RESUMO

Objective: To investigate the effects of exosome derived from miR-133a-3p engineered human umbilical cord blood mesenchymal stem cells (ucMSC) on myocardial repair after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in rats. Methods: UcMSC was amplified and cultured in vitro. Lentiviral carrying miR-133a-3p and negative control vectors were transfected into ucMSC. Exosomes secreted by the transfected ucMSC were named miR-133a-3p-Exo and miR-NC-Exo, respectively. The AMI model of rats was established by ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery. MiR-133a-3p-Exo or miR-NC-Exo were then injected into the border zone of the infarct area. Cardiac function was assessed by echocardiography after twenty-eight days of intervention, and Masson staining was used to evaluate the area of myocardial fibrosis post-AMI. The myocardial apoptosis after infarction was evaluated by TUNEL staining and the angiogenesis after infarction was evaluated by immunofluorescence staining in the current study. Results: Compared with the miR-NC-Exo group, the left ventricular ejection fraction in the miR-133a-3p-Exo group was significantly increased ((47.4%±9.8%) vs. (64.2%±8.9%), P<0.05). While the myocardial fibrosis area ((31.2%±7.3%) vs. (18.0%±1.5%), P<0.01) and the percentage of apoptotic cardiomyocytes ((25.6%±3.6%) vs. (15.1%±4.4%), P<0.05) was significantly reduced in the miR-133a-Exo group. Besides, the expression of CD31 and α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) were also increased significantly in the miR-133a-3p-Exo group compared to the miR-NC-Exo group (CD31: (2.9±0.9) vs. (13.9±2.0), P<0.000 1, α-SMA: (3.5±0.9) vs. (11.0±1.6), P<0.000 1). Conclusion: Exosome derived from miR-133a-3p engineered ucMSC effectively inhibited myocardial apoptosis and promoted angiogenesis, thus improving the cardiac function after myocardial infarction in rats.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE@#To observe the impacts of acupuncture on depressive mood and sleep quality in patients with comorbid mild-to-moderate depressive disorder and insomnia, and explore its effect mechanism.@*METHODS@#A total of 60 patients with comorbid mild-to-moderate depressive disorder and insomnia were randomly divided into an observation group (30 cases, 1 case dropped off) and a control group (30 cases, 2 cases dropped off). In the observation group, acupuncture and low frequency repeated transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) were combined for the intervention. Acupuncture was applied to Baihui (GV 20), Yintang (GV 24+), Neiguan (PC 6) and Yanglingquan (GB 34), etc., the needles were retained for 30 min; and the intradermal needles were embedded at Xinshu (BL 15) and Danshu (BL 19) for 2 days. After acupuncture, the rTMS was delivered at the right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (R-DLPFC), with 1 Hz and 80% of movement threshold, lasting 30 min in each treatment. In the control group, the sham-acupuncture was adopted, combined with low frequency rTMS. The acupoint selection and manipulation were the same as the observation group. In the two groups, acupuncture was given once every two days, 3 times weekly; while, rTMS was operated once daily, for consecutive 5 days a week. The duration of treatment consisted of 4 weeks. Hamilton depression scale-17 (HAMD-17) and Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) scores were observed before and after treatment, as well as 1 month after the treatment completion (follow-up period) separately. Besides, the levels of nerve growth factor (BDNF) and γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the serum were detected before and after treatment in the two groups.@*RESULTS@#After treatment and in follow-up, the HAMD-17 scores were lower than those before treatment in the two groups (P<0.05), and the scores in the observation group were lower than the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the total scores and the scores of each factor of PSQI were reduced in the two groups in comparison with those before treatment except for the score of sleep efficiency in the control group (P<0.05); the total PSQI score and the scores for sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep efficiency and daytime dysfunction in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). In the follow-up, except for the scores of sleep duration and sleep efficiency in the control group, the total PSQI score and the scores of all the other factors were reduced compared with those before treatment in the two groups (P<0.05); the total PSQI score and the scores of sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep duration, sleep efficiency and daytime dysfunction in the observation group were lower than the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum BDNF and GABA were increased in comparison with those before treatment in the observation group (P<0.05), and the level of serum BDNF was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05).@*CONCLUSION@#Acupuncture relieves depressive mood and improves sleep quality in patients with comorbid mild-to-moderate depressive disorder and insomnia. The effect mechanism may be related to the regulation of BDNF and GABA levels and the promotion of brain neurological function recovery.

