Pessoas com 50 anos e mais com HIV/AIDS no Brasil: quem são? / People 50 years old and over with HIV/AIDS in Brazil: who are they?

RESUMO

O presente estudo teve como objetivo identificar as evidências científicas sobre quem são as pessoas envelhecidas com HIV/AIDS nos estudos brasileiros, à luz dos aspectos clínicos e epidemiológicos. Caracteriza-se como uma revisão integrativa da literatura, desenvolvida nas bases de dados SCOPUS, SciELO e LILACS com uso dos descritores "HIV", "Epidemiologia", "Idoso" e "AIDS", em português e em inglês, publicados nos últimos 10 anos. Resultou em 15 estudos, que tiveram os dados descritos em três subcategorias aspectos sociodemográficos, epidemiológicos e clínicos. Concluiu-se que é necessária uma melhor identificação desses pacientes para que se possa nortear caminhos para prevenção, diagnóstico precoce, proteção e controle do agravo e reformulações nas ações de saúde para garantir a qualidade de vida dos idosos. ABSTRACT

The present study aimed to identify the scientific evidence about who are the people aged with HIV/AIDS in Brazilian studies in light of clinical and epidemiological aspects. It is characterized as an integrative review of the literature, developed in the databases Scopus, SciELO and LILACS using the descriptors "HIV", "Epidemiology", "Elderly" and "AIDS", in Portuguese and in English, published in the last 10 years. It resulted in 15 studies, which had the data separated into three subcategories socio-demographic, epidemiological and clinical aspects. It was concluded that a better identification of these patients is necessary in order to guide ways for prevention, early diagnosis, protection and control of the disease and reformulations in health actions to guarantee the quality of life of the elderly.
