Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect of autologous fat graft in the correction of varying degrees of nasolabial fold drop.Methods:From September 2018 to September 2021, 96 patients mean age of 41 years, with range from 36 to 50 years with nasolabial fold drop admitted in our hospital were treated with autologous fat graft, the improvement of nasolabial fold drop was evaluated by the change of severity (wrinkle severity rating scale, WSRS) to observe the clinical effect and complications of autologous fat graft.Results:Among 96 patients, 75 cases were accepted once treatment, the other 21 cases were accepted twice treatment. The patients were followed up for 12 months, 58 cases (60.4%) of patients had significant improvement, 30 cases (31.3%) of patients had moderate improvement, and 8 cases (8.3%) of patients had slight improvement. There were no complications except mild bruising in early postoperative period in some patients.Conclusions:Autologous fat graft in the correction of varying degrees of nasolabial fold drop is safe and effective, which could be popularized in clinical practice.

Facial contour consists of facial bony frame, skin and soft tissues overlying facial bone. Facial contouring surgery is a surgery that is perfomed on the face(bone and/or soft tissues) in order to achieve better facial proportion by balancing overall facial lines. During the last 15-years period, we perfomed many facial contouring surgeries. The main surgery perfomed in our clinics were mandible angle resection, zygoma reduction, chin augmentation or reduction, forehead augmentation or reduction. The subsidiary surgery for the purpose of better improving facial balance with main sugery were augmentation or reduction rhinoplasty, double fold formation, epicanthoplasty, augmentation mammoplasty, hair transplantation or removal, facial fat injection or liposuction. It was rare to perfome just one kind of facial contouring surgery. Rather, we perfomed two or more than kinds of facial contouring surgery on different facial parts at the same time together. The reason was that it was convenient to coordinate total balanced facial beauty and achieve a better result. So, we summarized factors to be considered in planning the facial contouring surgery. First, in zygoma reduction, we must do not make a cheek droop. If there was a cheek droop, we must lift the cheek to the line which connecting both tragi. Second, in mandible angle resection, facial contouring line should maintain oval shape without straight line and there should be no remaining angle in the front of mandible. Third, we must consider relationship between face and body (especially breast). Fourth, as much as possible, it is more advisable to perform necessary operations all at the same time.

Objective:To investigate the relationship between submandihular gland droop and Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome (OSAS).Methods:20 patients with established OSAS were randomly checked up through CT scanning and MR examining. PolySomnoGraphy(PSG)was performed before operation,and submandibular morphology was studied,symptoms sumed up,8 vol- unteering patients underwent PSG after operation.patients and their familymembers were investigated in the follow-up.Results: 20 patients with OSAS developed submandibular gland droop,including downwand displacement and swelling.AHI was monitored to be below 14.90 in 8 cases pastoperatively;OSA disappeared in 12 patients and notable relief of OSA Occurred in 8 patients; snoring was eliminated in 8 patients,lowered in 12 patients;daytime fatigue disappeared in all patients,and diastolic pressure decreased to lower than 90mmHg in hypertensive patients.No recurrence was found in the 12-24 months of follow up.Conclu- sions:submandibular gland droop is a complication of snoring,submandibular gland droop and swelling let the base of tongue fall back,and the body of tongue run up.Submandibular gland droop is the most significant cause for OSAS.Removal of droop- ing submandibular gland is an effective cure for OSAS.
