摘要

Objective:To compare the efficacy of Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) and the conventional care in the improvement of the prognosis and mental state of patients with chronic bone infection. Methods:A retrospective cohort study was conducted to analyze the clinical data of 219 patients with chronic bone infection who were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of the Army Medical University from January 2018 to February 2019, including 172 males and 47 females, aged 15-65 years [(42.1±3.8)years]. Infection sites were the tibia in 144 patients and the femur in 75 patients. According to the classification of Cierny-Mader bone infection, there were 44 patients with type I (intramedullary bone infection), 57 with type II (superficial bone infection), 79 with type III (local bone infection), and 39 with type IV (diffuse bone infection). The patients were divided into conventional care group (admitted from January to July 2018, n=106) and SFBT group (admitted from August 2018 to February 2019, n=113) according to their admission time. The conventional care group received the conventional care, while the SFBT group underwent SFBT on the basis of the conventional care, with an intervention period of 6 months. The Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) knee score, 36-item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) for somatic, emotional, role and social function, Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) were compared between the two groups before surgery, at discharge and at 6 months after surgery. The rates of satisfaction with the nursing care and bone healing were collected at the last follow-up. Results:All the patients were followed up for 12-36 months [(24.5±6.3)months]. The differences in HSS knee score, SF-36 for somatic, emotional, role, and social function scores, SAS score, and SDS score between the two groups were not statistically significant before surgery ( P>0.05). At discharge, the HSS knee score and SF-36 for somatic, emotional, role, and social function scores of the SFBT group were (68.6±6.9)points, (23.0±1.8)points, (23.2±1.6)points, (23.4±1.5)points, and (23.1±1.8)points respectively, which were all significantly higher than those of the conventional care group [(66.3±7.2)points, (19.7±3.3)points, (20.0±2.7)points, (19.8±3.2)points, and (20.5±2.7)points respectively] ( P<0.05); The SAS and SDS scores in the SFBT group were (40.9±6.2)points and (41.1±6.2)points respectively, which were both significantly lower than those in the conventional care group [(46.4±6.3)points and (47.3±6.4)points] ( P<0.05). At 6 months after surgery, the HSS knee score and SF-36 for somatic, emotional, role, and social function scores in the SFBT group were (81.6±6.7)points, (26.3±1.6)points, (27.9±1.4)points, (26.6±1.4)points, and (27.9±1.6)points respectively, which were all significantly higher than those in the conventional care group [(78.5±7.2)points, (17.4±2.9)points, (18.7±2.5)points, (18.3±3.0)points, and (20.0±2.5)points respectively] ( P<0.05 or 0.01); the SAS and SDS scores in the SFBT group were (32.8±4.8)points and (30.8±5.5)points respectively, which were significantly lower than those in the conventional care group [(44.2±5.5)points and (42.5±6.2)points] ( P<0.05). At the last follow-up in the conventional care group and the SFBT group, the rates of satisfaction with the nursing care were 66.0% (70/106) and 88.5% (100/113) respectively ( P<0.01), and the bone healing rates were 96.2% (102/106) and 94.7% (107/113) respectively ( P>0.05). Conclusion:Compared with the conventional care, SFBT for intervention to patients with chronic bone infection is a safe and effective mental nursing model which can improve the recovery of the function and the quality of the patients′ life, reduce their anxiety and depression, and enhance their satisfaction rate.

