Abstract: El liderazgo docente resulta ser una variable importante debido al papel que juega en la mejora de la calidad del profesorado y su relación positiva con los resultados escolares; sin embargo, en las realidades institucionales persisten situaciones que obstaculizan o desalientan al magisterio a asumir estos roles. El objetivo de la presente investigación fue el de describir cuáles son los factores que facilitan o inhiben el desarrollo del liderazgo docente en una escuela primaria de Mérida, Yucatán, México. Se siguió un estudio de caso con métodos mixtos. Para el análisis cualitativo, se trabajó con los datos recabados mediante las técnicas de observación participante y la entrevista semi-estructurada. Para el análisis de datos cuantitativos se utilizó la técnica de la administración de encuestas online, y se llevaron a cabo inferenciales no paramétricos: Ji cuadrada y prueba U de Mann Whitney. Se encontró que tener un liderazgo docente alto está relacionado positivamente con tener iniciativa para emprender proyectos innovadores escolares; a diferencia, el nivel bajo de liderazgo se asoció con la incomodidad con roles de liderazgo. Se detectaron diferencias en los resultados de las técnicas cualitativas y las cuantitativas. En el estudio cualitativo se obtuvo que ser docente de apoyo, la figura del director, el individualismo, la disponibilidad de tiempo, la carga administrativa, los grupos numerosos, entre otros, fueron categorías que pueden influir en el hecho de actuar o no con liderazgo. Es indispensable conocer todas las situaciones por la que atraviesan los profesores para poder tomar las decisiones de manera informada, así como encontrar las raíces reales de los problemas que están estrechamente relacionadas con las decisiones sobre po lítica pública.


Abstract: Teacher leadership is an important variable due to the role it plays in improving teacher quality and its positive relationship with school results. However, contextual situations exist within institutions that hinder or discourage teachers from assuming these roles. The objective of this research was to describe the characteristics and factors that foster or inhibit the development of teacher leadership in a primary school in Mérida, Yucatán. A case study with mixed methods was followed. For the qualitative phase data were collected employing participant observation and semi-structured interviews. For the quantitative phase of the study online surveys were administered and the following non-parametric inferential tests were carried out: chisquare and Mann-Whitney U test; Findings suggest that high levels of leadership are positively correlated to having the initiative to undertake innovative school projects. In contrast, low levels of leadership were associated to discomfort with leadership roles. Significant differences were identified in the results of the qualitative and quantitative phase. The qualitative phase revealed that being a support teacher, the principal's role, individualism, the availability of time, the administrative burden, large groups, among others, were categories that can influence teacher's intentions to act or not with leadership. It is essential to know the situations that all teachers go through in order to make decisions in an informed manner, as well as to find the real roots of the problems that are closely related to decisions on public policy.

Evidence-based practice (EBP) refers to decision-making in the development and delivery of health care services according to the best available research evidence, the experience of health care providers, and the values and preferences of patients. The adoption or implementation of EBP by organizations can lead to safer practices, better outcomes for individuals, and lower healthcare costs2. In the literature, "champions" have been identified as determinants and agents of change to ensure adoption within institutions.

Compreender o papel do enfermeiro educador no desenvolvimento da liderança. Método: Trata-se de um relato de experiência, realizado com cinco grupos de enfermeiros com a temática de acordo com as suas especializações: pediatria, gestão, cuidados paliativos, centro cirúrgico e geriatria no Hospital Cruz Azul de São Paulo, no período de 2021 até 2023. Resultados: Notou-se progresso nos pontos elencados a partir do plano estratégico anteriormente desenvolvido nos setores de gestão, cuidados paliativos e clínica cirúrgica. Na perspectiva de autonomia e participação, o enfermeiro docente é peça chave na promoção de mudanças no ensino, como também, deve ser responsável pela criação de medidas para fomentar o pensamento crítico e criativo de sua equipe. Conclusão: A inserção de práticas pedagógicas bem como a aproximação dos indivíduos em desenvolvimento de liderança à equipe multidisciplinar são estratégias metodológicas exitosas na formação de enfermeiros-líderes.(AU)


To understand the role of nurse educator in the development of leadership. Method: This is an experience report, conducted with five groups of nurses with the theme according to their specializations: pediatrics, management, palliative care, surgical center and geriatrics at the Cruz Azul Hospital of São Paulo, from 2021 to 2023. Results: Progress was noted in the points listed from the strategic plan previously developed in the management, palliative care and surgical sectors. From the perspective of autonomy and participation, the teaching nurse is a key player in promoting changes in teaching, as well as being responsible for creating measures to foster critical and creative thinking of his team. Conclusion: The insertion of pedagogical practices as well as the approach of individuals in leadership development to the multidisciplinar team are successful methodological strategies in training nurses-leaders.(AU)


