This work was conducted on 30 female patients with acute myocardial infarction. The highest incidence of myocardial infarction in females was obesity in the sixth and seventh decades of life [63.3% of cases]. Hypertension was the second common risk factor [60% of cases]. Diabetes mellitus was the third common risk factor [46.7% of cases]. Hypercholesterolemia was found in 30% of cases. Hypertriglyceridemia was found in 10% of cases. In the non-menopausal women [26.7%] obesity, oral contraceptive pills, and hypertension were the most common prevalent risk factors