Abstract Objective The present study was conducted with the objective of investigating the effectiveness of solution-focused group counseling (SFGC) on promoting the mental health of midwifery students. Methods The present study is an intervention-based study with a pretest, a post-test, and a control group. The statistical population included all of the midwifery students studying in the midwifery department of the Bam University of Medical Sciences, Kerman, Iran, who filled out the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) in the screening phase. In the second phase, 40 individuals, having a low level of mental health based on the cutoff score of 23, were selected and randomly divided into 2 groups (intervention and control), each group with 20 participants. The intervention group participated in 5 sessions of 75 minutes for SFGC. Then, the post-test was held in both groups and the data analysis was conducted using the Mann-Whitney and the Kruskal-Wallis test with IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows, Version 21.0 (IBM Corp, Armonk, NY, USA). The significance level was considered as p < 0.05. Results The findings showed that the mean of the post-test mental health scores of the intervention group (14.5 ± 50.35) and of the control group (23.6 ± 35.83) showed a statistically significant difference (p < 0.0001). Moreover, the comparison between the mean scores of the mental health subscales (physical symptoms, stress, social performance, and depression) showed a statistically significant difference in these groups, and SFGC improved physical symptoms, stress, social performance, and depression in the members of the intervention group. Conclusion Solution-focused group counseling may improve all levels of mental health. This type of counseling is recommended to be used to solve the psychological problemsand to improve the mental health of students, as well as of the staff of the health system.

摘要

The aim of this study was to examine the psychometric properties of the solution-Focused Inventory (SFI) in a Spanish population, replicating the original validation study of Grant et al. (2012). The SFI, designed to evaluate solution-focused thinking, is a 12-item scale with three subscales: problem Disengagement, goal orientation and resource activation. The instrument was adapted and translated into Spanish, then two studies were carried out to examine its psychometric properties. The first study confirmed the instrument's structure, and its good internal consistency. The second study confirmed its convergent validity; SFI was positively correlated with measures of well-being, resilience, satisfaction with life and perspective taking, and negatively correlated with psychopathology. This second study confirmed the stability of the SFI scores across time. In sum, these two studies provide additional support for the reliability and validity of the SFI as a measure of solution-focused thinking, and open its use to Spanish-speaking populations.

摘要

Abstract: Lack of follow up treatment for weight control and maintenance by Mexican women represents a serious problem for the health system. This study assess an intervention to increase adherence in women with overweight and obesity through motivational interviewing combined with brief therapy centered in problem solving cognitive behavioral. A quasi-experimental study was designed, with pre and post treatment evaluation. The sample was composed of 16 overweight or obese women who were in nutritional treatment in a public clinic. They were assigned to an experimental group (10) or to a control group (6). They were assessed by the Questionnaire for evaluation of therapeutic adherence MBG; Questionnaire to measure adherence to diet and exercise (designed for the study); and OQ overeating food questionnaire. The results show a tendency to increase adherence in the experimental group, which also showed greater personal involvement and perceived social support. These variables, along with psychological support, promote adherence. It is necessary to broaden the sample, the number of sessions and control some of the conditions of implementation of the intervention to obtain more conclusive results.

Objective To investigate the effects of solution focused approach on the hope level of patients with epilepsy. Methods A total of 83 patients with epilepsy were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, 42 cases in the observation group, 41 cases in the control group. The control group was given traditional nursing care, the observation group was given nursing intervention based on solution focused approach. Two groups were surveyed with Herth Hope Index (HHI), Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) before and after the intervention. Results Before the intervention, HHI of the observation group and the control group scored 24.95 ± 1.92 and 24.56 ± 3.23 respectively. After intervention the scores increased to 28.85 ± 1.81 and 25.31 ± 3.35. After intervention, HHI and each dimension of the observation group scored higher than those before intervention and the control group, the difference was statistically significant (t=-4.75, 5.84, P 0.05). After intervention SAS scores the observation group and the control group were 41.65 ± 6.22 and 49.72 ± 5.86, SDS scores were 44.57 ± 5.83 and 49.73 ± 6.24, there was significant difference between 2 groups (t=5.67, 3.20, P < 0.01). Intra group comparison of the observation showed that there was significant difference in SAS and SDS scores before and after the intervention (t=10.27, 5.36, P < 0.01). Intra group comparison of the control group also showed statistical difference in SAS and SDS scores (t=4.65, 2.17, P<0.05 or 0.01). Conclusions The solution focused approach can improve the psychological status of patients with epilepsy, improve the level of hope, promote the rehabilitation of patients.