RESUMO

Acute-on-chronic kidney disease (ACKD) increases the risk of progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD). This study aimed to evaluate the ability of a novel criteria of reference change value of the serum creatinine optimized criteria for acute kidney injury in CKD (cROCK) to detect ACKD patients. Methods: This was a retrospective observational study with a 3-year follow-up. All included patients with CKD stage 3 were evaluated using cROCK, Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO), and their combined criteria. The renal composite endpoints, major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs), and all-cause mortality were recorded as clinical outcomes. Results: A total of 812 patients was enrolled. The cROCK criteria detected more ACKD events than did the KDIGO (68.0% vs. 59.5%, p < 0.001). Compared to KDIGO (−) & cROCK (−) group, ACKD patients diagnosed by cROCK had significantly higher hazard ratio [HR] for renal composite endpoints (HR, 3.591; p < 0.001), MACEs (HR, 1.748; p < 0.001), and all-cause mortality (HR, 2.985; p < 0.001). The patients in KDIGO (+) & cROCK (+) group had the lowest survival probability when considering renal composite endpoints, MACEs, and all-cause mortality (all p < 0.001). Furthermore, cROCK resulted in the largest area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) for predicting renal composite endpoints, and the combined criteria led to the largest AUC for predicting MACEs and allcause mortality. Conclusion: Compared to the KDIGO, the cROCK detected more ACKD events. Combining both cROCK and KDIGO criteria might improve the predictive ability for long-term outcomes in ACKD patients.

RESUMO

Objective: To exploring the clinical features of SF3B1-mutated myelodysplastic syndrome with excess blasts (MDS-EB) and analyzing the association between SF3B1 mutation, and efficacy and prognostic significance for patients with MDS-EB. Methods: This was a retrospective case series study. The clinical data of 266 patients with MDS-EB diagnosed in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University between April 2016 and November 2021 were analyzed. The observed indicators included blood routine counts, mutated genes, overall response rate (ORR), overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), and leukemia-free survival (LFS). The Kaplan-Meier method was used to depict the survival curves. The Log-rank test method was equally used to compare survival across groups and performed the Cox proportional hazard regression model for prognostic analysis. Results: In 266 patients with MDS-EB, 166 (62.4%) were men, and the median age was 57 (17-81) years. Moreover, there were included 26 and 240 patients in the SF3B1-mutated and SF3B1 wild-type groups. Patients in the SF3B1-mutated group were older [median age 65 (51, 69) years vs. 56 (46, 66) years, P=0.033], had higher white blood cell (WBC) counts [3.08 (2.35, 4.78) × 109/L vs. 2.13 (1.40, 3.77) × 109/L], platelet (PLT) counts [122.5 (50.5, 215.0) ×109/L vs. 49.0 (24.3, 100.8) × 109/L], absolute neutrophil counts (ANC) [1.83 (1.01, 2.88) × 109/L vs. 0.80 (0.41, 1.99) × 109/L]and occurrence of DNMT3A mutation [23.1% (6/26) vs. 6.7% (16/240)] (all P<0.05). The ORR were similar in both groups after 2 and 4 cycles of therapy (P=0.348, P=1.000). Moreover, the LFS (P=0.218), PFS (P=0.179) and OS (P=0.188) were similar across the groups. Univariate Cox analysis revealed that SF3B1 mutation did not affect the prognosis of patients with MDS-EB (OS: P=0.193; PFS: P=0.184). Conclusions: Patients with SF3B1 mutation were older, with greater WBC, PLT, and ANC, and SF3B1 mutation easily co-occurred with DNMT3A mutation. From this model, there were no significant differences in efficacy and survival of MDS-EB with or without SF3B1 mutation.