Comprender el papel del enfermero educador en el desarrollo del liderazgo. Método: Se trata de un relato de experiencia, realizado con cinco grupos de enfermeros con la temática de acuerdo con sus especializaciones: pediatría, gestión, cuidados paliativos, centro quirúrgico y geriatría en el Hospital Cruz Azul de São Paulo, en el período de 2021 hasta 2023. Resultados: Se notó progreso en los puntos enumerados a partir del plan estratégico anteriormente desarrollado en los sectores de gestión, cuidados paliativos y clínica quirúrgica. En la perspectiva de autonomía y participación, el enfermero docente es pieza clave en la promoción de cambios en la enseñanza, como también, debe ser responsable por la creación de medidas para fomentar el pensamiento crítico y creativo de su equipo. Objective:To explore the relationship between platform leadership, perceived overqualification, job crafting and career calling of clinical nurses, and provide references for formulating occupational calling strategies for clinical nurses.Methods:A total of 488 clinical nurses from Qingdao Hiser Hospital Affiliated of Qingdao University(Qingdao Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital), Shandong University Qilu Hospital, and Qingdao Municipal Hospital were selected as the study subjects by the convenience sampling method from April to May 2023. A general data questionnaire, Platform Leadership Scale, Perceived Overqualification Scale, Job Crafting Scale, and Career Calling Scale were used to conduct a cross-sectional investigation on the research objects, and the relationship and mediating effect between platform leadership, perceived overqualification, job crafting, and career calling were analyzed.Results:Among the 488 clinical nurses, 79 were males and 409 were females, aged 23-51 (30.37 ± 6.40) years old. The scores of platform leadership, perceived overqualification, job crafting and career calling of clinical nurses were (86.12 ± 9.99), (21.79 ± 7.29), (70.61 ± 14.54) and (38.70 ± 7.54) points, respectively. The total effect of platform leadership on work engagement was 0.316. The mediating path of platform leadership to career calling included platform leadership→perceived overqualification→career calling; platform leadership→job crafting→career calling; platform leadership→perceived overqualification→job crafting→career calling. Three mediating effects accounted for 17.99%, 9.50% and 4.56% of the total effect, respectively.Conclusions:There is a chain-mediating effect of perceived overqualification and work remodeling on the relationship between platform leadership and the career calling of clinical nurses. Nursing managers should implement platform leadership to alleviate clinical nurses ′ perceived overqualification, improve job crafting, and then improve the level of clinical nurses ′ career calling.

Objective To investigate the leadership status and training requirements of administrators in children's hos-pitals in China to develop a leadership training program based on the CIPP model and the specific requirements of children's hos-pitals and strengthen the leadership and management skills of children's hospital administrators.Methods This paper conducted a questionnaire survey among the administrators of children's hospitals in China to investigate the current status and needs of lead-ership training.It constructed a leadership training system and an effect evaluation model for the administrators based on four di-mensions:background,input,process,and result.Results Among the 160 administrators surveyed,85%of the respondents had received for more than a week of management training.But half of them believed that the current amount of management training was inadequate and there was an urgent need for professional or management training.Training contents needed primarily focused on hospital management,humanistic knowledge and literacy,and health management.The trainees were satisfied with the entire training system,including the courses,instructors and the organization.However,they also suggested increasing the fre-quency of offline training and facilitating interactive course discussions.Conclusion This paper systematically analyzes the cur-rent situation and training needs of leadership of administrators in children's hospitals.By doing this,it can accurately identify the need for developing leadership training programs and align the training program with the objective requirements,thereby providing a scientific basis for enhancing the quality of leadership training for hospital administrators nationwide.

Objective:To construct a leadership evaluation indicator system for managers in primary healthcare institutions.Methods:This study was a qualitative research. Based on the Chinese Academy of Sciences′ Five Forces Model of Leadership, the framework of the leadership evaluation indicator system for primary healthcare institution managers was initially constructed through literature review, expert interviews, surveys, and group discussions. From November 2020 to June 2021, 19 experts were invited to participate in two rounds of Delphi expert consultations. Based on the consultation results, the leadership evaluation indicator system for primary healthcare institution managers was developed, and the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used to determine the weight of each indicator.Results:Nineteen consulting experts were included in the study, 13 of whom were aged 40 years or older, and seven of whom had 20 years or more of professional experience. The response rates of the two rounds of Delphi expert consultation questionnaires were 18/19 and 19/19, respectively; the authority coefficients of the experts were 0.92 and 0.91, respectively. In the second round of consultation, the coordination coefficients of each level of indicators were 0.640, 0.557, and 0.512 ( P<0.05), respectively. The constructed leadership indicator system for managers of primary healthcare institutions included five primary indicators, 16 secondary indicators, and 44 tertiary indicators. The primary indicators, in order of their weight, were "influence"(0.299),"decisiveness"(0.245),"control"(0.156),"inspiration"(0.150), and "foresight"(0.150). Conclusions:This study is a preliminary construction of a leadership evaluation indicator system for managers of primary healthcare institutions, which can be a reference for the training and evaluation of relevant talents.

Objective:To evaluate the reliability and validity of a questionnaire assessing the leadership qualities of primary healthcare institution managers, and to further clarify the current state of leadership development among management teams of community health service centers in Shanghai.Methods:The study was a cross-sectional survey. It was conducted from August to December 2021, and used a stratified sampling method. Using a self-developed questionnaire for primary healthcare institution managers, we surveyed 279 individuals from 10 community health service centers in Shanghai, including management teams, middle-level cadres, general practitioners, and staff from health administrative departments in their respective districts. Leadership qualities were evaluated on five dimensions: inspiration, decisiveness, control, influence, and foresight. Cronbach′s α coefficient and split half coefficient were used to analyze the reliability of the questionnaire, and confirmatory factor analysis was used to assess the structural validity of the scale.Results:The overall Cronbach′s α reliability of the questionnaire for the comprehensive management of community health service centers was 0.96, and the Spearman-Brown split-half coefficient was 0.94. The validity analysis yielded a KMO value of 0.975, the RMSEA for factor analysis was 0.085, and the adaptation indexes all met the model adaptation conditions. Of the 279 participants, 174 were female (62.4%), 257 held a mid-level or higher professional title (92.1%). The overall leadership score of the community health service center management teams was (4.43±0.59), with the dimensions ranked from highest to lowest as follows: inspiration (4.52±0.55), decisiveness (4.46±0.62), control (4.44±0.60), influence (4.42±0.63), and foresight (4.32±0.69). The foresight score was significantly lower than the other four dimensions (all P<0.05). Conclusions:The questionnaire used to assess the leadership qualities of primary healthcare institution managers is reliable and valid. The development of leadership qualities among management teams of community health service centers in Shanghai is unbalanced, with foresight being the weakest dimension.

