Report of a patient with major depressive disorder, without previous antidepressant treatment and with indiscriminated use of benzodiazepine who presented an important improvement in the depressive simptoms as well as in quality of life and behaviors after the intake of de Natrum Muriaticum CH30 XX/10, prescribed aftar a 20 minute interview in a psichiatric Emergence Room. Further evaluations using de HAM-AD17 scale showed sustainable improvement in the depressive simptoms and in quality of life concluing that homoeopathy is a valuable option for the treatment of major depressive disorder.
