RESUMEN

It has been proved that the reaction between furfuryl amines and N-R-maleimides leads to the formation of aza-Michael addition products - 3-(furylmethylamino)-N-R-pyrrolidine-2,5-diones, instead of 7-oxa-2-azabicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-enes, as this journal reported previously.

RESUMEN

The photoproduction of the omega meson has been studied at GRAAL from threshold up to a photon energy of 1.5 GeV. The differential cross sections and beam asymmetries have been measured precisely at all angles. The total cross section is also obtained. Systematic enhancements of the differential cross section at large angles and nonzero beam asymmetries at intermediate angles provide clear evidence for s- and u-channel resonant processes. The data are compared to the results of hadron and quark models.

RESUMEN

The article discusses techniques for assessing the economic and medico-social efficiency of innovations introduced into health care practice starting from the example of a new procedure (prodigiosin inhalations) in prevention of ENT disorders and of influenza in preschool children. The analysis bears on the role and importance of evaluations of this type in the implementation of scientific findings, as well as in restructuring the health care sector and reorienting biomedical research. The authors contend that the expanding area of innovation use does not trigger more than insignificant rises in costs (costs allocated to scientific research, for instance), whereas cost containment is almost directly proportional to the expanding applications. It can, therefore, be concluded that imposing limitations and delays in the implementation of efficient innovations bars cost savings and diminishes the actual economic efficiency of biomedical research.

RESUMEN

The double pi(0) photoproduction off the proton has been measured in the beam energy range of 0.65-1.5 GeV. The total and differential cross sections and the Sigma beam asymmetry were extracted. The total cross section measured for the first time in the third resonance region of the nucleon shows a prominent peak. The interpretation of these results by two independent theoretical models infers mostly the selective excitation of P11- and D13-nucleon resonances.