Objective:To investigate the current status of research on the construction of leadership indicator system in the medical field at home and abroad, and to analyze the characteristics of the indicator system therein.Methods:This was a bibliometric study. The group applied subject keywords to search relevant literature on the construction of leadership indicator system in the medical field at home and abroad on English websites PubMed, Web of Science, Google Scholar, CINAHL, Scopus and Chinese websites Baidu Academic, CNKI, CQVIP, Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, with a time frame of 2016-2023. The basic characteristics of the literature, the theoretical framework of the research application and the research theme were extracted, and the content of the indicator system in the literature was reviewed and summarized.Results:A total of 21 literatures were included, including 7 Chinese literatures and 14 English literatures. Of these literatures, 10 focused on physician leadership, 5 on medical manager leadership, and 2 on general practitioner leadership. Among 16 research literatures, 9 informed the theoretical basis of leadership, and 4 literatures were applied research. Five main themes were identified: leadership studies of individual healthcare administrators, leadership development in healthcare, interest and attitudes of healthcare workers towards leadership learning, applications of leadership in healthcare, and the impact of leadership in healthcare on patients and healthcare organizations.Conclusions:At present, research on the construction of the leadership indicator system in the medical field presents is diverse, with differences in theoretical basis and content. The original and empirical research is still insufficient.

@#<strong>BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE</strong><p>Global health highlights the transnational determinants, issues, and possible solutions for improving health outcomes. Addressing global health issues requires population-based approaches coupled with individualized healthcare across settings, including strategies for achieving health equity. Designing and implementing global health solutions requires competent nurse leaders who can facilitate multi-disciplinary collaborations, engage in policy development, and lead advocacies that support the global health agenda. Thus, this paper examined the stakeholder perspectives that informed the development of a leadership program on global health for nurse leaders in the Western Pacific Region (WPR).</p><strong>METHODS</strong><p>The study used a descriptive qualitative approach to generate key recommendations for a context-appropriate, multi-country capacity-building program for nurse leaders on global health. The Analysis Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model and reflexive approach were employed to guide the development of the training design. Twenty-five nurse leaders from World Health Organization Collaborating Centers (WHO-CC) in the Western Pacific participated. Qualitative data were collected from participant feedback and post-activity sessions throughout program implementation.</p><strong>RESULTS</strong><p>Thematic analysis of stakeholder data revealed that the program (1) capitalized on equipping nurse leaders with the concepts related to global health and developing competencies in leadership, policy engagement, and advocacy; (2) ensured learning strategies by having participants from varied contexts and experiences; and (3) reflected on the strengths and limitations of the use of the online platform.</p><strong>CONCLUSION</strong><p>This paper contributed to the growing literature on global health and programs that support addressing global health issues. The findings underscored the urgent need to capacitate nurses in leadership positions who contribute to addressing emerging issues in global health. The paper recommended improvements in the design and implementation of the Global Health Nursing Leadership Program to engage more nurse leaders across the region and enhance content and delivery.</p>

In light of the implementation of a quota system for electing the Society's Board of Directors, the Diversity Promotion Committee organized a workshop to explore women's leadership, followership, and sponsorship.This initiative identified unique characteristics associated with these roles for women and identified ways to support them in expressing these qualities effectively.The workshop also served as a peer meeting, and both needs and satisfaction levels were high. We aim to extend this workshop to other fields in the future.

Objective:Analyze the impact of organizational factors on multidisciplinary teamwork behavior in tertiary public hospitals in Hangzhou,as well as the role mechanism of team atmosphere and team leadership.Provide suggestions for fully mobilizing their teamwork enthusiasm and improving teamwork efficiency.Methods:From January 2022 to March 2022,a questionnaire survey was conducted on multidisciplinary team members in tertiary public hospitals in Hangzhou using purposive sampling,and a total of 452 valid questionnaires were collected;Use the Process plugin in SPSS 26.0 software to test the moderated mediation model.Results:Positive organizational factors have a positive promoting impact on multidisciplinary teamwork behavior(β = 0.128,P<0.001),team atmosphere plays a mediating role between organizational factors and multidisciplinary teamwork behavior(β =0.063,P<0.001),and team leadership plays a negative moderating role between organizational factors and team atmosphere(β =-0.011,P<0.001).Conclusions:The behavior of multidisciplinary teamwork is influenced by multiple factors such as organizational factors,team atmosphere,and team leadership.Therefore,the hospital should actively explore a long-term operation mechanism for multidisciplinary teamwork that conforms to the characteristics of the hospital,improve top-level design,strengthen organizational investment,create a harmonious cooperation atmosphere within the team,enhance team cohesion,use shared leadership for team decision-making,and grant team members sufficient autonomy and decision-making power.

