A Psicologia Escolar e Educacional vem conquistando novos espaços para a atuação e campo de pesquisa, dentre eles, destacamos a educação superior. Assim, este estudo teve por objetivo conhecer as demandas apresentadas por coordenadores de cursos de graduação, analisá-las à luz da Psicologia Escolar na vertente crítica e apontar possibilidades de atuação do psicólogo escolar junto a estes. A pesquisa, de caráter qualitativo, foi realizada a partir da análise de conteúdo das respostas obtidas dos questionários enviados por e-mail aos coordenadores dos 77 cursos de graduação oferecidos por uma instituição pública de ensino superior de Minas Gerais. Contamos com 28 questionários respondidos. As demandas apresentadas referem-se a questões acadêmicas e emocionais dos estudantes; sobrecarga de trabalho docente; relações interpessoais e formação continuada; burocracias enfrentadas pelos coordenadores; além da falta de preparação prévia e apoio para o exercício da função e concepções sobre o trabalho do psicólogo escolar. Concluímos que o coordenador, ao ouvir e compreender demandas advindas de discentes, docentes e técnicos, responde a elas por meio de uma parceria auspiciosa com o psicólogo escolar, juntamente com outros segmentos e instâncias da instituição.(AU)


The School and Educational Psychology has been conquering new spaces for professional performance and research field, among them, we highlight Higher Education. Therefore, this study aimed to get the demands presented by coordinators of undergraduate courses and analyze them in the light of School Psychology in the critical perspective and to point out possibilities for the performance of the school psychologist with them. The qualitative research was carried out based on the content analysis of the answers obtained from the questionnaires sent by e-mail to the coordinators of the 77 undergraduate courses offered by a public Higher Education institution in Minas Gerais. We have 28 answered questionnaires. The demands presented refer to students' academic and emotional issues; the overload of teaching work; interpersonal relationships and continuing education; the bureaucracies faced by coordinators; and the lack of prior preparation and support for the practice of the function and conceptions about the work of the school psychologist. We conclude that the coordinator, when listening to and understanding demands from students, teachers, and technicians, seeks to respond to them with an auspicious partnership with the school psychologist, together with other segments and instances of the institution.(AU)


La Psicología Escolar y Educacional sigue conquistando nuevos espacios para la actuación y campo de investigación, entre ellos destaca la educación superior. Por lo tanto, este estudio tuvo como objetivo conocer las demandas presentadas por los coordinadores de cursos de graduación, analizarlas desde la perspectiva crítica de la Psicología Escolar y señalar posibilidades de actuación del psicólogo escolar. La investigación cualitativa realizó el análisis de contenido de las respuestas obtenidas de los cuestionarios enviados por correo electrónico a los coordinadores de los 77 cursos ofrecidos por una institución pública de educación superior en Minas Gerais (Brasil). Se respondieron 28 cuestionarios. Las demandas presentadas se refieren a cuestiones académicas y emocionales de los estudiantes; a la sobrecarga del trabajo docente; a las relaciones interpersonales y educación continua; a las burocracias que enfrentan los coordinadores; además de la falta de preparación previa y apoyo para el ejercicio de la función y concepciones sobre el trabajo del psicólogo escolar. Se concluye que el coordinador escucha y considera las demandas de los estudiantes, profesores y técnicos, y trata de responderlas por medio de una asociación favorable con el psicólogo escolar, junto con otros segmentos e instancias de la institución.(AU)

The use of telehealth is becoming a prevalent feature in clinical practice worldwide, partly because of advances in medical and telecommunications technology. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has been a key driver in justifying the accelerated use of telehealth, leading to healthcare practitioners (HCPs) utilising virtual consultations more avidly. Although challenges remain, recent data have shown that remote consultations are feasible, safe and effective in South Africa (SA) and that HCPs should become proficient in conducting telehealth, virtual or remote consultations. These guidelines are based on the revised Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) General Ethical Guidelines for Good Practice in Telehealth (Booklet 10) and guidelines on remote or video consultations from the University of Oxford, the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Royal College of Psychiatrists. These guidelines aim to equip HCPs with the basic knowledge and skills pertaining to medicolegal, communication and practical aspects of telehealth and how to practise telehealth safely and effectively in primary care settings in SA during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.Keywords: telehealth; virtual consultations; remote consultations; primary care; guidelines; ethics; medicolegal; communication.

