INTRODUCTION: Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are a major public health problem to which young people are highly exposed and knowledge about vulnerabilities that affect them is needed. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the knowledge about STIs and sexual behavior of a university population in the city of Sorocaba/SP. METHODS: A descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted with data collection realized by an online application with qualitative and quantitative characteristics. RESULTS: Four hundred and seventy-seven (477) university students from different areas of knowledge were analyzed. The majority pointed to the beginning of sexual life between 15 and 18 years old. Information about sex education was obtained mainly through parents and/ or guardians, while little additional knowledge was obtained after entering higher education. Biological and Health Sciences students achieved a higher score on the knowledge questionnaire and were less likely (0.391) to contract STIs when compared to Applied Social Sciences or Engineering students (2.8 and 2.9 more likely, respectively). CONCLUSION: Students who demonstrated greater knowledge about STIs and acquired more information on the subject during graduation were less likely to become infected, suggesting that campaigns aimed at the university public are essential for the prevention and control of these pathogens.


INTRODUÇÃO: As infecções sexualmente transmissíveis (IST) são um grande problema de saúde pública, ao qual os jovens apresentam alta exposição, sendo necessário um maior conhecimento sobre as vulnerabilidades que os acometem. OBJETIVO: Avaliar o conhecimento sobre as IST e o comportamento sexual de uma população universitária na cidade de Sorocaba/SP. MÉTODOS: Realizou-se um estudo descritivo, de corte transversal, com a coleta de dados realizada por meio de aplicação online de questionário com características qualitativas e quantitativas. RESULTADOS: Quatrocentos e setenta e sete (477) universitários de diferentes áreas de conhecimento foram avaliados. A maioria dos relatos apontou para o início da vida sexual entre 15 e 18 anos. As informações sobre educação sexual foram obtidas principalmente por intermédio dos pais e/ou responsáveis, enquanto pouco conhecimento adicional foi obtido após o ingresso no Ensino Superior. Estudantes de Ciências Biológicas e da Saúde alcançaram o maior score no questionário sobre conhecimento e apresentaram chances menores (0,391) de contrair IST, quando comparados aos estudantes de Ciências Sociais Aplicadas ou Engenharias (2,8 e 2,9 mais chances, respectivamente). CONCLUSÃO: Os estudantes que demonstraram maior conhecimento sobre as IST e que adquiriram mais informações sobre o tema durante a graduação apresentaram chances menores de se infectar, o que sugere que campanhas destinadas ao público universitário são essenciais para a prevenção e o controle desses patógenos.

Resumen Objetivo: este estudio tuvo como objetivo el diseño de una encuesta que busca conocer la percepción de la comunidad universitaria sobre los conceptos de salud, universidad saludable y elementos constitutivos, como un aporte al proceso de formulación de una política de universidad saludable. Metodología: mediante un análisis documental y guiados por la revisión de expertos y el marco referencial de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, se desarrolló una encuesta dirigida hacia la comunidad universitaria. Resultados: se construyó una encuesta que puede ser aplicada en línea, la cual cuenta con cuatro secciones, la primera, de caracterización sociodemográfica e institucional, y las otras tres cada una con una pregunta centrada en los conceptos clave del estudio y 32 afirmaciones asociadas. Las preguntas fueron de tipo ranking, donde los potenciales encuestados deben comparar afirmaciones entre sí y ordenarlas por preferencia. Conclusiones: el proceso de construcción de esta encuesta permite reflejar conocimientos e intereses de la comunidad, identificar prioridades y puntos de encuentro entre la diversidad de posiciones que naturalmente habitan en una universidad. El concepto de universidad saludable y su transformación en una política para la universidad requiere un proceso de participación que dé cuenta de una acción colectiva que muestre la coordinación y cooperación de actores clave y el desarrollo de capacidades institucionales.


Abstract Objective: This study aimed to design a survey that seeks to know the perception of the university community on the concepts of health, healthy university and constituent elements as a contribution to the formulation process of the construction of a healthy university policy. Methodology: Through a documentary analysis and guided by the review of experts and the referential framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), a survey was developed aimed at the university community. Results: A survey was built that can be applied online, which has four sections, the first on sociodemographic and institutional characterization, and the other three, each with a question focused on the key concepts of the study and 32 associated statements. The questions were of the "ranking" type, where potential respondents must compare affirmations with each other and sort them by preference. Conclusions: The construction process of this survey allows us to reflect the knowledge and interests of the community, identify priorities and meeting points between the diversity of positions that naturally inhabit a university. The concept of a healthy university and its transformation into a policy for the university requires a participatory process that accounts for collective action that shows the coordination and cooperation of key actors and the development of institutional capacities.


