[The clinical and functional rationale for the application of the baths containing the Siberian Stag velvet antler extracts in the rehabilitative treatment of the patients presenting with arterial hypertension and concomitant chronic psychoemothional overtension].

We have developed the method for the treatment of the patients presenting with arterial hypertension and concomitant chronic psychoemothional overtension. The method consists of the application of the baths containing the Siberian Stag velvet antler extracts in combination with exercise therapy and massage. A total of 35 patients with arterial hypertension and concomitant chronic psychoemothional overtension were enrolled in the study. It was shown that inclusion of the baths containing the Siberian Stag velvet antler extracts in the combined treatment of arterial hypertension and concomitant chronic psychoemothional overtension has positive effect on the parameters of the main homeostatic systems, enhances the working capacity of the patients, promotes their psychological stability, and increases the adaptive potential of the organism.

[Circumannular features of non-specific resistance in patients with osteoarthrosis in mid-lattitudes].

Modified cosinor-analysis was used to calculate biorhythmologic characteristics (period, amplitude, phase, mesor) of the circumannual rhythm of neuroendocrine regulation parameters, the state of bioradical hemostasis, and protein components of non-specific resistance in patients with osteoarthrosis living in moderate climates. Near-annual rhythms of these parameters are described. The chronological analysis indicates that strenuouos activity of the regulatory systems responsible for adaptive reactions of the organism falls within the periods from March to May and from August to October. Variability of the above parameters is shown to be related to the efficacy of osteoarthrosis therapy in different phases of the near-annual rhythm.

[A new approach to medical rehabilitation of combatants].

The study of endocrine-metabolic and immune status of combatants with different forms of chronic diseases but free of combat wounds gave grounds for working up a new approach to correction of poststress disorders. The above correction includes staged rehabilitation with a corrective basic complex at the first stage.

[Application of natural and preformed physical factors during medical rehabilitation in participants of military conflicts]. / Primenenie prirodnykh i preformirovannykh fizicheskikh faktorov u uchastnikov vooruzhennykh konfliktov v protsesse meditsinskoi reabilitatsii.

The authors have performed individually adjusted complexes of balneophysiotherapeutic procedures in soldiers and officers who had taken part in local military conflicts. Functional and biochemical investigations show that in those military who had no wounds but had a weak posttraumatic stress reaction the above complexes are rather effective.
