ABSTRACT
Viscosity, erythrocyte flexibility, haematocrit value and fibrinogen concentration have been studied in fifty patients twenty-five of them suffering from angina pectoris and the other twenty-five in good health. The parameters considered in the first group have been found out to be much higher in comparison with the control group. In particular, when the values of blood viscosity are corrected for the standard haematocrit as to 45 per cent, the significance of the values themselves between the two groups of patients is cancelled. In such a way the dependence of viscosity on haematocrit is demonstrated. The results obtained are discussed in relation to the literature data which are not always univocal.