Resumo Objetivo: Este estudo teve como objetivo a elaboração de uma pesquisa que busque conhecer a percepção da comunidade universitária sobre os conceitos de saúde, universidade saudável e elementos constituintes como uma contribuição para o processo de formulação de uma política de universidade saudável. Metodologia: Por meio de uma análise documental e orientada pela revisão de especialistas e pelo marco referencial dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS), foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa voltada para a comunidade universitária. Resultados: Foi construída uma pesquisa que pode ser aplicada online, que possui quatro seções, a primeira de caracterização sociodemográfica e institucional, e as outras três cada uma com uma questão focada nos conceitos-chave do estudo e 32 afirmações associadas. As perguntas eram do tipo "ranking" onde os potenciais entrevistados devem comparar afirmações entre si e ordená-los por preferência. Conclusões: O processo de construção desta pesquisa permite refletir os conhecimentos e interesses da comunidade, identificar prioridades e pontos de encontro entre a diversidade de cargos que habitam naturalmente uma universidade. O conceito de uma universidade saudável e a sua transformação numa política para a universidade requer um processo participativo que dê conta da acção colectiva que mostre a coordenação e cooperação dos actores-chave e o desenvolvimento de capacidades institucionais.

INTRODUCCIÓN. El pilar fundamental en el docente universitario en el campo de las Ciencias de la Salud, es la modestia intelectual, su vocación, innovación, empatía, organización y actualización constante, resumidas en el saber, saber hacer y saber ser, las cuales permitirán transmitir conocimientos y habilidades relevantes de manera integral y funcional al conglomerado estudiantil, con la misión de unificar la docencia ­ investigación ­ vinculación con la sociedad. OBJETIVO. Caracterizar las competencias básicas y específicas del docente universitario en el campo de las Ciencias de la Salud. JUSTIFICACIÓN. Elaborar un perfil modelo de competencias para incrementar la calidad docente en las Instituciones de Educación Superior, priorizar y solventar las necesidades de la sociedad en la actualidad. METODOLOGÍA. Estudio de revisión bibliográfica de 21 manuscritos seleccionados de Google académico, PubMed y LILACS Regional, cuyas fechas de publicación corresponden al año 2011 ­ 2023, con excepción de un documento del año 1994 por la importancia sobre la articulación en la formación del personal de salud. El criterio de búsqueda consistió en el empleo de frases clave como "Educación Basada en Competencias", "Personal Docente", "Ciencias de la Salud", "Educación Basada en Competencias", "Educación Médica", "Universidades". RESULTADOS. El docente universitario en el campo de las Ciencias de la Salud debe contar con un perfil de competencias básicas (comunicativas, tecnológicas, sociales, cognitivas, personales), competencias específicas (planificación, organización, didáctica, evaluación, reflexión), que permita un desempeño óptimo, con la misión de cumplir con los indicadores de calidad de las Instituciones de Educación Superior y trascender en el proceso enseñanza ­ aprendizaje. CONCLUSIÓN. Las competencias básicas y específicas del docente universitario en el campo de las Ciencias de la Salud se sustentan y resumen en el saber, saber hacer y saber ser, es transversal la aplicación de la competencia de modestia intelectual y el valor de la empatía que mantienen el espíritu de crecimiento sostenido en la búsqueda del conocimiento y excelencia académica para la docencia en las Ciencias de la Salud priorizando la calidad del proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje.

The fundamental pillar in the university teacher in the field of Health Sciences is intellectual humility, his vocation, innovation, empathy, organization and constant updating, summarized in knowledge, knowing how to do and knowing how to be, which will allow the transmission of knowledge and skills relevant in a comprehensive and functional way to the student group, with the mission of unifying teaching ­ research ­ connection with society. AIM. Characterize the basic and specific competencies of the university teacher in the field of Health Sciences. JUSTIFICATION. Develop a model profile of competencies to increase teaching quality in Higher Education Institutions, prioritize and solve the needs of society today. METHODOLOGY. Bibliographic review study of 21 manuscripts selected from Google Scholar, PubMed and LILACS Regional, whose publication dates correspond to the year 2011 ­ 2023, with the exception of a document from 1994 due to the importance of articulation in the training of health personnel. The search criteria consisted of the use of key phrases such as "Competency-Based Education", "Educational Personnel", "Health Sciences", "Competency-Based Education", "Education, Medical", "Universities". RESULTS. University teachers in the field of Health Sciences must have a profile of basic competencies (communicative, technological, social, cognitive, personal), specific competencies (planning, organization, didactics, evaluation, reflection), that allow performance optimal, with the mission of complying with the quality indicators of Higher Education Institutions and transcending the teaching-learning process. CONCLUSION. The basic and specific competencies of the university teacher in the field of Health Sciences are based on and summarized in knowledge, knowing how to do and knowing how to be; the application of the competence of intellectual humility and the value of empathy that maintain the spirit of sustained growth in the search for knowledge and academic excellence for teaching in the Health Sciences, prioritizing the quality of the teaching-learning process.

