Anna Freud e Melanie Klein: o sintoma como adaptação ou solução? / Anna Freud and Melanie Klein: the symptom as adaptation or solution?

RESUMO

O presente artigo parte de uma questão que se introduz na prática clínica com crianças e nas discussões acadêmicas de casos clínicos em referência ao sintoma. Trata-se de se perguntar se essa prática privilegia a formação do sintoma e sua articulação com a dimensão pulsional, ou se a mesma se limita a uma prática de adaptação do sintoma ao social. Iniciaremos nosso percurso com Freud e a nova formulação pulsional proposta por ele em 1920, procurando destacar como essa formulação provocou certa inflexão no que concerne ao sintoma na clínica, e aqui, especificamente na clínica com crianças, com as pioneiras Anna Freud e Melanie Klein.

ABSTRACT

This article takes as its point of departure a question on the symptom that emerges in the clinical practice with children and in academic discussions of clinical cases. Does this practice favor the formation of the symptom and its articulation with the drive dimension or is it merely a practice of social adaptation of the symptom? We will begin at the new drive theory proposed by Freud in 1920, trying to highlight how this formulation caused a slight change in relation to the symptom, focusing here in the clinic with children of the pioneers Anna Freud and Melanie Klein.
