RESUMO

OBJECTIVE To explore the clinical effect of concurrent chemoradiotherapy combined with nituzumab in the treatment of locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma in Guangxi,Yunnan and Guizhou.METHODS A total of 80 patients with locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma who were pathologically confirmed and admitted to Affiliated Hospital of Youjiang Ethnomedicine from July 2021 to July 2022 from ethnic minority areas near the border of Guangxi,Yunnan and Guizhou were selected as the subjects of this study. They were randomly divided into control group(standard concurrent chemoradiotherapy)and observation group(combined treatment with nituzumab on the basis of control group),with 40 cases in each group. The levels of tumor markers, oxidative stress indicators, adverse reactions, complications, and recent clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared.RESULTS After treatment, the levels of superoxide dismutase(SOD),cytokeratin 19 fragment antigen21-1(CYFRA21-1),squamous cell carcinoma associated antigen(SCCAg)and serum ferritin(SF)were significantly decreased in both groups, while nitric oxide(NO)and malondialdehyde(MDA)were significantly increased. The levels of SCCAg,SF,CYFRA21-1,NO and MDA in observation group were lower than those in control group, and the level of SOD was higher than those in control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the objective response rate(ORR)in the observation group was increased(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).CONCLUSION Concurrent chemoradiotherapy combined with nituzumab can effectively improve the short-term survival rate and clinical efficacy of patients with locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma, regulate tumor markers and oxidative stress levels, and alleviate the disease.

RESUMO

Entropy model is widely used in epileptic electroencephalogram (EEG) analysis, but there are few reports on how to objectively select the parameters to compute the entropy model in the analysis of resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rfMRI). Therefore, an optimization algorithm to confirm the parameters in multi-scale entropy (MSE) model was proposed, and the location of epileptogenic hemisphere was taken as an example to test the optimization effect by supervised machine learning. The rfMRI data of 20 temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) patients with hippocampal sclerosis, positive on structural magnetic resonance imaging, were divided into left and right groups. Then, the parameters in MSE model were optimized by the receiver operating characteristic curves (ROC) and area under ROC curve (AUC) values in sensitivity analysis, and the entropy value of the brain regions with statistically significant difference between the groups were taken as sensitive features to epileptogenic hemisphere lateral. The optimized entropy values of these bio-marker brain areas were considered as feature vectors input into the support vector machine (SVM). Finally, combining optimized MSE model with SVM could accurately distinguish epileptogenic hemisphere in TLE at an average accuracy rate of 95%, which was higher than the current level. The results show that the MSE model parameter optimization algorithm can accurately extract the functional imaging markers sensitive to the epileptogenic hemisphere, and achieve the purpose of objectively selecting the parameters for MSE in rfMRI, which provides the basis for the application of entropy in advanced technology detection.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the key initiatives and effective methods for preparing the constructions of emergency-oriented hospitals under COVID-19 pandemic. Methods The wartime mechanism was strengthened by adhering to unified leadership, trengthening the top-level design and clarifying the division of responsibilities. Objective management was used as a means to take into account the key of personnel allocation and training, prevention and control of hospital infection, transformation of contagious ward, logistic support, equipment and material supply and construction of system and process. Results The preparations and constructions of the emergency-oriented hospitals were completed in 72 hours, which passed the acceptance and inspections from infection control experts, who appraised our work to be “the highest in difficulty, the fastest in project progress and the highest in quality". Totally, upon to the preparations,14 medical teams were set up and the layout process reestablishment of 14 wards was completed, the installation and preparation of nearly 10000 sets/pieces of medical equipment and medical materials were completed as well and more than 80 work systems and process systems for 9 major modules were established. Conclusion The preparations and constructions of emergency-oriented hospitals should be performed upon the thorough implementation of the decisions and arrangements by the municipal Party committee and the municipal government, insisting on the wartime thinking and establishment of high-quality management team and effective goal management focusing on details and actual needs of medical staff.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the feasibility of using composite scaffolds of rabbit oral epithelial cells and polycaprolactone (PCL) electrospun fibers for urethral repair. Methods The 25%PCL was prepared using a 5:1 by volume mixture of trichloromethane and anhydrous methanol, and PCL fiber tubular scaffolds were obtained by electrospinning. Rabbit oral mucosa epithelial cells (1.5 × 105) were implanted on the PCL scaffold. Subsequently, they were embedded in nude mice subcutaneous, explanted in 2 weeks. PCL fiber tubular scaffolds without rabbit oral mucosa epithelial cells were used as control. The complex urethral scaffolds were evaluated by immunofluorescence staining with cytokeratin antibody and HE staining. Results Compared with blank PCL group, the rabbit oral mucosa epithelial cell group showed a good cellularization. Rabbit oral mucosa epithelial cells formed a dense cell layer on the surface of PCL lumen, which suggested that rabbit oral mucosa epithelial cells can proliferate on the surface of PCL lumen. Conclusion Rabbit oral epithelial cells can be used as one of the seed cells for tissue engineered urethral scaffolds, and it is possible to construct tissue engineering substitute materials for urethral repair by rabbit oral epithelial cells combined with PCL.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the expression of astrocyte elevated gene 1(AEG-1) in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) and its clinicalpathological significance .Methods The expression of AEG-1 in NSCLC tissues and adjacent normal lung tissues was detected by RT-PCR and Western blot .The expression of AEG-1 in 87 NSCLC samples and 54 non-cancerous lung tissues was ex-amined with immunohistochemistry .Results RT-PCR and Western blot indicated that AEG-1 was more expressed in NSCLC tis-sues compared with adjacent normal lung tissues .The positive rate of AEG-1 in NSCLC tissues was 52 .9% ,which was significantly higher than that in non-cancerous lung tissues .The difference between the two groups was significant (P=0 .007) .Relevance was analyzed between the expression of AEG-1 and clinicalpathological characteristic .The expression of AEG-1 was positively correlated with T stage and N stage(P<0 .05) .Conclusion AEG-1 was specifically up-regulated in NSCLC tissues compared with non-can-cerous lung tissues ,suggesting that AEG-1 may play an important role in tumor development and progression ,and could be identi-fied as a biomarker for diagnosis of NSCLC .