RESUMO

Aim To investigate the mechanism of Qizhu anti-cancer prescription ( QZACP) inthe treatment of primary liver cancer using network pharmacology and molecular docking. Methods Drugs and primary liver cancer ( PLC) -related targets were found according to TCMSP database and disease databases such as GeneCard, the key chemical components and core targets were screened by Cytoscape 3. 9. 1 and String platform respectively, and a network relationship diagram of traditional Chinese medicine-active component-target was constructed by using Cytoscape 3.9. 1. GO functional analysis and KEGG pathway analysis were performed using DAVID platform, visualized by R 4. 1. 1 software, and finally the core clustered proteins were analyzed by CytoNCA plug-in to obtain the core action targets, and the core components and key targets were verified by using molecular docking technology and the pharmacodynamic mechanism of QZACP was further verified by animal experiments. Results The active ingredients of QZACP in the treatment of primary liver cancer may be quercetin, glycyrrhizin, Denudatin B, isoflavanone, sanguinarol, etc. ; the potential targets were STAT3, EGFR, AKT1 etc. ; the related pathways were mainly PI3K-Akt signaling pathway,MAPK signaling pathway, etc. ; molecular docking showed that the core compounds had better integrating conformation with the key targets. In addition, QZACP could inhibit the growth of tumor in nude mice and decrease the expression of STAT3, EGFR and AKT1. Conclusions Qizhu anti-cancer prescription may have some positive significance in the treatment of primary liver cancer, which may be related to the regulation of PI3K/Akt signaling pathway.

RESUMO

@#Abstract: Objective To explore the value of real-time shear wave elastography in evaluating the severity of liver fibrosis in hepatitis B, and to analyze the factors that affecting its accuracy. Methods A total of 196 chronic hepatitis B patients, who admitted to the Third Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu Medical College from February 2018 to October 2020, were selected for retrospective analysis. Demographic indicators such as gender, age, body mass index(BMI), and laboratory indicators such as fasting blood glucose, liver function, and blood lipid composition were collected. The patients were detected by real-time shear wave elastography. Taking the pathological test results as the gold standard, the diagnostic value of real-time shear wave elastography in the severity of liver fibrosis in chronic hepatitis B was analyzed, and the comprehensive effect of various factors on the diagnostic accuracy of real-time shear wave elastography was evaluated by Logistic regression analysis. Results The differences in real-time shear wave elastography of patients with different severity of liver fibrosis in hepatitis B were statistically significant, and F0 grade <F1 grade <F2 grade <F3 grade <F4 grade (all P<0.05). ROC analysis showed that the cut-off values of real-time shear wave elastography for patients with liver fibrosis in hepatitis B ≥ F1, ≥ F2, ≥ F3 and F4 were 6.15 kPa, 7.03 kPa, 8.15 kPa and 10.09 kPa respectively; the area under the curve (AUC) was 0.759, 0.806, 0.900 and 0.930 respectively (P<0.05). Results of multivariate Logistic regression analysis based on univariate analysis showed that glutamic alanine transaminase (ALT), glutamic oxalacetic transaminase (AST), fatty liver and inflammation levels were independent factors affecting the accuracy of real-time shear wave elastography in evaluating the severity of liver fibrosis in hepatitis B (P<0.05). Conclusions Real-time shear wave elastography technology can be used to evaluate the severity of liver fibrosis in hepatitis B, and its accuracy is mainly affected by ALT, AST, inflammation levels and fatty liver.