Resumo Objetivo Construir e validar um instrumento para autoavaliação de soft skills em liderança autêntica de enfermagem. Métodos Pesquisa metodológica desenvolvida em três etapas: revisão de literatura, elaboração do instrumento intitulado "LEADERSKILLS" e validação de conteúdo do instrumento com experts, usando a Técnica Delphi Online. A primeira etapa foi composta por duas revisões narrativas. A segunda etapa incluiu um teste piloto ao desenvolvimento do instrumento contendo a descrição narrativa das soft skills mais relevantes (relacionadas ao exercício da liderança autêntica do enfermeiro) que foram apresentadas pela revisão narrativa da literatura. A terceira e última etapa incluiu a alteração do instrumento após as considerações realizadas pelos experts. Resultados O painel de experts da primeira rodada foi composto por 13 participantes. Das 17 questões de múltipla escolha avaliadas na primeira rodada, só duas (pertencentes aos componentes conteúdo e linguagem) não obtiveram Índice de Validade de Conteúdo (IVC) ≥0,85. A primeira questão era sobre a compreensão inadequada do que seriam os títulos e subtítulos do "LEADERSKILLS" e a segunda era sobre clareza e objetividade do instrumento. As principais sugestões dos juízes estavam concentradas nos componentes conteúdo, linguagem e layout. A segunda rodada foi composta pela resposta de cinco experts, sendo possível alcançar o consenso das questões obtendo IVC ≥0,80. Conclusão O instrumento construído para desenvolver soft skills em enfermagem foi considerado válido quanto ao conteúdo, layout, linguagem, motivação e cultura, alcançando avaliação coerente e aplicabilidade ao público-alvo.


Resumen Objetivo Elaborar y validar un instrumento para la autoevaluación de soft skills en liderazgo auténtico de enfermería. Métodos Investigación metodológica llevada a cabo en tres etapas: revisión de la literatura, elaboración del instrumento llamado "LEADERSKILLS" y validación del contenido del instrumento con expertos mediante el método Delphi vía internet. La primera etapa estuvo compuesta por dos revisiones narrativas. La segunda etapa incluyó una prueba piloto del desarrollo del instrumento, que contenía la descripción narrativa de las soft skills más relevantes (relacionadas con el ejercicio del liderazgo auténtico del enfermero) y que fueron introducidas por la revisión narrativa de la literatura. La tercera y última etapa incluyó la modificación del instrumento después de las reflexiones realizadas por los expertos. Resultados El panel de expertos de la primera ronda estuvo compuesto por 13 participantes. De las 17 preguntas de selección múltiple evaluadas en la primera ronda, solo dos (pertenecientes a los componentes contenido y lenguaje) no obtuvieron Índice de Validez de Contenido (IVC) ≥0,85. La primera pregunta era sobre la comprensión inadecuada de lo que serían los títulos y subtítulos del "LEADERSKILLS" y la segunda era sobre la clareza y objetividad del instrumento. Las principales sugerencias de los jueces estaban centradas en los componentes contenido, lenguaje y diseño. La segunda ronda estuvo compuesta por la respuesta de cinco expertos y fue posible llegar al consenso de las preguntas con un IVC de ≥0,80. Conclusión El instrumento elaborado para desarrollar soft skills en enfermería fue considerado válido respecto al contenido, diseño, lenguaje, motivación y cultura, y logró una evaluación coherente y aplicabilidad en el público destinatario.


Abstract Objective To build and validate an instrument for self-assessment of soft skills in authentic nursing leadership. Methods This methodological research was developed in three stages: literature review, development of the instrument entitled "LEADERSKILLS", and validation of the instrument's content by experts using the Delphi Online Technique. The first stage consisted of two narrative reviews. The second stage included a pilot test for the development of the instrument containing a narrative description of the most relevant soft skills (related to the exercise of authentic leadership by nurses) that were presented by the narrative literature review. The third and final stage included changes to the instrument after considerations made by the experts. Results In the first round, the panel of experts was composed of 13 participants. Of the 17 multiple-choice questions evaluated in the first round, only two (belonging to the content and language components) did not obtain the Content Validity Index (CVI) ≥0.85. The first question was about the inadequate understanding of what the titles and subtitles of "LEADERSKILLS" were, and the second was about the instrument's clarity and objectivity. The judges' main suggestions were concentrated on the content, language, and layout components. The second round consisted of responses from five experts, and reaching a consensus on the questions was possible by obtaining CVI≥0.80. Conclusion The instrument constructed to develop soft skills in nursing was considered valid in terms of content, layout, language, motivation, and culture, achieving coherent assessment and applicability to the target audience.

