RESUMO

@#Poroid hidradenoma is a rare adnexal neoplasm that presents with slow‑growing solitary dermal or subcutaneous nodules with pink, red, or blue coloration. Malignant transformation has been reported in about 1%; however, clinical and histologic characteristics may present similarly with malignant neoplasms. A 60‑year‑old, Filipino, female presented with a 1‑month history of a solitary, brownish‑black papule on the right cheek progressing to a translucent friable nodule with associated bleeding after minimal trauma. The patient was initially assessed as a case of basal cell carcinoma due to its rapid growth. Hence, the patient was referred to a dermatologic surgeon for biopsy. Poroid hidradenoma was confirmed histologically and was managed with local excision. Poroid hidradenoma presenting with rapid growth is a very rare occurrence.

RESUMO

Syringocystadenoma papilliferum is a rare benign hamartomatous tumor arising from apocrine or eccrine sweat glands with a predilection for head and neck. Here we report a case of a 30 year old female who presented to our opd with a nodule over scalp since birth which turned into a hairless , exophytic pinkish growth with blood tinged discharge slowly over the last 2 years . A punch biopsy of the lesion revealed syringocystadenoma papilliferum. Excision of the lesion is performed and specimen is sent for (hpe) histopathological examination which revealed syringocystadenoma papilliferum with no malignant transformation. Post operative recovery was uneventful and the patient was followed up till 6 months with no history of recurrence.

RESUMO

Nevus sebaceus is a hamartoma of the sebaceous gland that occurs congenitally, from which various secondary tumors can arise with a prevalence of 5%–6%. Benign neoplasms commonly arise from nevus sebaceous, but they have a very low malignant potential. Two neoplasms may occasionally arise within the same lesion, but it is rare for three or more neoplasms to occur in a nevus sebaceus simultaneously. A 61-year-old male patient was admitted to our hospital for a 4 cm×2.5 cm growing tumor in a verrucous form arising within a periauricular nevus sebaceus in the post auricle of the left ear that had developed 30 years earlier. The nodule was diagnosed as 3 different types of tumors: trichilemmoma, desmoplastic trichilemmoma, and basal cell carcinoma. To our knowledge, this is the first report of the coexistence of three different tumors arising from nevus sebaceous. It contain malignant neoplasm also. Surgeons should be aware of the need for close monitoring and early complete surgical excision of sebaceous nevus in order to improve patient outcomes.