All patients received routine postoperative intervention, the time of ambulation were 4, 6 and 12 h after operation in the early group, middle group and late group, respectively. The complication rate within 24 h after operation was compared among the three groups, and the comfort level of the three groups at 24, 48 and 72 h after operation was evaluated with Comfort Status Scale (GCQ).Results:Finally, 111 patients were included, including 37 in the early group, 38 in the middle group and 36 in the late group. There was no significant difference in the incidence of bleeding or hematoma, urinary retention, lumbago within 24 h after operation among the three groups ( P>0.05). The incidence of postural hypotension within 24 h after operation in the early group was 2.7% (1/37), which was lower than 21.1% (7/38) and 25.0% (9/36) in the middle and late groups, with a statistically significant difference ( χ2=4.86, 7.67, both P<0.05). At 48 and 72 h after operation, the scores of physiological dimension, psychological dimension and the total score of GCQ in the early group were (20.68 ± 3.07), (22.54 ± 3.35), (81.68 ± 6.11) and (22.54 ± 3.73), (24.38 ± 2.49), (84.92 ± 6.37), higher than those in the middle group (19.16 ± 2.19), (21.32 ± 2.27), (78.24 ± 5.58), (20.93 ± 2.85), (22.32 ± 2.04), (81.66 ± 6.56), and those in the late group (18.44 ± 1.50) (21.31 ± 1.99), (78.06 ± 4.32), (20.89 ± 2.25), (21.58 ± 1.86), (80.28 ± 6.44), the differences were statistically significant ( t values were 2.19-4.15, all P<0.05). Conclusions:Ambulation at 4 h after operation does not increase peripheral vascular complications, but can reduce the incidence of postural hypotension and improve the comfort of patients with atrial fibrillation after radiofrequency ablation.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE To study the pharm acokinetics of venlafaxine(VEN)combined with vinpocetine (VIN)in rats ,and to investigate the interaction between them. METHODS Healthy male SD rats were randomly divided into VEN group (13.5 mg/kg), VIN group (1.8 mg/kg) and VEN + VIN group (13.5 mg/kg VEN + 1.8 mg/kg VIN ),with 6 rats in each group. Before administration, rats in each group fasted but didn ’t deprived of water for 12 hours, and were given corresponding drugs intragastrically at one time. Blood was collected from rats in each group through orbital venous plexus at different time points after administration. After plasma sample was pretreated (domperidone as internal standard ),LC-MS/MS method was adopted to determine the concentration of VEN ,active metabolite O-desmethylvenlafaxine of VEN (ODV)and active metabolite apovinblastic acid of VIN (AVA)in plasma. DAS 2.0 software was used to calculate and compare the pharmacokinetic parameters of VEN ,ODV and AVA. RESULTS Compared with VEN group ,the pharmacokinetic parameters cmax,AUC0-t,AUC0-∞,MRT0-t(except for VEN),MRT0-∞(except for VEN )of VEN and ODV in VEN+VIN group were increased significantly ,while CL/ F and Vz/F were decreased significantly (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Compared with VIN group ,there was no statistical difference in the pharmacokinetic parameters of AVA in rat plasma of VEN+VIN group (P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS After the combination of VEN and VIN ,VIN can affect the metabolism of VEN by increasing the absorption of VEN and ODV and slowing down their elimination.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES@#To study the biological processes and functions of serum exosomes in children in the acute stage of Kawasaki disease (KD), so as to provide new biomarkers for the early diagnosis of KD.@*METHODS@#In this prospective study, 13 children with KD who were treated in Children's Hospital of Soochow University from June 2019 to August 2020 were enrolled as the KD group, and 13 children who were hospitalized due to bacterial infection during the same period were enrolled as the control group. Whole blood was collected on the next morning after admission, serum samples were obtained by centrifugation, and exosomes were extracted through ultracentrifugation. Serum exosomes were analyzed by label-free quantitative proteomics, and differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) were screened out for functional enrichment analysis. A protein-protein interaction (PPI) network was plotted, and unique proteins were validated by targeted proteomics.@*RESULTS@#A total of 131 DEPs were screened out for the two groups, among which 27 proteins were detected in both groups. There were 48 unique DEPs in the KD group, among which 23 were upregulated and 25 were downregulated, and these proteins acted on "complement and coagulation cascades" and "the MAPK signaling pathway". Validation by targeted proteomics showed that FGG, SERPING1, C1R, C1QA, IGHG4, and C1QC proteins were quantifiable in the KD group. A total of 29 proteins were only expressed in the control group, among which 12 were upregulated and 17 were downregulated. Four proteins were quantifiable based on targeted proteomics, i.e., VWF, ECM1, F13A1, and TTR. A PPI network was plotted for each group. In the KD group, FGG and C1QC had close interaction with other proteins, while in the control group, VWF had close interaction with other proteins.@*CONCLUSIONS@#The serum exosomes FGG and C1QC in children in the acute stage of KD are expected to become the biomarkers for the early diagnosis of KD. For children with unexplained fever, detection of FGG, C1QC1, and VWF may help with etiological screening.

