ABSTRACT
The Miasm Theory, created by Samuel Hahnemann, the father of Homeopathy, still causes great controversy. Different authors try to explain it according to the scientific knowledge and philosophical approaches regarding their respective life time. J. Henry Allen, Hahnemann’s successor in the miasm studies, at the end of the nineteenth century identified important growth in the number of sycotic patients, which we still believe happens nowadays. In the present paper we aim to analyze Sycosis since Hahnemann to the contemporary authors, evaluating different approaches and its importance along History. (AU)
