RESUMEN

201 HIV infected and 200 non HIV infected patients have been observed to detect antibodies to virus hepatitis G. It was established that IgG antibodies are detected more often in HIV infected than in non-HIV-infected persons (24,9% of cases). The highest number of hepatitis G-infected patients is observed among HIV patients at before-HIV clinically apparent stage and HIV clinical stage as well as in patients infected by HIV virus during parenteral infusion.

RESUMEN

The examination of 99 children immunized with adsorbed DPT vaccine revealed that the intensity of immune response to the diphtheria and tetanus components of the preparation were linked with a number of genetic markers (respectively, HLA-A9, B35, etc.; HLA-A25, B8, etc.) and their combinations. The groups of children with high and low sensitivity include an elevated number of persons with the corresponding titers of antibodies of other specificity. The results obtained in this study should be considered in working out individual immunization schedules.

RESUMEN

Blood groups, including rhesus grouping, have been determined in 218 donors and HLA of loci A, B, C in 121 donors immunized with adsorbed tetanus toxoid (40 binding units). The presence of HLA Aw 32, B 8; HLA Bw 16, haplotypes A3 Bw 16 and A1, blank antigens of locus C is linked with the production of, respectively, high or low (less than or equal to 16 I.U./ml) antibody titers. The effectiveness of immunization is influenced by agglutinogen B, which is confirmed by its associations (in a complex with HLA Bw 16 or Bw 35) with low immune response.

RESUMEN

Two cases are presented of replication of enteroviruses over a long period of time, that caused a protracted atypical clinical course of infection. No typical clinical markers of infection can be seen in the wake of enterovirus replication; the replication itself can be of a protracted recurrent character. Replication of enteroviruses is capable of inducing a protracted recurrent subfebrile condition in adults that has no clinical signs of immunodeficiency state. Parallel activation of replication of a number of viruses, according to our data, is a widespread phenomenon, which fact is to be taken account of in planning examination and treatment strategies. Laboratory tests are needed for the activation of diseases of enteroviral etiology to be ascertained.

RESUMEN

A micromodification of the specific leukocyte lysis method was developed; only 0.02 ml of blood is sufficient for the test. The micromodification improved the reproducibility of the technique more than twofold, simplified it, and is recommended for examinations of some populations, including children whose body reactivity is changed and an individual approach to their immunization with TDP vaccine is necessary.

RESUMEN

Immunological examination and endolymphatic treatment were performed in 44 patients with cancer of the kidney or urinary bladder. In the majority of patients lymphocytes of the peripheral blood demonstrated reduced expression of some differential antigens. Subpopulation of T-lymphocytes, expression of T-lymphocyte receptors got decreased in almost all the patients. Endolymphatic introduction of immunocorrective thymalin improved the patients' life quality, their immune status. However, the level and proportional expression of differential lymphocyte antigens following course polychemotherapy and immunocorrection in patients do not coincide with relevant parameters of healthy subjects. It is evident that further search for optimal treatment schemes is needed.

RESUMEN

It is concluded that the outcome of hemotransfusion complication is influenced by the clinical state of the patients during incompatible transfusion, the amount of the transfused medium as well as the treatment carried out after development of acute renal failure. Constant alertness during transfusion as well as wider use of blood antigen-typed for Rh-Hr system antigens are of major importance for the prophylaxis of blood transfusion complications.

RESUMEN

The developed procedure for the isolation of mononuclears in density gradient d = 1.0077 g/cm3 consists in separation of the plasma by preliminary centrifugation at 200 g for 7-10 min and isolation of leukocytic mononuclear cells from the cellular sediment diluted with the isotonic solution. The length of centrifugation at 400 g is selected with consideration for the thickness of the density gradient. An anticoagulant is added to the isotonic solution and ficoll-verografin mixture to improve the quality of the cell isolation.

RESUMEN

A micromethod for lysozyme measurement with a Uniskan-1 spectrophotometer has been developed. The concentration of this enzyme was measured in 5-10 microliters of saliva and blood. Lysozyme levels were measured in miners of deep mines who had various dental conditions.

RESUMEN

Pancreas function, lipid peroxidation and antioxidant defence were studied in 154 children aged 1 to 14 years with food allergy. Allergic inflammation due to food allergy favours the origin of different abnormalities of pancreas function: functional (39.4%), reactive pancreatitis (31.3%), chronic pancreatitis (20.1%), and sclerosing chronic pancreatitis (9.2%). They occur in combination with lipid peroxidation activation and a decrease in antioxidant defence. The intensity of the latter ones is dependent on the variety of pancreas function disturbance. The most significant changes in lipid peroxidation and antioxidant defence were discovered in chronic pancreatitis.