RESUMO

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of Biejiajian Wan (BJJW) on transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1)-induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of HepG2 cells, and explore its mechanism against EMT of hepatocellular carcinoma cells. MethodHepG2 cells were randomly divided into a blank group, a TGF-β1 model group (10 μg·L-1 TGF-β1), a low-dose BJJW group (10 μg·L-1 TGF-β1+0.55 g·kg-1 BJJW), a medium-dose BJJW group (10 μg·L-1 TGF-β1+1.1 g·kg-1 BJJW), a high-dose BJJW group (10 μg·L-1 TGF-β1+2.2 g·kg-1 BJJW), and a sorafenib group (10 μg·L-1 TGF-β1+0.03 g·kg-1 sorafenib). The EMT model was induced by 10 μg·L-1 TGF-β1 in HepG2 cells. After treatment with corresponding medicated serum, cell counting kit -8 (CCK-8) assay was used to detect cell proliferation. Cell migration ability was detected by the Transwell assay and wound healing assay. The protein expression related to EMT and nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) signaling pathway was detected by cell immunofluorescence assay and Western blot. ResultCompared with the blank group 4 days later, the TGF-β1 model group showed fusiform and loose cells with widened gap and antennae reaching out, decreased protein expression of E-cadherin (P<0.05), and increased protein expression of N-cadherin and vimentin (P<0.05), which indicated that the EMT model was properly induced in HepG2 cells by TGF-β1 stimulation for 4 days. After 48 hours of treatment with the corresponding medicated serum, each medication group showed inhibited proliferation of HepG2 cells that had undergone EMT, especially the low- and high-dose BJJW groups (P<0.01), and the medium-dose BJJW group showed increased E-cadherin protein expression (P<0.05) and decreased p-p65, N-cadherin, and vimentin protein expression (P<0.05), as compared with the TGF-β1 model group. As revealed by the transwell assay and wound healing assay, TGF-β1 enhanced the migration ability of HepG2 cells (P<0.05, P<0.01) compared with the results in the blank group, compared with the TGF-β1 model group, the medication groups showed inhibited migration ability of HepG2 cells (P<0.05, P<0.01). Compared with the blank group, the TGF-β1 model group promoted the expression of p65 and Snail into the nucleus. Compared with the TGF-β1 model group, the medication groups inhibited the expression of p65 and Snail into the nucleus. ConclusionBJJW may inhibit the EMT, proliferation, and migration of HepG2 cells induced by TGF-β1 by suppressing the NF-κB signaling pathway to exert an anti-hepatocellular carcinoma effect.

RESUMO

Objective: To investigate the clinical effects of free peroneal artery perforator flaps in repairing forefoot skin and soft tissue defect wounds assisted with three-dimensional computed tomography angiography (3D-CTA). Methods: A retrospective observational study was conducted. From March 2017 to September 2019, 15 patients with skin and soft tissue defect wounds in the forefoot were treated in the Department of Burn and Plastic Surgery of Yidu Central Hospital of Weifang, including 12 males and 3 females, with age of 18-60 years. The wound area on admission was 3.0 cm×3.0 cm-9.0 cm×8.0 cm. The 3D-CTA examination before operation was performed to select the peroneal artery perforating vessels with appropriate length of vascular pedicle and good blood perfusion. According to the wound area and the perforating vessels of the peroneal artery located by 3D-CTA, the peroneal artery perforator flaps of 3.5 cm×3.5 cm-9.5 cm×8.5 cm carried with lateral sural cutaneous nerve was designed and cut, and the nerve was anastomosed with the nerve of the wound. The wound in the donor site of the flap was directly sutured or covered with medium-thickness skin graft from the thigh. The consistencies of type, diameter, and perforating position of perforating vessel of the peroneal artery detected by 3D-CTA before the operation with those of the actual measurement during operation were observed. The length of time for flap cutting and the survival of the flap after operation were recorded. During follow-up of 12 months after the operation, the patients were instructed to evaluate the foot function according to the Maryland foot function score standard, and the wound healing in the donor area and the occurrence of complications affecting the motor function of limb were observed. Data were statistically analyzed with paired sample t test. Results: The types of peroneal artery perforating vessels in patients measured during the operation were septocutaneous perforator of 12 cases, musculocutaneous perforator of 2 cases, and musculomuscular septal perforator of 1 case, which were consistent with those measured by preoperative 3D-CTA. The diameter of the peroneal artery perforating vessel measured by preoperative 3D-CTA was (1.38±0.17) mm, which was close to (1.40±0.19) mm measured during the operation (t=0.30, P>0.05). The horizontal distance from the starting point of the perforating vessel to the outer edge of the shank was (42±6) mm, and the vertical distance from the starting point of the perforating vessel to the level of the lateral ankle tip was (219±14) mm measured by preoperative 3D-CTA, which were respectively close to (43±6) and (221±15) mm of intraoperative measurement (with t values of 0.46 and 0.38, respectively, P>0.05). The length of time for cutting flap was (31±6) min. All flaps survived post operation without vascular crisis. During follow-up of 12 months after the operation, the foot function was evaluated as excellent in 11 cases, good in 3 cases, and fair in 1 case, the donor site wound healed well, the scar was not noticeable with no contracture, and the motor function of joints was not affected. Conclusions: Free peroneal artery perforator flap is one of the effective methods to reconstruct skin and soft tissue defect wounds in the forefoot, and the risk of surgery can be reduced when the anatomical location of the perforating vessels is confirmed by 3D-CTA.