Introducción: La Comisión Nacional de Residencias Médicas (CONAREM) es el principal sistema de admisión para la tutoría clínica de residencias médicas en Paraguay, avalado por Ministerio de Salud Pública y Bienestar Social. Objetivos. Determinar la relación entre el puntaje final obtenido y el promedio de grado en postulantes a convocatorias CONAREM 2019-2023. Metodología: Estudio transversal con variables sociodemográficas, académicas, puntajes del examen y puntaje final. Se aplicaron métodos descriptivos y pruebas de Kolmogórov-Smirnov, t de Student, U de Mann-Whitney, Kruskal-Wallis y correlación de Spearman; utilizando software Stata© 17.0 de StataCorp LLC. Se consideraron significativos cuando p<0.05. Resultados: De 2019 a 2023, 4.768 médicos postularon examen CONAREM. 62,12 % eran mujeres, 34,51 % tenían entre 22 y 25 años y 95,30 % estaban solteros. El promedio de grado fue 3,56  0, 49. La mayoría (69,09 %) provenían de universidades privadas. En las especialidades preferidas, clínica médica fue más común (20,31 %), luego cirugía general y pediatría (ambas 14,30 %), 39,14 % pudo acceder a especialidad preferida. El puntaje final promedio fue 67,92 (RIC 60,78 - 76,76) con diferencias significativas según edad, universidad de procedencia y año de examen. Con modelo de regresión logística se demostró que promedio de grado, edad, universidad pública y primera participación en examen estaban asociados con mayor probabilidad de obtener mejores puntajes. El modelo tenía coeficiente de ajuste de 0, 318, indicando que solo predice el 32 % de resultados. La correlación fue moderada y significativa entre puntaje final y promedio general de grado. Según universidad, la correlación fue baja y no significativa para universidades extranjeras, mientras que universidades públicas y privadas mostraron correlación moderada pero significativa. Discusión. Los mejores promedios de grado se correlacionan moderadamente con mayor probabilidad de puntajes altos y acceder a especialidades de preferencia de los médicos recientemente graduados, provenientes de universidades públicas que hayan rendido por primera vez el examen de la CONAREM.


Introduction: The National Commission of Medical Residencies (CONAREM) is the main admission system for clinical tutoring of medical residencies in Paraguay, endorsed by the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare. Objectives: Determine the relationship between the final score obtained and the average degree in applicants to CONAREM calls 2019-2023. Methods: Cross-sectional study with sociodemographic and academic variables, exam scores and final score. Descriptive methods and tests of Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Student's t, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis and Spearman's correlation were applied; using Stata© 17.0 software from StataCorp LLC. They were considered significant when p<0.05. Results: From 2019 to 2023, 4,768 doctors applied for the CONAREM exam. 62.12% had a female female, 34.51% from 22 to 25, and 95.30% were single. The grade point average was 3.56(0.49. The majority (69.09%) came from private universities. As for preferred specialties, medical clinic was more common (20.31%), then general surgery and pediatrics (both 14.30%). 39.14% could access preferred specialty. The average final score was 67.92 and significant differences were found according to age, university of origin and year of examination. With logistic regression model, it was shown that average grade, age, public university and first participation in the exam were associated with a higher probability of obtaining better scores. The model had an adjustment coefficient of 0.318, indicating that it only predicts 32% of outcomes. The correlation was moderate and significant between final score and overall grade point average. By type of university, the correlation was low and not significant for foreign universities, while public and private universities showed moderate but significant correlation. Discussion: The best grade point averages correlate moderately with higher probability of high scores and access to specialties of preference and are associated with recently graduated doctors from public universities and took the exam for the first time.

