[Artistic design of medical steam sterilizers]. / Khudozhestvennoe konstruirovanie meditsinskikh parovykh sterilizatorov

The shaping of any manufactured product provides for a solution of a number of problems associated with improvement of its quality. In this connection the designer should take into consideration not only the ergonomic factors, but also seek to make the object under construction to meet artistic and esthetic demands. An analysis of shortcomings incident to the autoclaves type AIII-1M turned out by the industry helped to create a series of sterilizers with novel design features and of a larger capacity whose servicing requires from the opserator the least physical efforts. A comprehensive solution of the problem as to the composition, simplicity and regularity of the shape, along with proper external shaping of individual functional components secure favourable conditions for the operation of the sterilizer and also make it possible to adopt it as a basic unit in building up centralized sterilization installations.