RESUMO

Objective:To investigate the effect of preoperative hemoglobin (Hb) level on the risk of developing acute kidney injury (AKI) after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).Methods:A retrospective study was conducted. The hospitalized patients diagnosed with AMI who underwent PCI from May 2015 to May 2020 in the department of cardiology in the Affiliated Changzhou No.2 People's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University were enrolled. According to the serum creatinine (SCr) level before and after interventional therapy, the patients were divided into an AKI group and a non-AKI group. The difference in patients' Hb levels between the AKI and non-AKI groups was compared. Univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analyses were used to analyze the effects of Hb levels on the risk of AKI after interventional therapy in patients with AMI. Kaplan-Meier survival curve was used to evaluate the effects of Hb levels on patients with AMI in all-cause death in the hospital. Results:A total of 922 AMI patients were enrolled in this study, of which 165 patients (17.9%) developed AKI. Compared with the non-AKI group, female patients in the AKI group had a higher proportion [35.8% (59/165) vs. 26.9% (204/757)], older (age: 69.78±14.56 vs. 66.61±13.44), with a lower rate of smoking [42.4% (70/165) vs. 51.7% (391/757)] and a higher prevalence of hypertension [73.3% (121/165) vs. 63.5% (481/757)], however, the patients in AKI group also had a worse cardiac function [the proportion of Killip grade 3 or above was higher: 33.9% (56/165) vs. 13.9% (105/757)], lower Hb level (g/L: 127.61±22.18 vs. 132.79±19.45), and there were less patients using angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor/angiotensin Ⅱreceptor blocker [ACEI/ARB, 60.0% (99/165) vs. 74.5% (564/757)] and more patients using diuretics [24.8% (41/165) vs. 17.7% (134/757)] in AKI group, the differences were statistically significant (all P < 0.05). Compared with non-AKI group, patients in AKI group had a longer operation time [operation time > 60 minutes: 4.2% (7/165) vs. 1.5% (11/757)] and received more contrast media during the operative procedure [contrast media > 100 mL: 16.4% (27/165) vs. 3.6% (27/757)], the individuals had a higher rate of intra-operative hypotension [16.4% (27/165) vs. 8.2% (62/757)], and more patients were implanted more than 2 stents [8.5% (14/165) vs. 3.6% (27/757), all P < 0.05]. Univariate Logistic regression analysis suggested that each 1 g/L increase in preoperative Hb level was associated with a 1.2% decrease in the risk of postoperative AKI [odds ratio ( OR) = 0.988, 95% confidence interval (95% CI) was 0.980-0.996, P = 0.003]. Meanwhile, for every 1 standard deviation increase in preoperative Hb level, the risk of postoperative AKI decreased by 22.1% ( OR = 0.779, 95% CI was 0.661-0.918, P = 0.003). The patients were divided into low, medium and high concentration groups according to Hb levels (Hb levels were < 110 g/L, 110-150 g/L, ≥ 150 g/L, respectively), and multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the risk of AKI was significantly reduced in the high concentration group compared with that in the low concentration group ( OR = 0.463, 95% CI was 0.241-0.888, P = 0.020). The Kaplan-Meier survival curve analysis indicated that the short term survival after coronary intervention in AMI patients with low Hb concentration was significantly lower than that in patients with medium and high Hb concentration (Log-Rank: χ2= 23.215, P < 0.001). Conclusions:Preoperative lower Hb level is an independent risk factor for postoperative AKI in AMI patients. AMI patients with lower Hb levels have an increased risk of all-cause mortality within 1 month after AMI.
