RESUMEN
Several investigators has been found the serotypes of Ps. aeruginosa in Turkey by comparing with Habs, Sandvik, Veron, Meitert and Homma's serotypes. Habs's 0 : 3, 0 : 7, 0 : 11, Veron's 0 : 2b, Meitert's 0 : 15 0 : 13, 0 : 4, 0 : 5, Homma's 0 : 15, 0 : 2, 0 : 7, 0 : 13, 0 : 16 Serotypes found to be majority of the serotypes of the Ps aeruginosa in these researches. Meitert's phage set has been used in the bacteriophage typing of Ps. aeruginosa. Ia phage type found to be predominant phage type in Turkey. In addition to that pyocin types of Ps. aeruginosa was fund by using active pyocin typing method, pyocin types 3, 5, 27 were in majority in these investigations.

240 Ps. aeruginosa strains were isolated from patients in Diyarbakir, 198 (82.5%) were typed, 42 (17.5%) could not been typed with Gillies-Govan Method. Pyocine type 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 14, 16, 18, 24, 27, 31, 37 were found. Pyocine type 3 (23.8%) was more frequent than others.

951 Ps. aeruginosa strains were isolated from the patients at the hospital wards of Diyarbakir Medical Faculty. These strains were identified on the basis of methods employed by Gilardi. Anti-O typing sera were prepared with 17 Ps. aeruginosa strains obtained from Pasteur Institute of Paris. Ps. aeruginosa strains, isolated by slide agglutination and tube agglutination techniques were identified using Anti-O typing sera. According to these tests, Habs's strains 0:1, 0:3, 0:4, 0:7, 0:8, 0:9 0:10, 0:11, 0:12 and Sandvik's 0:13 and Veron's 0:2b, 0:2ab, 0:5d, 0:5cd strains were identified. Habs's strains 0:2, 0:5, 0:6 were not detectable. The most frequent type was 0:12 (26.39%) and the less frequent ones were 0:1 (2.31%) and 0:8 (2.31%).

The throat swap cultures of 250 children between 5-15 years ages examined for the microorganisms, E. coli, Coliform, Protus, Ps. aeruginosa and S. aureus. 66 (26.4%) E. coli, 64 (25.6%) S. aureus, 9 (3.6%) Coliform, 3 (1.2%) Ps. aeruginosa, 2 (0.2%) Proteus organisms were isolated from throat swaps cultures of 144 (57.6%) children. 106 (42.4%) children had contained normal oral flora. S. aureus and E. coli strains were tested using disk method for the sensitivity of some antibiotics. S. aureus strains were resistant 12.5% to gentamycin, 9.4% to cefoperazone and (1% to cefazolin, 48.4% to lincomycin and 87.5% to ampicillin. E. coli strains were resistant 42% to gentamycin, 37% to cefoperazone and 74% to cefazolin.
