RESUMEN

El objetivo de este estudio es determinar las diferencias que hay entre los diversos métodos de expansión. Las técnicas de expansiónabordadas pueden ser aplicadas en aquellos pacientes que se encuentran en periodo de crecimiento y pacientes en los cuales el crecimiento óseo ha finalizado. Existen diversos procedimientos para el tratamiento de la deficiencia transversal en función de diversos factores a valorar, tales comoel estado madurativo óseo y la magnitud del problema. Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica para poder discutir y aclarar algunos puntos dónde aún existen controversias.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this study is to determine the differences between the various methods of expansion. This expansion techniques can be applied in patients who are in the growth phase and patients in whom bone growth is complete. There are various methods for the treatment of transverse deficiency based on various factors to assess, such as bone maturation statusand the magnitude of the problem.A literature review was conducted to discuss and clarify some points where there are still disputes.
