Changes in soil microbial activity and ecological function can be used to assess the level of soil fertility and the stability of ecosystems. To assess the fertility and safety of organic fertilizer of kitchen waste (OFK), soils containing 0% (CK), 1%, 3%, and 5% OFK were cultured, and the physical, chemical, and microbial properties of the soils were measured dynamically with routine agrochemical analysis measures and amplicon sequencing. The results showed that compared with those in CK, the contents of organic matter, available phosphorus, available potassium, NH4+-N, and NO3--N in soils with OFK increased by 23.80%-35.13%, 13.29%-29.72%, 16.91%-39.37%, 164.7%-340.2%, and 28.56%-32.71%, respectively. The activities of hydrolases related to the cycle of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus (α-glucosidase, leucine aminopeptidase, acid phosphatase, etc.) were also significantly higher than those of the CK treatment. OFK stimulated the growth of soil microorganisms and increased the carbon content of the microbial biomass. The amplicon sequencing analysis found that the microbial community structures of different treatments were significantly different at both the class and genus levels. In addition, it was found that the abundance of beneficial microbes in the soils with OFK increased, whereas pathogenic microbes decreased. RDA results confirmed that soil properties (including soil pH, organic matter, available nutrients, and microbial biomass) had a significant impact on microbial community structure. The results of investing bacterial community based on PICRUSt and FAPROTAX revealed that the function of the soil bacterial community was similar in the four treatments, but OFK supply significantly improved the microbial carbon utilization and metabolic ability. Moreover, by using the FUNGuild software, we found that the application of OFK increased the proportion of saprotroph-symbiotroph and symbiotroph and stimulated the growth of ectomycorrhizal fungi-undefined saprophytic fungi but inhibited plant and animal pathogenic fungi in soil. These results implied that OFK could promote the establishment of symbiotic relationships and inhibit the growth of pathogenic fungi. In summary, OFK could improve soil fertility and hydrolase activity, stimulate the growth of beneficial microorganisms, and defend against pathogens, indicating a promising use as safe and efficient organic fertilizer.

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the current status of animal experiments of acupuncture in intervening chronic fatigue syndrome, so as to search formethods to improve the quality of animal experiment reports. METHODS: From the databases, such as CNKI, VIP, Wanfang, SinoMed, PubMed, Web of Science, Embase and Cochrane Library, the literature of animal experiment on acupuncture treatment for chronic fatigue syndrome was searched from January 1st, 2011 to April 2nd, 2022. Data were extracted according to the animal research reporting in vivo experiment (ARRIVE) guidelines 2.0 and gold standard publication checklist (GSPC), and statistical analysis was performed using Excel 2019. RESULTS: A total of 16 studies were finally included. The satis-faction rate of essential items in the ARRIVE guidelines 2.0 is 41.76%,while the satisfaction rate of recommended items is only 27.73% and of the GSPC is 25.89%. Out of 16 studies, 13 of them explained the reasons for animal exclusion in the experiment, 8 provided specific randomized methods, 8 described detailed information on animal species, strains, and quantities, 3 basically indicated that they had passed ethical review, 7 explained the limitations of the research. All 16 studies reported the main findings and elucidated their potential clinical or scientific value. CONCLUSION: Current animal studies on acupuncture in intervening the chronic fatigue syndrome are of certain limitation. Descriptions of multiple items are incomplete or missing, which prevents rea-ders from assessing reliability and authenticity of the animal experiment. It is recommended that in future research, experimental design, execution and report should be carried out according to the report guidelines for animal experiment to improve research quality.