Objective: to analyze the effects of a Mindfulness-based intervention on nurse leaders' emotional intelligence and resilience. Method: a pilot study of a randomized crossover clinical trial. The sample (n=32) was randomized into Group A (n=18) and Group B (n=14) and evaluated at the pre-test, post-test and follow-up moments. The outcomes were assessed using the Emotional Intelligence Measure, the Connor-Davidson Resilience Questionnaire and the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire, and analyzed using Generalized Linear Mixed Models. Results: a total of 32 nurses with a mean age of 42.6 years old were evaluated. The analyses showed significant interactions between the effects of the group x moment factors on the Self-motivation (p=0.005), Sociability (p<0.001), Self-control (p=0.013), and Total (p=0.002) emotional intelligence skill scores; as well as on the Observe (p=0.042), Describe (p=0.008), Non-judgment (p<0.001), Act with awareness (p=0.004) and Total (p<0.001) mindfulness facets. Post-test: there was a statistically significant increase in the Sociability (p=0.009) and Self-control (p=0.015) emotional intelligence skills; as well as in the Non-judgment (p=0.022) and Total (p=0.002) mindfulness facets. Follow-up: a significant increase was observed in the Non-judgment (p=0.024) and Total (p=0.026) mindfulness facets. The "resilience" variable did not present statistical significance in the "group x moment" factor, both in the post-test and during follow-up. Conclusion: the Mindfulness-based intervention used proved to be effective in increasing nurse leaders' emotional intelligence and dispositional mindfulness skills. Objetivo: analizar los efectos de una intervención basada en mindfulness sobre la inteligencia emocional y la resiliencia de enfermeros líderes. Método: estudio piloto de un ensayo clínico aleatorizado cruzado. Muestra (n=32) aleatorizada en el grupo A (n=18) y grupo B (n=14), se los evaluó en el pretest, postest y seguimiento. Los resultados fueron evaluados mediante la Medida de Inteligencia Emocional, el Cuestionario de Resiliencia de Connor-Davidson y el Cuestionario Mindfulness de Cinco Facetas, y analizados por el Generalized Linear Mixed Models . Resultados: fueron evaluadas 32 enfermeras con una edad promedio de 42,6 años. Los análisis mostraron interacciones significativas de los efectos de los factores grupo vs. momento en los puntajes de las habilidades de automotivación (p=0,005), sociabilidad (p<0,001), autocontrol (p=0,013) y total (p=0,002) de inteligencia emocional; de las facetas observar (p=0,042), describir (p=0,008), no juzgar (p<0,001), actuar con conciencia (p=0,004) y total (p<0,001) de mindfulness. Postest: hubo un aumento estadísticamente significativo de las habilidades de sociabilidad (p=0,009) y autocontrol (p=0,015) de inteligencia emocional; de las facetas no juzgar (p=0,022) y total (p=0,002) de mindfulness . Seguimiento: se observó un aumento significativo en las facetas no juzgar (p=0,024) y total (p=0,026) de mindfulness . La variable resiliencia no presentó significación estadística en el factor grupo vs. momento en el postest y seguimiento. Conclusión: la intervención basada en mindfulness utilizada demostró ser eficaz para aumentar la inteligencia emocional y las habilidades de mindfulness disposicional de los enfermeros líderes. Objetivo: analisar os efeitos de uma intervenção baseada em mindfulness na inteligência emocional e resiliência de enfermeiros líderes. Método: estudo-piloto de ensaio clínico randomizado cruzado. Amostra (n=32) randomizada em grupo A (n=18) e grupo B (n=14), avaliados nos momentos pré-teste, pós-teste e seguimento. Os desfechos foram avaliados pela Medida de Inteligência Emocional, pelo Questionário de Resiliência Connor-Davidson e pelo Questionário das Cinco Facetas de Mindfulness , e analisados pelo Generalized Linear Mixed Model . Resultados: foram avaliadas 32 enfermeiras com idade média de 42,6 anos. Objective: to evaluate the patient safety climate in Primary Health Care from the perspective of nurses working in the services. Method: a quantitative and cross-sectional study conducted with 148 nurses from a municipality in the state of São Paulo. The Brazilian version of the Primary Care Safety Questionnaire Survey and personal, professional, and organizational performance variables (intention to stay at work, job satisfaction, care quality, and frequency of incidents) were used. Parametric and non-parametric comparison tests and Spearman's correlation coefficient were performed, considering a 5% significance level. Results: the safety climate was positive, varying from 4.52 to 5.33 and differing across districts for workload (p=0.0214) and leadership (p=0.0129). The safety climate professional variables and dimensions differed in relation to the frequency of incidents. Teamwork and safety and learning system were strongly correlated with job satisfaction and moderately with perceived care quality. Conclusion: teamwork and safety and learning system stood out for their positive correlations with job satisfaction and care quality. A positive safety climate favors the involvement of Primary Care nurses to develop improvement plans aligned with the National Patient Safety Program.


Objetivo: evaluar el clima de seguridad del paciente en la Atención Primaria de la Salud, desde la perspectiva de los enfermeros de los servicios. Método: estudio cuantitativo y transversal, con 148 enfermeros de un municipio del Estado de São Paulo. Se utilizó la versión brasileña del Primary Care Safety Questionnaire Survey y variables personales, profesionales y de desempeño organizacional (intención de permanecer en el empleo, satisfacción laboral, calidad de la atención y frecuencia de incidentes). Se realizaron pruebas de comparación paramétricas y no paramétricas y coeficiente de correlación de Spearman, considerando un nivel de significación del 5%. Resultados: el clima de seguridad fue positivo, osciló entre 4,52 y 5,33; difirió entre distritos en carga de trabajo (p=0,0214) y liderazgo (p=0,0129). Las variables profesionales y dimensiones del clima de seguridad difirieron en la frecuencia de incidentes. El trabajo en equipo, el sistema de seguridad y el aprendizaje tuvieron una correlación alta con la satisfacción laboral y una moderada con la percepción de la calidad de la atención. Conclusión: el trabajo en equipo y el sistema de seguridad y aprendizaje se destacaron por su correlación positiva con la satisfacción laboral y la calidad de la atención. Un clima de seguridad positivo favorece la participación de los enfermeros de la atención primaria en el desarrollo de planes de mejora que sigan las indicaciones del Programa Nacional de Seguridad del Paciente.

Realizaram-se testes de comparação paramétricos, não paramétricos e coeficiente de correlação de Resultados: o clima de segurança foi positivo, com variação de 4,52 a 5,33; diferiu entre distritos para carga de trabalho (p=0,0214) e liderança (p=0,0129). As variáveis profissionais e dimensões do clima de segurança diferiram em relação à frequência de incidentes. Trabalho em equipe, sistema de segurança e aprendizagem foram fortemente correlacionados à satisfação no trabalho e moderadamente com percepção da qualidade do cuidado. Conclusão: trabalho em equipe e sistema de segurança e aprendizagem se destacaram pela correlação positiva com satisfação no trabalho e qualidade do cuidado. O clima de segurança positivo favorece o envolvimento dos enfermeiros da atenção primária para desenvolver planos de melhorias alinhados ao Programa Nacional de Segurança do Paciente.