Introduction: The confinement due to COVID-19 significantly affected people's food consumption, especially university students who had to adapt to virtual education. Objective: To determine the perception and food consumption frequency due to the COVID-19 pandemic among Peruvian students from a private university in Trujillo City, Peru. Materials and method: The research design was non-experimental, descriptive, and cross- sectional. The non-probabilistic sample consisted of 169 students and the instrument used was a virtual survey (Cronbach's alpha = 0.846). Results: It is shown that there is a higher frequency of young people (n = 116) and adolescents (n = 45) who participated in the study, and that the average age was 22.15 ± 3.77 years. Likewise, the Frequency of Consumption dimension, it showed a higher frequency in the "Sometimes" scale, where it is related to whether it exceeded the number of meals per day (34.9%), eating out of control (38.5%), desires to eat unhealthy food (32.0%) and whether it influenced eating (30.8%). Similarly, it was shown that the majority of respondents consumed fruits (68.6%) and vegetables (58.0%) and considered water consumption essential (98.3%). On the other hand, there was a higher frequency regarding the consumption of ultra-processed foods (n = 95, 56.2%). Conclusion: The population of a private university made up mostly of young people and adolescents perceives that there was a change in their diet during the COVID-19 pandemic(AU)


Introducción: El confinamiento por COVID-19 afectó notablemente el consumo de alimentos de las personas, sobre todo de los universitarios quienes tuvieron que adaptarse a una educación virtual. Objetivo: Determinar la percepción y la frecuencia del consumo de alimentos a causa de la pandemia por COVID-19 en estudiantes de una universidad privada de la ciudad de Trujillo (Perú). Materiales y métodos: El diseño de la investigación fue no experimental de tipo descriptivo, y de corte transversal. La muestra no probabilística estuvo conformada por 169 estudiantes y el instrumento utilizado fue una encuesta virtual (Alfa de Cronbach = 0,846). Resultados: Se muestra que hay una mayor frecuencia de jóvenes (n = 116) y adolescentes (n = 45) que participaron en el estudio, y que la edad promedio fue de 22,15 ± 3,77 años. Así mismo, en la dimensión Frecuencia de Consumo, tuvo una mayor frecuencia en la escala "A veces", donde se relaciona a si excedió el número de comidas al día (34,9%), comer fuera de control (38,5%), deseos de comer comida poco saludable (32,0%) y si influenció en la alimentación (30,8%). De la misma manera, se mostró que la mayoría de encuestados consumió frutas (68,6%) y verduras (58,0) y consideró imprescindible el consumo de agua (98,3%), por otro lado, hubo una mayor frecuencia respecto al consumo de alimentos ultraprocesados (n = 95, 56,2%). Conclusiones: La población de una universidad privada conformada mayoritariamente por jóvenes y adolescentes percibe que si hubo un cambio en su alimentación durante la pandemia del COVID-19(AU)

La obesidad se ha convertido en una de las mayores problemáticas de salud pública a nivel mundial, y Colombia no es ajena a esta situación. El entorno universitario constituye un escenario clave para el abordaje de esta problemática. Objetivo: Caracterizar el entorno alimentario de una universidad en Medellín, Colombia. Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo transversal mediante la observación directa y registro en formularios estructurados de todos los establecimientos de venta de alimentos. Se consideraron las siguientes variables: oferta de alimentos, precio, publicidad, facilitadores y barreras. Resultados: Ningún establecimiento se clasificó como saludable. En el 76% de los establecimientos, los paquetes o promociones eran más económicos. En el 62% de los establecimientos se observó que los platos saludables eran más costosos. Solo en dos establecimientos se observó publicidad directa para fomentar una alimentación saludable. Se ofrecían principalmente productos ultraprocesados (53%). Conclusión: los resultados del estudio muestran en general un panorama de un entorno alimentario poco saludable. Este diagnóstico se configura como un insumo importante para la toma de decisiones al interior de la institución para mejorar y promover una alimentación más saludable que permita disminuir el riesgo de desarrollar enfermedades crónicas en la comunidad universitaria.


Nowadays, obesity has become one of the biggest public health challenges worldwide. This scenario includes Colombia as well. Against this background, the university environment constitutes a key scenario for addressing this situation. Research Objective: To characterize the food environment of a university in Medellín, Colombia. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out through direct observation. Additionally, it was used structured forms for recording the data of the food establishments. The research considers the following variables: food supply, prices, advertising, facilitators and barriers. Results: No establishment was classified as healthy. In 76% of the establishments, the food-sets or promotions were cheaper. In 62% of the places under inspection, the healthy dishes were more expensive. Only in two establishments there was direct advertising that promoted healthy eating. In general, mainly ultra-processed edible products (53%) were offered. Conclusion: The results of the study generally paint a picture of an unhealthy food environment. This diagnosis is configured as an important input for decision-making within the institution to improve and promote a healthier diet that reduces the risk of developing chronic diseases in the university community.

