Modelo para la investigación en la enseñanza tutelar de la carrera de Medicina en Cuba / Model for the research in the tutelary teaching of the medical career in Cuba

RESUMEN

El nuevo modelo de enseñanza de la medicina en Cuba se inicia con la educación en el trabajo desde los primeros años en el área de salud, a través del empleo de modalidades tutelares, aprendizaje activo e independiente. Para los temas de Inmunología, se proponen en las orientaciones al tutor, investigaciones sencillas que realizarán los alumnos con la población del consultorio . Se ofrecen alternativas sobre contenidos de “hipersensibilidad”, partiendo de problemas importantes de salud que coincidan con los programas nacionales o con las estrategias que el médico ejecuta en su área. Los problemas seleccionados fueron asma bronquial alérgica, enfermedad hemolítica del recién nacido por conflicto Rh, dengue, hepatitis viral B y tuberculosis pulmonar. El estudiante aplicará en la práctica conocimientos de Inmunología y de otras ciencias, adquirirá habilidades para asociar variables, establecer riesgos, elaborar y aplicar encuestas para investigaciones cualitativas e interpretar resultados, de manera que obtendrá conocimientos con independencia y con la ayuda del tutor

ABSTRACT

The new model of teaching Medicine in Cuba is initiated with the work education in the health area since the first years through the use of tutelary modalities, active and independent learning. For the topics of Immunology, the tutor is recommended to orientate simple researches that will be conducted by students in the population seen at the family physician's oficce Alternatives on the contents of “hypersensitivity” are offered, starting from significant problems of health coinciding with the national programs or with the strategies used by the physician in his health area. The problems selected were allergic bronchial asthma, haemolytic disease of the newborn caused by Rh conflict, dengue, viral hepatitis B, and pulmonary tuberculosis. The students will apply in the practice the knowledge on Immunology and of other sciences, and they also will acquire abilities to associate variables, to establish risks, to prepare and to apply surveys for qualitative researches, and to interpret results, obtaining knowledge with independence, and with the help of the tutor.
