RESUMEN

From the perspective of systems science, it is believed that the health status in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a collection of dynamic changes caused by the continuous mutual movement and exchange of material and energy between the giant system of human beings and the environment, and the accurate identification of this is helpful to understand the common characteristics as well as the development and evolution rules the human body. It is suggested to identify TCM health status based on gut microbiota characteristics, take systems science research method in combination with partial order structure theory to quantify and utilize the information carried by gut microbiota, and use gut microbiota information as a component of micro-parameters to identify TCM health status, thereby supplementing and improving the identification system of TCM health status. The combination of systems science and TCM will further the study of life and provide ideas for studying TCM health status from the perspective of system.

RESUMEN

From the perspective of cybernetics, this study investigated the fundamental principles of empirical thinking in traditional Chinese medicine, encompassing six stages: experience input and storage, experience extraction and activation, experience combination and reconstruction, judgment and decision-making based on experience, and experience evaluation and feedback. The potential limitations of empirical thinking in clinical applications were analyzed, mainly manifested as “individuality”, “superficiality”, “conservatism”, “prioritizing commonality over individuality”, and “cognitive inertia”. To overcome these limitations, this paper also explored strategies and methods for clinical error-correction from four points: the integration of rational and empirical thinking, the reinforcement of feedback mechanisms and transcendent correction, the integration of individualization and quantity-quality balance, and the management and transference of tacit knowledge under empirical thinking.

RESUMEN

Nowadays, there is no specific cure for Alzheimer's disease (AD), but the progression of AD can be improved by preventive interventions. The wine of Taxus chinensis fruit (TCFW) has the effect of improving human immunity and anti-aging as a long history of health care wine in folk, especially popular in the longevity villages in China, which may be potentially effective dietary products to improve AD. However, the chemical constituents and molecular mechanisms of TCFW still remain unknown. In this study, chemical profiling with UHPLC-QE-MS/MS, network pharmacology and molecular docking were integrated to fastly explore the potential chemicals and mechanisms of TCFW against AD. A total of 31 chemical components in TCFW were detected and identified compared with the solvent wine of TCFW by UHPLC-QE-MS/MS. Then, 27 potential key targets and 14 chemical compounds of TCFW were uncovered for the improvement of AD by network pharmacology and molecular docking. These 14 compounds were reported to have diverse bioactivities such as neuroprotective activity, antifibrotic activity, anticancer activity, antiviral activity and effectiveness in the treatment of neuronal injury, Alzheimer's disease, etc. Among these 27 targets affected by TCFW predicted by our approach, AKT1, PTGS2, NOS3, NOS2, INS, ESR1, ESR2, BDNF, IL6, IL1B, DRD2 and ACHE were significantly altered in AD. The GO and KEGG enrichment analyses revealed that TCFW mainly acted on oxidative response, inflammatory response, insulin secretion, amyloid fibril formation, neurodegenerative pathway-multiple diseases, Alzheimer's disease, longevity regulation pathway, PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, MAPK signaling pathway, etc, which were the main pathogenesis of AD. PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a degenerative neurological disorder characterized by cognitive and behavioral dysfunction. Nowadays, there is no specific cure for AD, but the progression of AD can be improved by preventive interventions. The wine of Taxus chinensis fruit (TCFW) has the effect of improving human immunity and anti-aging as a long history of health care wine in folk, especially popular in the longevity villages in China, which may be potentially effective dietary products to improve AD. This study proposed a fastly integrated method to explore the potential chemicals and mechanisms of TCFW against AD by UHPLC-QE-MS/MS, network pharmacology and molecular docking. Here, we found that TCFW may ameliorate AD by reversing many biological events, including oxidative stress, inflammatory response, neuronal apoptosis, insulin secretion, amyloid fibril formation, and T cell co-stimulation, which may provide some insights for the development and research of anti-AD drugs.

RESUMEN

KY3H is a traditional Chinese medicine health care service mode based on the existing problem, focusing on an interconnected and continuous integration of four key technological innovation, which promotes the service model transformation from passive "doctor-searching" to "asking yourself ".There are four features on KY3H mode.First, based on traditional Chinese medicine meridian and viscera theory,it can accurately identify the health status and take risk assessment of individuals through digital quantitative model. Then, the mode realizes the personalized health status recognition and precisious intervention through integrated technology products of dynamic monitoring and identification, assessment and intervention with independent intellectual property rights. The third is to improve the intelligence, realtime and accessibility of KY3H health care services through developing the Chinese-western medicine informationalized software system about health status identification, assessment and intervention. The last one is formulating traditional Chinese medicine health care standards, industry standards and service package design, which drive KY3H health service model spreading effectively and practical applying, achieving remarkable social and economic benefits.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: We wished to study the impact of Chaihushugan San (CSS) on the behavior of perimenopausal rats with liver-Qi stagnation (LQS) and to investigate the effect of CSS on signal transduction of the Raf/mitogen-activated protein kinase (MEK)/ extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) cascade in the hippocampi of rats induced by immobilization. METHODS: Twenty 52-week-old female rats were divided into two groups by the random number table method: model control group (MCG) and CSS group (CSSG), with 10 rats in each group. Ten-week-old female rats were used as the normal control group (NCG). CSS effects were assessed using rats exposed to immobilization stress by measuring body weight and sucrose consumption, serum hormone levels, and observing performance in the open field test (OFT). Molecular mechanisms were examined by measuring the effect of CSS on expression of Raf1, MEK1/2 and ERK1/2 mRNA in hippocampi using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and by measuring levels of these proteins and related phospho-proteins using Western blotting. RESULTS: Perimenopausal rats with LQS had decreased locomotor activity; reduced sucrose consumption; and increased serum levels of corticotropin releasing hormone (CRH) and corticosterone (CORT). Activation of hippocampal Raf/MEK/ERK cascade was suppressed significantly in the MCG, and activation was increased after 21 days of CSS treatment. CONCLUSION: CSS has significant effects upon relief of the symptoms of LQS in immobilization-induced rats. The mechanism underlying this action might (at least in part) be mediated by reversal of disruption of the Raf/MEK/ERK pathway.

RESUMEN

Objective:To investigate the association between polymorphisms of estrogen receptor ? (ER?) gene (rs3020444) and perimenopausal syndrome (PS) in patients with liver qi stagnation syndrome (LQSS). Metheds:The ER?T/C genotype in 100 patients of PS of LQSS type (PS-LQSS group),86 patients of PS of non-LSDS type (PS-non-LQSS group) and 100 healthy subjects (control) was determined by polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) assay. Results:Partitions of ?2 method showed that the higher prevalence of ER?-TT genotypes was noted in PS-LQSS group (?2=8.307,P=0.004),and the higher prevalence of T alleles was noted in PS-LQSS group (?2=7.129,P=0.008). and Multinomial logistic-regression indicated that the odds ratios (OR) of the ER?-TT genotypes vs TC/CC for PS-LQSS was 2.222 (95%CI:1.172-4.744,P=0.015) after adjusting for common miscellaneous factors. Conclusions:It was suggested that ER?-TT genotypes was significantly associated with PS-LQSS,and ESR?-TT may be one of the genes that contribute to PS-LQSS.