La utilización de herramientas tecnológicas en la docencia condiciona el desarrollo de nuevas destrezas intelectuales en los estudiantes, lo que les facilita la aplicación de estrategias de investigación, mejora sus capacidades de una forma integral, les ayuda a enfrentar las dificultades y exigencias del mundo y les permite adquirir un aprendizaje más significativo para poder desenvolverse en el ámbito socioeducativo. Con vistas a cumplir lo anterior, se desarrolló un repositorio institucional de recursos educativos abiertos para la Universidad Virtual de Salud, a partir del empleo de herramientas tecnológicas libres y de código abierto que permiten la estandarización e interoperabilidad entre cada uno de los repositorios establecidos en el Sistema Nacional de Salud, con lo cual se garantizará una lógica de organización académica.


The use of digital technologies in teaching determines the development of new intellectual skills in students, which facilitates the application of investigation strategies, improves their capabilities in an integral way, helps them face the difficulties and demands of the current world and allows them to acquire more significant learning to have a good performance in the socio-educational environment. With a view to fulfilling the above, an institutional repository of open educational resources was developed for the Virtual Health University, based on the use of free and open-source technology tools that allow the standardization and interoperability among each of the repositories established in the National Health System, which will guarantee logic of academic organization.

RESUMEN Evaluar la asociación entre sintomatología ansioso-depresiva y la calidad de sueño en alumnos de la Universidad de Piura, Perú, pertenecientes al programa Beca 18. Estudio observacional transversal, en el que se utilizó el Índice de Calidad de Sueño de Pittsburgh (PSQI), la Escala de Autodiagnóstico de Ansiedad de Zung (SAS) y la Escala de Depresión de Zung (SDS). De los 293 alumnos becarios participantes en el estudio, 62,5 % reportaron ser «malos dormidores¼, y el 47,8 % y el 56,0 % presentaban algún grado de sintomatología ansiosa y depresiva, respectivamente. Se encontró también que, a medida que aumentaba la sintomatología ansioso-depresiva, la calidad de sueño empeoraba. Se evidenció así una relación significativa (p < 0,005) entre la calidad de sueño y los síntomas depresivos y ansiosos. Existe una tendencia significativa a que los universitarios del programa Beca 18 con sintomatología ansioso-depresiva experimenten concomitantemente un patrón de sueño de mala calidad.


ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the association between anxious-depressive symptomatology and sleep quality in students of the Universidad de Piura (Perú) belonging to the "Beca 18" Program. Methods: Cross-sectional observational study that used the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), the Zung's Self-Anxiety Scale (SAS) and the Zung Depression Scale (SDS). Results: From the 293 participating scholarship students, 62.5% were "poor sleepers", wheras 47.8% and 56.0%, respectively, presented some degree of anxious and depressive symptomatology; as well, it was found that as the anxious-depressive symptomatology increased, the quality of the students' sleep worsened. Thus, a significant relationship (p(p<0.005) between sleep quality and anxiety and depressive symptoms, was documented. Conclusions: There is a significant tendency for Beca 18 university students with anxious-depressive symptoms to concomitantly experience a sleep pattern of poor quality.

Traditional Chinese Medicine has a long history and plays a decisive role in the fields of modern medicine and pharmacy.It is an important part of our country's traditional medicine.With the progress of the times,people are paying more and more attention to the innovation and development of traditional Chinese medicine.However,the current traditional Chinese medicine talents trained by major universities cannot meet the needs and requirements of society.This is closely related to the current talent training model of universities.Local high-level universities have unique advantages and potential in cultivating inno-vative talents in traditional Chinese medicine.They can incorporate traditional Chinese medicine culture with local characteristics into the teaching content and practical links of training traditional Chinese medicine talents,and build innovative traditional Chi-nese medicine talents integrating science and education.The training model is more conducive to cultivating top innovative talents that meet the needs of society and and the development of traditional Chinese medicine.This article analyzes and discusses how local high-level universities can develop innovative talent training models that suit the needs of traditional Chinese medicine by combining local characteristics and disciplinary advantages,so as to provide useful reference and inspiration for local high-level u-niversities in cultivating talents in traditional Chinese medicine.

