The homeopathic medicine, a discipline which widens the knowledge level with a naturist vision, helps to elevate the clinical and therapeutic control of the health professionals, at the same time that allows to have a wider vision of the patient taking into account his integration with himself and with the environment. Miasma in homeopathy is the alteration of the individual's vital energy that predisposes him to suffer certain illnesses. To such effects, an exhaustive literature review on the topic was carried out and the interpretation of the old definitions related to the current conception is offered.