Resumo Objetivo Associar dados demográficos e laborais e o comportamento empoderador do enfermeiro-líder na perspectiva de técnicos e auxiliares de enfermagem. Métodos Pesquisa transversal e correlacional realizada em hospital universitário terciário do estado de São Paulo. Participaram 260 profissionais de enfermagem de nível médio (técnicos e auxiliares de enfermagem), por meio de instrumentos autoaplicáveis no período de maio a agosto de 2021. Para verificar a associação entre as classes da escala e as variáveis explanatórias, foi realizado teste qui-quadrado ou exato de Fisher no programa SAS. As relações foram estatisticamente significativas se p<0,05. Resultados O perfil dos participantes predominou o sexo feminino, média de idade de 41,9 anos, trabalhadores do período diurno, carga horária de 36,7 horas e satisfeitos com o trabalho. A aplicação do instrumento Comportamento Empoderador do Líder evidenciou que o domínio com maior média de comportamento empoderador foi "trabalho significativo" e o com menor média foi "autonomia em relação à burocracia". Os auxiliares e técnicos de enfermagem que trabalhavam no período diurno não possuíam outros vínculos de trabalho e estavam satisfeitos com o mesmo, além de terem observado mais o comportamento empoderador do líder. Conclusão O comportamento do enfermeiro para empoderar sua equipe, na perspectiva de técnicos e auxiliares de enfermagem no hospital estudado, foi bom na maioria dos domínios, exceto no domínio "autonomia em relação à burocracia", em que foi razoável. Trabalhar no turno diurno, não ter outros vínculos e estar satisfeito com o trabalho foram aspectos de maior empoderamento.

Conclusión El comportamiento de los enfermeros para empoderar a su equipo, bajo la perspectiva de técnicos y auxiliares de enfermería en el hospital estudiado, fue bueno en la mayoría de los dominios, excepto en el dominio "autonomía con relación a la burocracia", que fue razonable. Trabajar en el turno diurno, no tener otros vínculos y estar satisfecho con el trabajo fueron aspectos de mayor empoderamiento.


Abstract Objective Associate demographic and work data and the empowering behavior of the nurse-leader from the perspective of nursing technicians and assistants. Methods Cross-sectional and correlational research carried out in a tertiary university hospital in the state of São Paulo. A total of 260 mid-level nursing professionals (nursing technicians and assistants) participated, using self-administered instruments from May to August 2021. To verify the association between the scale classes and the explanatory variables, a chi-square or Fisher's exact test was performed in the SAS program. Relationships were statistically significant if p<0.05. Results The profile of the participants was predominantly female, mean age 41.9 years, daytime workers, workload of 36.7 hours and satisfied with their work. The application of the Leader's Empowering Behavior instrument showed that the domain with the highest average of empowering behavior was "meaningful work" and the one with the lowest average was "autonomy in relation to bureaucracy". Nursing assistants and technicians who worked during the day did not have other work relationships and were satisfied with it, in addition to observing the leader's empowering behavior more. Conclusion Nurses' behavior to empower their team, from the perspective of technicians and nursing assistants in the studied hospital, was good in most domains, except in the domain "autonomy from bureaucracy", where it was reasonable. Working the day shift, not having other jobs and being satisfied with the job were aspects of greater empowerment.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to describe Nurses' perception of the Nursing Process and its relationship with leadership. Methods: action research conducted between September/2021 and April/2022 with nurses from a medium-sized hospital in southern Brazil. The data investigated, one of the stages of the method, was collected using the Focus Group technique and submitted to Strategic Focus Analysis. Results: three categories emerged from the organized and analyzed data, namely: Nursing Process: a tool that qualifies nursing care; Conditions that weaken the Nursing Process; and Strategies that enhance the Systematization of Nursing Care. Final Considerations: the perception of the Nursing Process and its relationship with leadership are not always understood as complementary themes. Although they recognize that the Nursing Process is sometimes imposed as normative, nurses do not perceive the importance of the role of the leader, who is considered a key player in conducting and boosting the Systematization of Nursing Care.


RESUMEN Objetivos: describir la percepción de los Enfermeros sobre el Proceso de Enfermería y su relación con el liderazgo. Métodos: se trata de una investigación-acción realizada entre septiembre de 2021 y abril de 2022 entre enfermeros de un hospital de medio porte del sur de Brasil. Los datos investigados, una de las etapas del método, fueron recolectados mediante la técnica de Grupo Focal y sometidos al Análisis Focal Estratégico. Resultados: los datos organizados y analizados resultaron en tres categorías, a saber: Proceso de Enfermería como herramienta que cualifica los cuidados de enfermería; Condiciones que debilitan el Proceso de Enfermería; y Estrategias que potencian la Sistematización de los Cuidados de Enfermería. Consideraciones Finales: la percepción del Proceso de Enfermería y su relación con el liderazgo no siempre se toma en cuenta como tema complementario. Aunque los Enfermeros reconocen que el Proceso de Enfermería se impone a veces como normativo, no perciben la importancia del papel del líder, considerado como un actor clave para conducir y dinamizar la Sistematización de los Cuidados de Enfermería.