[Objective]To explore the construction measures of a new pattern of tutor-postgraduate relationship under the background of striving for"double first-class"traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)university,in order to continuously improve the quality of postgraduate training in TCM universities.[Methods]Under the background of striving for"double first-class"TCM universities,this paper introduces the practical significance of building a good mentoring relationship,and analyzes the outstanding problems existing in the mentoring relationship in the current TCM universities from the perspective of tutors and postgraduates-the two main subjects.[Results]Through the establishment of a good mentoring relationship,the tutor-postgraduate relationship has generally been positively influenced,and the communication between teachers and students has become closer and more efficient.Through a series of positive incentive mechanisms,tutors are more active in providing support and help to postgraduates in academic guidance,academic guidance and life care,and postgraduates are more active in cooperating with tutors in various scientific research work.The quantity and quality of academic papers published by postgraduates have been significantly improved,and the scientific research and teaching work of the tutor team have been carried out more efficiently with remarkable progress.[Conclusion]Starting from the three aspects of strengthening the positive core value of"respecting teachers and medicine",perfecting the relevant system and correcting the imbalance of the tutor-postgraduate relationship,the School of Basic Medicine of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University focuses on exploring the new mode of building a good tutor-postgraduate relationship,and puts forward feasible suggestions through a series of measures.This mode has significantly improved the tutor-postgraduate relationship.It not only plays a positive role in improving postgraduates'professional level and communication-scientific research-innovation ability,but also provides a guarantee for tutors to complete teaching and scientific research work successfully,which is worthy of further improvement and promotion.

Colleges and universities are not only an important base for cultivating young talents, but also the forefront of ideological education. Strengthening ideological education in colleges and universities is related to the long-term peace and stability of the party and the country. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a great creation of the Chinese nation and a treasure of ancient Chinese science. In the face of COVID -19, the TCM delivered in a satisfactory answer, which once again blessed the life and health of the people. TCM culture condenses the experience and wisdom of the Chinese nation for nearly one thousand years, and has unique national characteristics and spiritual pursuit. It is a great creation of Chinese culture. In the context of the new era, integrating TCM culture into ideological education in colleges and universities and giving full play to the function of TCM culture as the "key" of Chinese civilization is not only the urgent call of moral education in colleges and universities, but also the realistic development requirement of contemporary China.

The construction of the scientific and technological ethics management system is crucial to ensure the healthy development of scientific research, and is also the premise and foundation for the scientific and technological innovation and "double first-class" construction of colleges and universities. This paper through the investigation of college life science and medical research ethics committees’ relevant situation, concentrated on the comparative analysis of the construction of ethics training system to identify problems and shortcomings, combined with the work example of Peking University and the current development trend of life science and medical research, some suggestions, including take advantage of the combination of medical services, teaching and research at universities, were put forward to provide possible reference for further updating of the science and technology ethics management in colleges and universities.

Objective:To analyze the implementation effects of a medical laboratory talent training program based on local colleges and universities' applied talent-oriented cultivation principal as well as students' interests and industry needs.Methods:Based on the design principals of clarifying the professional orientation, meeting the national standard, reconstructing the curriculum system, introducing the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship, and multi-dimensional collaborative education, as well as the reverse design path of the outcome-based education concept, we have built a medical laboratory applied talent training system focusing on humanity education, solid foundation, broad employment, and good competency and in accordance with the "three complete education" strategy, along with measures including creating an applied teaching atmosphere, developing an applied curriculum teaching model, providing vocational guidance and improving vocational identity, and promoting education via evaluation. The system was applied to the training and practice of students of grades 2021 and 2022 majoring in medical laboratory technology. SPSS20.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Results:With the concept of application-oriented talent training and the "four-in-one" practical teaching model, students' skills were improved, and the training path was broadened. Compared with those trained with the original program (grades 2019-2020), the graduates trained with the new program (grades 2021-2022) showed a significantly decreased employment rate in medical laboratory jobs in medical institutions from 71.25% to 42.86% ( χ2=12.36, P<0.001), a significantly increased employment rate in in-vitro diagnostics industry from 3.75% to 17.14% ( χ2=7.44, P<0.05), and a significantly increased rate of applying for postgraduate education from 17.05% to 32.86% ( χ2=4.74, P<0.05). Conclusions:The medical laboratory talent training program based on the talent training principal of local colleges and universities combined with students' interests and industry needs can help improve the quality of talent training and broaden the employment path of graduates.