BACKGROUND: With fast rising incidence, papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most common head and neck cancer. Parthenolide, isolated from traditional Chinese medicine, inhibits various cancer cells, including PTC cells. The aim was to investigate the lipid profile and lipid changes of PTC cells when treated with parthenolide. METHODS: Comprehensive lipidomic analysis of parthenolide treated PTC cells was conducted using a UHPLC/Q-TOF-MS platform, and the changed lipid profile and specific altered lipid species were explored. Network pharmacology and molecular docking were performed to show the associations among parthenolide, changed lipid species, and potential target genes. RESULTS: With high stability and reproducibility, a total of 34 lipid classes and 1736 lipid species were identified. Lipid class analysis indicated that parthenolide treated PTC cells contained higher levels of fatty acid (FA), cholesterol ester (ChE), simple glc series 3 (CerG3) and lysophosphatidylglycerol (LPG), lower levels of zymosterol (ZyE) and Monogalactosyldiacylglycerol (MGDG) than controlled ones, but with no significant differences. Several specific lipid species were changed significantly in PTC cells treated by parthenolide, including the increasing of phosphatidylcholine (PC) (12:0e/16:0), PC (18:0/20:4), CerG3 (d18:1/24:1), lysophosphatidylethanolamine (LPE) (18:0), phosphatidylinositol (PI) (19:0/20:4), lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC) (28:0), ChE (22:6), and the decreasing of phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) (16:1/17:0), PC (34:1) and PC (16:0p/18:0). Four key targets (PLA2G4A, LCAT, LRAT, and PLA2G2A) were discovered when combining network pharmacology and lipidomics. Among them, PLA2G2A and PLA2G4A were able to bind with parthenolide confirmed by molecular docking. CONCLUSIONS: The changed lipid profile and several significantly altered lipid species of parthenolide treated PTC cells were observed. These altered lipid species, such as PC (34:1), and PC (16:0p/18:0), may be involved in the antitumor mechanisms of parthenolide. PLA2G2A and PLA2G4A may play key roles when parthenolide treated PTC cells.

To clarify the impacts of long-term alfalfa plantation on the soil nematode community, soil samples were collected from different alfalfa growing ages (2 a, 9 a, 18 a) in the semi-arid area of Loess Plateau in Central Gansu by Illumina Miseq sequencing technology. The main controlling factors affecting its community change were also explored. The results showed that soil nematode belongs to 2 classes, 7 orders, 16 families and 21 genera. Among them, Chromadorea was the dominant group (44.6%-81.4%), the relative abundance of which decreased with alfalfa growing ages. Paratylenchus, Helicotylenchus, Xiphinema, Pristionchus, Ditylenchus, Panagrolaimus, Longidorus, Aprutides, Isolaimium and Aglenchus were the special nematode species of alfalfa, among which Paratylenchus (54.1%), Helicotylenchus (23.9%) and Xiphinema (21.9%) were the dominant nematodes in 2 a, 9 a and 18 a alfalfa soil respectively. Plant-parasitic nematode was the dominant group in alfalfa soil (31.8%-67.1%), and its relative abundance decreased at first and then increased with alfalfa growing ages. Results of redundancy analysis showed that soil available phosphorus and total nitrogen were the dominant environmental factors affecting community structure of soil nematodes in the region.

Under the guidance of the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) theory of "Zangfu-organs of spleen and stomach" and the modern theory of "microbiota-gut-brain axis", this study explored the effects of Nardostachys jatamansi on the gut microbiota of rats with Parkinson's disease(PD). The 40 SD rats were randomly divided into the control group, PD model group, levodopa group, and Nardostachys jatamansi ethanol extract group. The PD model was established by subcutaneous injection of rotenone in the neck and back area. After 14 days of intragastric administration, the PD rats' behaviors were analyzed through open field test, inclined plane test, and pole test. After the behavioral tests, the striatum, colon, and colon contents of rats in each group were collected. Western blot was employed to detect the protein expression of tyrosine hydroxylase(TH) and α-synuclein(α-syn) in striatum and that of α-syn in colon. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) was used to detect the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), interleukin-1ß(IL-1ß), and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB) in striatum and colon. High-throughput sequencing of 16 S rRNA gene was conducted to detect the differences in microbial diversity, abundance, differential phyla, and dominant bacteria of rats between groups. The results indicated that Nar. ethanol extract could relieve dyskinesia, reverse the increased levels of α-syn, TNF-α, IL-1ß, and NF-κB in striatum, and improve the protein expression of TH in striatum of PD rats. The α diversity analysis indicated a significant decrease in diversity and abundance of gut microbiota in the PD model. The results of linear discriminant analysis effect size(LEfSe) of dominant bacteria indicated that Nardostachys jatamansi ethanol extract increased the relative abundance of Clotridiaceae, Lachnospiraceae, and Anaerostipes, and reversed the increased relative abundance of Proteobacteria, Gammaproteobacteria, Enterobacteriaceae, and Escherichia-Shigella in PD model group to exhibit the neuroprotective effect. In summary, the results indicated that Nar. ethanol extract exert the therapeutic effect on PD rats. Specifically, the extract may regulate gut microbiota, decrease the levels of proinflammatory cytokines, and reduce the protein aggregation of α-syn in the colon and striatum to alleviate intestinal inflammation and neuroinflammation. This study provides a basis for combining the theory of "Zangfu-organs of spleen and stomach" with the theory of "microbiota-gut-brain axis" to treat PD.

