tumor foci was estimated with the help of computed tomography and laryngofiberoscope before surgery. Selective neck dissection, total thyroidectomy and related laryngotracheal resection was performed for the first time operation patient, while selective neck dissection, recurrent foci and related larynx and trachea resection was performed for those recurrent patients. Three kinds of modalities were applied to manage the laryngotracheal defect including to reconstruct with pedicled sternocleidomastoid clavicular periosteocutaneous flap, pedicled trapizius muscular flap and to preserve the remaining larynx and trachea and perform a stoma of larynx and trachea which repaired by a second-stage procedure. The patients were followed-up from half an year to 3 years.@*RESULT@#Ten patients out of 13 decannulated while another 3 cases, 2 of which were performed local flap to reduce the stoma, wore tracheal tubes all time.@*CONCLUSION@#Either flap transfer or laryngotracheal stoma before second stage repair might preserve partial laryngotacheal anatomy and function in selected cases thus improve the life quality of the patients.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the relationship between dipeptidyl peptidaseⅡ(DPPⅡ) and the pathogenesis of congenital cataract. Methods Eighty SCR rats with congenital cataract were randomly divided into four groups:8,10,12 and 14 weeks groups(n=20).Normal Wistar rats at each age were used as control groups.Immunohistochemical experiments using the streptavidin-biotin immunoper-oxidase method were used to observe the immunoreactivity changes of DPPⅡ in lens in SCR rats at different time(8,10,12,14 weeks). Results The immunoreactivities of DPPⅡ in the lens epithelial cells and fibres of cataractous lenses of all ages were higher than those in control groups. At the 12th and 14th week, immunoreactive staining of DPPⅡwas found to extend into the perinuclear region. Conclusion The immunoreactivity of DPPⅡ is enhanced in cataractous rat lenses.DPPⅡ may be participated in the proteolytic modification of lens proteins during cataractogenesis.