Purpose/Significance To provide high-quality health information services,to promote the coordinated development of medical and educational services,and to help build a healthy China service system.Method/Process By using the methods of network investigation,literature investigation and telephone interview,the paper investigates the current situation of teaching support services of 30 libraries of medical universities and colleges in China,and analyzes the existing problems from four aspects:teaching resource serv-ices,information literacy services,disciplinary services and service guarantee.Result/Conclusion Libraries of medical universities and colleges should establish and improve the teaching support service system,strengthen discipline teaching support services,provide accu-rate health information services,strengthen regional or departmental collaboration,and innovate intelligent service modes,so as to be-come an important driving force for healthy China initiative.

Introducción: Los actores del ámbito educativo deben gestionar procesos adecuados y coherentes con la movilidad social que acontece en la sociedad. Objetivo: Exponer los resultados del diagnóstico del estado inicial de la gestión didáctica de los docentes de la asignatura Ginecología y Obstetricia en situaciones de contingencia. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio cualitativo en el Hospital Universitario Ginecobstétrico Provincial Ana Betancourt de Mora durante el año 2022. Se tuvieron en cuenta las siguientes dimensiones: cognitiva, instrumental y actitudinal con sus respectivos indicadores e índices a medir en el diagnóstico de necesidades. El diagnóstico efectuado se aplicó a 17 docentes de dicha asignatura que laboran en la mencionada institución. Resultados: La dimensión cognitiva fue evaluada de regular, aunque la mayoría de los docentes conocían lo relativo al programa vigente de la asignatura Ginecología y Obstetricia, la mayor cantidad de ellos desconocían los reajustes realizados en situaciones de contingencia. La dimensión instrumental fue evaluada de mal porque los dos indicadores que la componen fueron evaluados de igual modo; mientras que la dimensión actitudinal fue evaluada de regular. Conclusiones: La determinación de la situación inicial de la gestión didáctica de los docentes de la asignatura Ginecología y Obstetricia en situaciones de contingencia, confirmó la presencia de insuficiencias en la gestión didáctica de dicha asignatura en las condiciones señaladas. Ello refleja la necesidad de instrumentar vías para su perfeccionamiento.


Introduction: The actors in the educational field must manage adequate and coherent processes with the social mobility that occurs in society. Objective: To present the results of the diagnosis of the initial state of the didactic management of the teachers of the subject Gynecology and Obstetrics in contingency situations. Methods: A qualitative study was carried out at the Ana Betancourt de Mora Provincial Gynecobstetric University Hospital during the year 2022. The following dimensions were taken into account: cognitive, instrumental and attitudinal with their respective indicators and indices to be measured in the diagnosis of needs. The diagnosis made was applied to 17 teachers of the said subject who work in the aforementioned institution. Results: The cognitive dimension was evaluated as regular, although most of the teachers knew about the current program of the Gynecology and Obstetrics subject, most of them were unaware of the readjustments made in contingency situations. The instrumental dimension was evaluated poorly because the two indicators that comprise it were evaluated in the same way; while the attitudinal dimension was evaluated as regular. Conclusions: The determination of the initial situation of the didactic management of the teachers of the Gynecology and Obstetrics subject in contingency situations, confirmed the presence of insufficiencies in the didactic management of said subject under the indicated conditions. This reflects the need to implement ways for its improvement.

RESUMO: Objetivo: compreender a influência da prática assistencial em enfermagem no trabalho docente. Método: pesquisa qualitativa descritiva e exploratória, com 12 docentes concursados, atuantes nos cursos de graduação e técnico em enfermagem em uma instituição pública de ensino, na região sul do Brasil. Os dados foram coletados de junho a dezembro de 2022 por meio da técnica de grupo focal e entrevistas individuais. Para tratamento dos dados, empregou-se a Análise de Conteúdo Temática de Bardin com o auxílio do software Atlas.ti. Resultados: emergiram duas categorias: experiência profissional na assistência e cuidar como parte do ensino. Considerações finais: o estudo destaca a relevância da prática assistencial na formação docente em enfermagem e alerta sobre os riscos de transferir o cuidado assistencial para a sala de aula, visando preservar o processo de trabalho do docente e a formação de profissionais na área.


ABSTRACT Objective: To understand the impact of nursing care practices on the efficacy of teaching work. Method: A qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory study with 12 professors working in undergraduate and technical nursing courses at a public teaching institution in southern Brazil. Data was collected from June to December 2022 using the focus group technique and individual interviews. Bardin's Thematic Content Analysis was used to process the data using Atlas.ti software. Results: Two categories emerged: professional experience in care and care as part of teaching. Final considerations: The study highlights the relevance of care practice in nursing teacher training and warns of the risks of transferring care to the classroom to preserve the teacher's work process and the training of professionals in the area.