In late 2019, a novel coronavirus, now designated SARS-CoV-2, emerged and was identified as the cause of an outbreak of acute respiratory illness in Wuhan, a city in China, named as COVID-19. Since then the waves of the virus exponentially hit many countries around the globe with high rates of spread associated with variable degrees of morbidity and mortality. The WHO announced the pandemic state of the infection in March 2020 and by June 1st 2020 more than 6 million individuals and more than 370 thousands case fatalities were documented worldwide. In this article, we discussed many aspects regarding this emerged infection based on the available evidence aiming to help clinician to improve not only their knowledge but also their practices toward this infection.

Resumo A readequação do atendimento em saúde mental durante a pandemia de covid-19 foi facilitada por mudanças na legislação médica vigente. O teleatendimento trouxe oportunidades para tratar, acompanhar e identificar os transtornos mentais de modo diferente. Este artigo tem por objetivo relatar a experiência do serviço de saúde mental de um hospital universitário e da residência médica em psiquiatria durante este período. A assistência ambulatorial incluiu teleatendimento e consultas presenciais conforme a gravidade, e foi criado o projeto Acolhimento em Saúde Mental em Tempos de Pandemia para assistir os profissionais do hospital. Espera-se que no futuro o teleatendimento seja usado como ferramenta para o cuidado em saúde mental, sendo ainda necessário treinar os profissionais e avaliar a qualidade desse recurso.


Abstract The readjustment in the care of mental health patients during the Covid-19 pandemic was facilitated by changes in the current medical legislation. Telemedicine brought forth opportunities to treat, monitor and identify mental disorders in different ways. This article reports the experience of the mental health service in a teaching hospital and psychiatry residency program during this period. Outpatient care included telemedicine appointments and face-to-face visits, according to severity criteria, and the project Embracing Mental Health in Times of Pandemic was created to assist hospital health staff. The prospect for the future is the use of teleservice as a tool for mental health care, which requires better training for professionals and evaluating the quality of this modality.


Resumen La adaptación de la atención de la salud mental durante la pandemia de covid-19 se vio facilitada por cambios en la legislación médica actual. La telemedicina ha brindado oportunidades para tratar, controlar e identificar trastornos mentales de otro modo. Este artículo tiene como objetivo relatar la experiencia del servicio de salud mental de un hospital universitario y de la residencia médica en psiquiatría durante este período. La atención ambulatoria incluyó telemedicina y consultas presenciales según la gravedad, y se creó el proyecto "Acogiendo la Salud Mental en Tiempos de Pandemia" para ayudar a los profesionales del hospital. Se espera que en el futuro se utilice la telemedicina como herramienta para la atención de la salud mental. Para ello, será necesario formar profesionales y evaluar la calidad de este recurso.

O processo de desinstitucionalização da assistência em Saúde Mental pode ficar comprometido se não houver a adequada formação e compreensão da política que o norteia pelos profissionais da área. O objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar o conhecimento dos coordenadores de Centros de Atenção Psicossocial do interior do Estado de Goiás sobre a Política Nacional de Saúde Mental. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritivo-exploratória de abordagem qualitativa realizada com 19 coordenadores desses serviços, no período de janeiro a maio de 2011. Os dados foram submetidos à análise temática de conteúdo com o auxílio do software ATLAS-ti. Considerou-se que os coordenadores possuem compreensão pertinente às orientações legais, destacando-se a reinserção social, inclusão da família na assistência, o trabalho interdisciplinar e a articulação dos serviços em uma rede de assistência. Em contrapartida, apontam-se dificuldades para implementar a política, devido à carência de dispositivos na rede, à necessidade de qualificação e à falta de investimentos em recursos físicos, financeiros e humanos.


The deinstitutionalization of care in mental health can be compromised if no proper training and understanding of the policy that guides the professionals is achieved. The present study aimed to verify the knowledge of Psychosocial Care Center coordinators in the state of Goiás -Brazil about the National Mental Health Policy. The descriptive-exploratory research, using a qualitative approach, was carried out with 19 coordinators of these services, between January and May 2011. Data were submitted to thematic content analysis counting on the support of the Atlas-ti software. Results show that coordinators have relevant understanding of legal guidelines, especially of social reintegration, family inclusion in care, interdisciplinary work, and articulation of services in a care network. On the other hand, difficulties to implement the policy due to the lack of network devices, the need for qualification and lack of investment in physical, financial and human resources are also pointed out.
