RESUMEN
Life stages of Palpomyia sohraensis sp. n. is described and illustrated with bio-ecological notes. Key to the adult of the all species from India of the genus Palpomyia Meigen is also provided. The complete life stages of any Palpomyia are described for the first time from the Oriental Region.

Immature and adult stages of Monopelopia mongpuense sp. n. from phytotelmata of Cedrus deodara (Lamb.) in Darjeeling are described along with biological notes. Key to the adult males of all species of the genus Monopelopia Fittkau is also presented. This genus is recorded for the first from Indian subcontinent.

A new genus, Chaudhuriomyia in the tribe Macropelopiini belonging to subfamily Tanypodinae is described and illustrated in all life stages. The genus can be distinguished from all the other known Macropelopiini by the presence of a blunt claw on fore leg and a smooth surface of tibial spur in adult male, seminal capsules without proper neck in adult female, round anal lobe in pupa, and slightly inwardly bent inner tooth of ligula in larva. Generic diagnoses for larva, pupa and adult are provided. Taxonomic position and distribution of the genus are discussed along with a new adult key of tribe Macropelopiini. The specimens were collected from a stream in Indo-Bhutan border area of Eastern Himalaya in Indian Subcontinent. A note on the ecology and biology of the new genus is included.

Life stages of Forcipomyia parasecuris sp. n. is described, illustrated and photomicrograph based on examination with scanning electron microscope and binocular microscope. The larvae were collected from rotting banana stump of a banana garden at lower Gangetic plain area in India. Absence of ocular sensillum and campaniform sensillum in ocular area of pupa, a synapomorphic character of this proposed new species exhibits its uniqueness in genus Forcipomyia. This is also the first life stage of any Forcipomyia described from India.