RESUMEN Objetivo: comprender la influencia de la práctica asistencial de enfermería en la labor docente. Método: estudio cualitativo, descriptivo y exploratorio con 12 profesores que trabajan en carreras de enfermería de graduación y tecnicaturas en una institución pública de enseñanza en la región sur de Brasil. Los datos se recopilaron de junio a diciembre de 2022 mediante la técnica de grupos de discusión y entrevistas individuales. Se utilizó el Análisis Temático de Contenido de Bardin para procesar los datos, utilizando el software Atlas.ti. Resultados: surgieron dos categorías: la experiencia profesional en la asistencia y el cuidado como parte de la enseñanza. Consideraciones finales: el estudio destaca la relevancia de la práctica asistencial en la formación docente de enfermería y advierte de los riesgos de trasladar los cuidados asistenciales al aula, con el fin de preservar el proceso de trabajo docente y la formación de los profesionales del área.

Abstract This study aimed to identify sociodemographic and behavioral factors associated with the psychological well-being of university students at two distinct moments during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is an observational study with a cross-sectional design and convenience sampling, involving 2,808 university students who responded to a virtual form. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (Pearson's chi-square test, multiple binomial logistic regression with a significance level of 5%), after conducting normality tests. The results suggest negative impacts of the pandemic on the mental health of university students. A history of previous psychiatric alterations, having children, and having experienced financial difficulties were among the factors that contributed to the maintenance of some dimensions of psychological well-being.


Resumo Este estudo procurou identificar fatores sociodemográficos e comportamentais associados ao bem-estar psicológico de universitários em dois momentos distintos, durante o primeiro ano da pandemia de COVID-19. Trata-se de um estudo observacional, com desenho transversal e amostragem por conveniência, com 2.808 estudantes universitários que responderam a um formulário virtual. Os dados foram analisados por meio de estatísticas descritivas e inferenciais (teste Qui-Quadrado de Pearson, regressão logística binomial múltipla com nível de significância de 5%), após realização de testes de normalidade. Os resultados sugerem impactos negativos da pandemia na saúde mental dos universitários. Histórico de alterações psiquiátricas prévias, ter filhos e ter passado por dificuldades financeiras foram alguns dos fatores que contribuíram para a manutenção de algumas dimensões do bem-estar psicológico.

Resumo Objetivo Avaliar a aplicabilidade e a efetividade de um jogo com elementos de Roleplaying Game (RPG) enquanto ferramenta didático pedagógica para o ensino em saúde. Método A população deste estudo foi de discentes de cursos de graduação e pós-graduação, da área da saúde, da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa. O estudo foi realizado entre os meses de abril a junho de 2018, em duas etapas. Primeiramente foi realizado o RPG com as turmas envolvidas, e após uma semana, entrevistas de GF para a obtenção de informações, contando com voluntários dessas turmas que aceitaram participar da pesquisa. A análise das informações foi baseada em aspectos da Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados (TFD). Resultados Da análise emergiram as categorias:1) Criação do jogo, 2) Impacto da experiência no ensino aprendizagem, 3) Reflexão acerca do jogo. Os resultados demonstram que o uso do jogo com elementos de RPG tem um enorme potencial a ser explorado no processo de ensino-aprendizagem na área da saúde. Trata-se de um método inovador e ainda pouco utilizado na área da saúde. É importante seguir algumas premissas para que a ferramenta seja utilizada de forma potente. Conclusão Nessa direção entende-se que o jogo auxilia na formação em saúde, enriquecendo conhecimentos e habilidades através de uma experiência desafiadora e conectada com a realidade.


Abstract Objective To assess the applicability and effectiveness of a game incorporating Roleplaying Game (RPG) elements as a pedagogical tool for health education. Method The study population comprised undergraduate and postgraduate students in the health field at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. This qualitative research was conducted between April and June 2018 in two stages. Initially, the RPG was implemented with the involved classes, followed by Focus Group interviews conducted a week later to gather information, with volunteers from these classes who willingly participated in the research. Information analysis was grounded in aspects of Grounded Theory (GT). Results The analysis yielded the following categories: 1) Game creation, 2) Impact of the experience on teaching and learning, 3) Reflection on the game. The results demonstrate that the use of RPG-influenced games holds significant untapped potential in the health education process. This innovative method remains underutilized within the health domain, necessitating adherence to specific premises for its potent application. Conclusion In this context, it is understood that the game contributes to health education, enhancing knowledge and skills through a challenging and reality-connected experience.
