O aborto provocado como uma possibilidade na existência da mulher: reflexões fenomenológico-existenciais / Abortion as a possibility on the existence of the woman: existential-phenomenological reflections

RESUMO

A pesquisa teve como objetivo compreender a experiência de cinco mulheres que provocaram aborto. A partir da hermenêutica fenomenológica, os resultados revelaram que a experiência do aborto é compreendida como uma escolha. O sentimento mais presente na experiência das mulheres foi a culpa, seguida do desamparo e da solidão. Foi revelado que o aborto ocorreu pelo desejo de dar continuidade a projetos de vida e exercer a maternidade somente num relacionamento estável. Quanto ao atendimento prestado pela equipe de saúde, revela-se a necessidade de uma reestruturação do funcionamento do SUS para uma maior assistência às mulheres. Essa experiência também fez as mulheres reverem os significados que tinham em relação ao aborto e aos seus projetos de vida.

ABSTRACT

The research aimed to understand the experience of five women who had an abortion. From the hermeneutic phenomenology, results revealed that the experience of abortion is seen as a choice. The most common feeling experienced by these women was guilt, as well as helplessness and loneliness. It was revealed that abortion was chosen based on their desire to continue life projects and pursue motherhood only in a stable relationship. Regarding the care provided by the health professionals at the time of the abortion, the research revealed the need for some restructuring of SUS in order to better assist these women. This experience also brought these women to reconsider the meanings they had in regard to abortion and their life projects.
