ABSTRACT

Albert Eschenmoser, one of the greatest organic chemists of the past hundred years, died on Julyâ14, 2023 at the age of 97. The extraordinary breadth of his scientific contributions ranged from synthetic methodology, structure elucidation, and synthesis of natural products to the chemical etiology of biomolecular structures.