RESUMO Objetivos: descrever a percepção dos Enfermeiros sobre o Processo de Enfermagem e a sua relação com a liderança. Métodos: pesquisa-ação conduzida entre setembro/2021 e abril/2022 com enfermeiros de um hospital de médio porte do sul do Brasil. Os dados investigados, uma das etapas do método, foram coletados por meio da técnica de Grupo Focal e submetidos à Análise Focal Estratégica. Resultados: dos dados organizados e analisados resultaram três categorias, quais sejam: Processo de Enfermagem: ferramenta qualificadora da assistência de enfermagem; Condições que fragilizam o Processo de Enfermagem; e Estratégias que potencializam a Sistematização da Assistência de Enfermagem. Considerações Finais: a percepção de Processo de Enfermagem e a sua relação com a liderança nem sempre são apreendidos como temas complementares. Embora reconheçam que o Processo de Enfermagem é, por vezes, imposto como normativo, os Enfermeiros não percebem a relevância da função do líder, considerado ator-chave na condução e dinamização da Sistematização da Assistência de Enfermagem.

RESUMEN La formación de recursos humanos en salud es una preocupación recurrente. El Campus Virtual de Salud Pública (CVSP) es la plataforma educativa de la Organización Panamericana de Salud (OPS) que busca mejorar la accesibilidad a la educación en salud pública, con énfasis en la formación en liderazgo educativo orientado a planificar, implementar y evaluar políticas y acciones educativas. El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar los resultados de una consulta a personas expertas sobre el curso virtual "Liderazgo para la Gestión Educativa en Organizaciones de Salud", como parte de una estrategia de fortalecimiento de las capacidades de liderazgo para la gestión educativa en las Américas propuesta por el CVPS/OPS. Se realizó un estudio cualitativo de investigación-acción, con una metodología Delphi de dos iteraciones de consultas, una virtual y una presencial, a expertos en gestión educativa en organizaciones de salud. Los resultados muestran la relevancia que adquieren ocho dimensiones de análisis: el perfil de los destinatarios, las competencias, el enfoque y los contenidos, las actividades, la evaluación del y para el aprendizaje, la adaptabilidad, la implementación y el seguimiento durante y poscurso. La participación de actores de diferentes ámbitos geopolíticos en el diseño e implementación de una propuesta educativa regional promueve la transformación del contexto de aplicación y mejora su potencial adopción. Se destaca el lugar estratégico del curso como catalizador en la conformación y la consolidación de una red integrada de organizaciones para fortalecer el liderazgo educativo en las Américas, y la conveniencia de la estrategia metodológica empleada para mejorar la calidad de la formación de recursos humanos en salud.


ABSTRACT The training of human resources for health (HRH) is a recurring concern. The Virtual Campus for Public Health (VCPH) - the educational platform of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) - seeks to improve access to public health education, emphasizing leadership training for teams that plan, implement, and evaluate policies and educational initiatives. The objective of this work is to present the results of a consultation with experts on the virtual course "Leadership for Educational Management in Health Organizations", as part of a PAHO/VCPH strategy to strengthen leadership capacities for educational management in the Americas. A qualitative action-research study was carried out using the Delphi method with two iterations of consultations (one virtual and one in person) with experts in educational management in health organizations. The results show the importance of eight dimensions of analysis: recipient profiles, competencies, approach and contents, activities, evaluation of and for learning, adaptability, implementation, and monitoring during and after the course. The participation of actors from different geopolitical spheres in the design and implementation of a regional educational initiative fosters adaptations in the context of its implementation and improves the likelihood it will be adopted. This course can play a strategic role as a catalyst in the formation and consolidation of an integrated network of organizations that strengthen educational leadership in the Americas. This study also highlights the value of the methodological strategy used to improve the quality of HRH training.


RESUMO A formação de recursos humanos em saúde é uma preocupação recorrente. O Campus Virtual de Saúde Pública (CVSP) é a plataforma educacional da Organização Pan-Americana da Saúde (OPAS), que busca melhorar a acessibilidade à educação em saúde pública, com ênfase na formação de lideranças educacionais voltadas para o planejamento, a implementação e a avaliação de políticas e ações educacionais. O objetivo deste documento é apresentar os resultados de uma consulta com especialistas sobre o curso virtual "Liderazgo para la Gestión Educativa en Organizaciones de Salud" [Liderança para a Gestão Educacional em Organizações de Saúde], como parte de uma estratégia para fortalecer as capacidades de liderança para gestão educacional na Região das Américas proposta pelo CVPS/OPAS. Foi realizado um estudo qualitativo de pesquisa-ação utilizando o método Delphi com duas rodadas de consultas, uma virtual e outra presencial, a especialistas em gestão educacional em organizações de saúde. Os resultados mostram a relevância de oito dimensões de análise: perfil do público-alvo; competências; abordagem e conteúdo; atividades; avaliação de e para as aprendizagens; adaptabilidade; implementação; e acompanhamento durante e após o curso. A participação de atores de diferentes esferas geopolíticas no delineamento e na implementação de uma proposta educacional regional promove a transformação do contexto de aplicação e aumenta seu potencial de adoção. Destaca-se o posicionamento estratégico do curso como catalisador na criação e consolidação de uma rede integrada de organizações para fortalecer a liderança educacional na Região das Américas e a adequação da estratégia metodológica empregada para melhorar a qualidade da formação de recursos humanos em saúde.