Objective:To analyze the staff salary status and the influencing factors in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) hospitals implementing the salary system reform in Sichuan province in 2020, for reference in optimizing the salary system reform of such hospitals.Methods:Cluster sampling and institutional survey were used to collect the salary information of 26 TCM hospitals in 21 cities(prefectures)of Sichuan province implementing the salary system reform in 2020. Such information was then subject to descriptive analysis, while the influencing factors of salary were subject to one-way analysis of variance and generalized linear model multifactor analysis.Results:15 428 staff from 26 TCM hospitals were included as the research objects. In 2020, personnel expenditure accounted for 40.23% of the total expenditure, and 24.34% of which came from financial subsidy in 26 TCM hospitals. The average annual payable income per person was(149 312±74 288)yuan, 67.82% of which being performance pay. Analysis of variance showed that there were significant differences among the salary levels of staff in different economic regions, hospital grades, hospital levels, gender, educational background, position, seniority, performance pay ratio, employment in the government system and other natures, senior and other professional titles, doctors and other positions( P<0.05), and the differences were still statistically significant after adjustment by generalized linear model( P<0.05). Conclusions:The reform of the salary system of Sichuan TCM Hospitals has basically achieved equal pay for equal work, and the income of low-level personnel has been improved. However, the salary level was not very motivated and the salary structure was not guaranteed. It is necessary to strengthen financial precision subsidies, increase the proportion of personnel expenditure, so as to support the increase of the absolute value of salary in non-core economic areas, improve the salary structure, reasonably widen the salary gap among different educational backgrounds and positions, further optimize internal distribution, and ensure the sustainable development of Chinese medicine talents.

BACKGROUND: Cerebral palsy (CP) is a neurodevelopmental disorder caused by a brain injury resulting in poor coordination and motor control deficits, which is one of the most common physical disabilities in children. CP brings a heavy burden on families and society and becomes a significant public health issue. In recent years, hydrotherapy, and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) as a physical therapy for CP is developing rapidly. When hydrotherapy and tDCS are used to treat separately, it has positive therapeutic effect in children with CP. The development of new therapies in combination with physical rehabilitation approaches is critical to optimize functional outcomes. tDCS has attracted interest in this context, because of significant functional improvements have been demonstrated in individuals with brain injuries after a short period of cerebral stimulation. Since the onset of this work, tDCS has been used in combination with constraint-induced therapy, virtual reality therapy to potentiate the treatment effect. Up to now, there are no studies on the effect of a combined application of hydrotherapy and tDCS in children with CP. We will conduct a 2-arm parallel clinical trial to investigate the effect of a combined application of tDCS and hydrotherapy. METHODS AND ANALYSIS: This study is an outcome assessor and data analyst-blinded, randomized, controlled superiority trial during the period from October 2021 to December 2023. CP patients meeting the inclusion criteria will be allocated in a 1:1 ratio into the treatment group (hydrotherapy plus tDCS), or the control group (treatment as usual). All participants will receive 30 sessions of treatment over 10 weeks. The primary outcomes will be the difference in the Gross Motor Function Assessment and Pediatric Balance Scale during rest and activity. The secondary outcomes will be the difference in adverse effects between the control and treatment groups. CONCLUSIONS: This study aims to estimate the efficacy of a combined application of tDCS and hydrotherapy in patients with CP. TRIAL REGISTRATION: This study protocol was registered in Chinese ClinicalTrials.gov, ID: ChiCTR2100047946.

