ABSTRACT
This article discusses the current policies to face the Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) pandemic, in a bioethical perspective. In particular, through the analysis of declarations and statements issued by the most important international institutions in the bioethical field, I analyse the principles that are considered relevant in global health emergencies, as well as for public health challenges. In the second part, the risks of the policies adopted by some European countries are highlighted, as well as their economic and social ramifications such as quarantine and re-allocation of resources, with specific consideration of the condition of most vulnerable people. © 2020 Ibero-American Law Institute.
