Phytotherapy and pharmacotherapy are closely related. The mode of action of phytopharmaca with no strong effect is often explained cell biologically and pharmacologically in a too general way. The origin of some herb teas and herbal medicinal products, distributed by product distributor networks, is often uncertain, often originating from abroad. The imprecise denomination of drug components, as well as the unscientific description of indications make abuses possible and are harmful for the upsurge of phytotherapy. For these reasons more potential should be given to the preparation of herb tea mixtures and herbal medicinal products that can be prepared in pharmacies as well. Inland medicines, curative or illness-preventing products that are prepared from checked components and licensed for distribution should be favoured.
