ABSTRACT

Neonatal pneumothorax is one of the common acute and severe diseases in newborns. Neonatal pneumothorax is of acute onset, fast progress, and can be life-threatening if not handled timely. Therefore,early and accurate diagnosis of pneumothorax and timely intervention are important. Lung ultra-sound has a unique advantage in the diagnosis of pulmonary diseases,real-time convenience,high sensitivity and specificity. It is the frontier medical technology that can visually evaluate pneumothorax.