ABSTRACT Objective: The objective of this research is to determine how managers evaluate the success of sports organizations. Methods: A system of a total of 119 variables (9 variables of the structure of sports organizations, 7 variables of the management structure of sports organizations, 3 variables of the performance of sports organizations, 45 variables of leadership styles and 55 variables of organizational effectiveness) was applied to a sample of 175 respondents aged 19-66. In the research, we used multiple regression analysis. Results: It was found that there is a statistically significant influence of the management of sports organizations on predicting the success of sports organizations, while organizational effectiveness and leadership styles do not have a significant impact. Conclusion: The success of sports organizations can be predicted based on the characteristics of the management of sports organizations. Resumen Objetivo: El objetivo de esta investigación es determinar cómo los directivos evalúan el éxito de las organizaciones deportivas. Métodos: Sistema de un total de 119 variables (9 variables de estructura de organizaciones deportivas, 7 variables de estructura de gestión de organizaciones deportivas, 3 variables de desempeño de organizaciones deportivas, 45 variables de estilos de liderazgo y 55 variables de eficacia organizacional) se aplicó a una muestra de 175 encuestados de entre 19 y 66 años. Métodos: Um sistema com um total de 119 variáveis (9 variáveis da estrutura das organizações desportivas, 7 variáveis da estrutura de gestão das organizações desportivas, 3 variáveis do desempenho das organizações desportivas, 45 variáveis dos estilos de liderança e 55 variáveis da eficácia organizacional) foi aplicado a uma amostra de 175 entrevistados com idades entre 19 e 66 anos. Na pesquisa, utilizamos a análise de regressão múltipla. Resultados: Verificou-se que existe uma influência estatisticamente significativa da gestão das organizações desportivas na previsão do sucesso das organizações desportivas, enquanto a eficácia organizacional e os estilos de liderança não têm influência significativa. Conclusão: O sucesso das organizações esportivas pode ser previsto com base nas características da gestão das organizações esportivas. ABSTRACT Objectives: to understand nursing students' perception regarding Escape Room use to develop leadership skills. Methods: a qualitative exploratory-descriptive study, with 97 nursing students. Escape Room game sessions were held, totaling ten. Subsequently, a debriefing and analysis was carried out using the Discourse of the Collective Subject method, through the focus group technique. Ethical procedures were respected. Results: students' perceptions about using this methodology to develop leadership skills were positive and significant. The effectiveness of the game in teaching and developing these skills in nursing practice stands out. Final Considerations: the game was an effective active methodology in approaching the proposed content, promoting satisfaction and easy assimilation.


RESUMEN Objetivos: comprender la percepción de estudiantes de enfermería sobre el uso del Escape Room para desarrollar habilidades de liderazgo. Métodos: estudio cualitativo exploratorio-descriptivo, con 97 estudiantes de enfermería. Se realizaron sesiones de juegos de Escape Room, en total diez. Consideraciones Finales: el juego resultó una metodología activa eficaz en el abordaje de los contenidos propuestos, promoviendo satisfacción y fácil asimilación.

Posteriormente, foi realizado um debriefing e análise feita pelo método do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo, por meio da técnica do grupo focal. Os procedimentos éticos foram respeitados. Resultados: as percepções dos discentes sobre o uso dessa metodologia para desenvolver habilidades de liderança foram positivas e significativas. Destacam-se a eficácia do jogo no ensino e o desenvolvimento dessas habilidades na prática da enfermagem. ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the leadership strategies of nurses in university hospitals in response to care management changes during the COVID-19 pandemic, informed by John Kotter's insights. Methods: This multicentric study utilized qualitative and analytical methods. It was conducted through semi-structured interviews with 139 lead nurses from 10 university hospitals in Brazil. Data analysis included Bardin's content analysis and the webQDA software. Results: The primary category identified was "Nursing Leadership Strategies in the Battle Against COVID-19," encompassing five subcategories. This category underscored the importance of strategic vision in nursing leadership for combating COVID-19 within hospital settings, as well as the necessity of working collaboratively with their teams and other healthcare professionals. Final Considerations: The results highlight the strategies used by lead nurses in confronting COVID-19, which can be associated with John Kotter's theoretical framework and his model of change.


RESUMEN Objetivo: analizar las estrategias de liderazgo de enfermeros en hospitales universitarios frente a los cambios en la gestión del cuidado en el enfrentamiento de la COVID-19 a la luz de John Kotter. Métodos: investigación multicéntrica, de tipo cualitativa y analítica. Se realizó mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas, con 139 enfermeros líderes, de 10 hospitales universitarios, en Brasil. En el análisis de datos se utilizó el análisis de contenido de Bardin y el software webQDA. Resultados: se obtuvo una categoría principal "Estrategias de liderazgo de enfermería en el enfrentamiento de la COVID-19", y cinco subcategorías. Destacando el liderazgo de los enfermeros por la importancia de la visión estratégica para enfrentar la COVID-19 dentro de las instituciones hospitalarias, así como la necesidad de trabajar conjuntamente con sus equipos y otros profesionales de la salud. Consideraciones Finales: los resultados evidenciaron las estrategias utilizadas por los enfermeros líderes en el enfrentamiento de la COVID-19, siendo posible relacionarlas con el marco teórico de John Kotter y su modelo de cambio.


RESUMO Objetivo: analisar as estratégias de liderança de enfermeiros em hospitais universitários diante das mudanças na gestão do cuidado no enfrentamento da covid-19 à luz de John Kotter. Métodos: pesquisa multicêntrica, do tipo qualitativa e analítica. Ocorreu por meio de entrevistas-semiestruturadas, com 139 enfermeiros-líderes, de 10 hospitais universitários, no Brasil. Na análise de dados utilizou a análise de conteúdo de Bardin e o software webQDA. Resultados: obteve-se uma principal categoria "Estratégias de liderança de enfermeiros no enfrentamento da covid-19", e cinco subcategorias. Destacando a liderança de enfermeiros pela importância da visão estratégica para enfrentar a covid-19 no interior das instituições hospitalares, bem como a necessidade de trabalhar em conjunto com suas equipes e demais profissionais de saúde. Considerações Finais: os resultados evidenciaram as estratégias utilizadas por enfermeiros-líderes no enfrentamento da covid-19, sendo possível de relacionar com o referencial teórico de John Kotter e seu modelo de mudança.
