ABSTRACT
Insulin resistance(IR)is an abnormal pathological and physiological process characterized by a decrease in the ability of target tissues and organs to utilize insulin. There are many factors related to IR.Epigenetic modification is one of the important regulatory mechanisms that cause IR.N6-methyladenosine(m6A)is an epigenetic modification with high abundance in Eukaryote mRNA.Its dynamic changes can regulate the expression of related enzymes, affect IR process and exert different biological effects in target organs. This article reviews the research progress of dynamic modification and regulation of m6A methylation in IR.
