Screening of medicinal plants for boosting immunity & as a potent treatment against COVID-19

ABSTRACT

The novel coronavirus, Covid-19 has sent the world into a medical crisis & plunged the economy into severe recession. At present there are more than 38 million confirmed cases world wide. According to Ministry of Health, GOI, tallies of active covid-19 cases have crossed 7 millions. Several potent vaccine candidate have been developed at a war speed. And are at different trial phases but may offer only six month of protection. Acconlingto experts. The novel coronavirusaffects individuals with weak immunity. Therefore boosting population immunity by spreading awareness about important microbial phytochemicals is the need of the hour. The goal of this search was to identify, summarize & publish reports on phytochemicals identified for their role in managing Covid-19 infection.