PURPOSE: Through the method of network pharmacology, the active components and targets of Shenqi Wan (SQW) were excavated, the relationship with novel Coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) was discussed, and the possible mechanism of SQW in the treatment of COVID-19 was revealed from the aspects of multicomponents, multitargets, and multipathways. METHODS: Firstly, the active components of SQW were screened from traditional Chinese medicine systems pharmacology database and analysis platform and the 2020 edition of Chinese Pharmacopeia, and the related targets of the components were obtained. Then the disease targets related to COVID-19 were screened from GeneCards and Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man. Venny was used to map the relationship between component-target and disease-target, and String was used to analyze the interaction of common targets. The network was constructed and analyzed by Cytoscape, the function of Gene ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) genes was enriched by Metascape, and the molecular docking was verified by CB-Dock. RESULTS: Finally, 45 active components of SQW were obtained, and 72 potential targets were related to COVID-19, angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), interleukin (IL)-6, nitric oxide synthase (NOS3) and, C-reactive protein (CRP),may be the key targets. GO enrichment of 1715 projects, such as lipopolysaccharide stress response, active oxygen metabolism, positive regulation of cell migration, and other GO enrichment. About 136 KEGG pathways, tumor necrosis factor signaling pathway, IL-17 signaling pathway, hypoxia-inducible factor 1-α signaling pathway were obtained. Molecular docking showed that kaempferol, quercetin, luteolin, astragaloside, calyx isoflavone glucoside, matrine, and other COVID-19-related targets such as ACE2, chymotrypsin-like protease (3CLpro), papain-like protease (PLpro), prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 2 (PTGS2) have good binding ability. CONCLUSION: According to the above results, it is suggested that SQW may play a role in the treatment of COVID-19 by directly or indirectly combining kaempferol, quercetin, and luteolin with ACE2, 3CLpro, PLpro, and PTGS2 to regulate multiple biological functions and signaling pathways.

This article aims to establish the fingerprints, determine the hemostatic pharmacodynamic indicators, and explore the spectrum-effect relationship of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma in 12 different specifications. Firstly, HPLC and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(LC-MS) were employed to establish the fingerprints of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma. The rat plasma recalcification experiment and the rat gastric bleeding experiment were conducted to determine the pharmacodynamic indicators, including plasma recalcification time(PRT), thrombin time(TT), prothrombin time(PT), and activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT). Afterwards, the partial least squares method was employed to explore the spectrum-effect relationship of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma in different specifications. Twenty-six common peaks were detected in the HPLC fingerprints of different specifications of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma, and 11 out of the 26 common peaks represented saponins. The content of dencichine was determined by LC-MS. The rat experiments showed that the pharmacodynamic indicators were significantly different among different specifications of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma. The spectrum-effect relationship was explored between 27 common components and pharmacodynamic indicators. Among them, 16 components had positive effects on the pharmacodynamic indicators of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma, and 11 exerted negative effects. This study provides a basis for the precision medication and quality control of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma.

In this study, four different coal fly ashes (CFAs) were used as raw materials of silica and alumina for the preparation of the alumina-containing Mobil Composition of Matter No. 41 (Al-MCM-41) and the exploration of an activation strategy that is efficient and universal for various CFAs. Alkaline hydrothermal and alkaline fusion activations proceeded at different temperatures to determine the best treatment parameters. We controlled the pore structure and surface hydroxyl density of the CFA-derived Al-MCM-41 by changing the crystallization temperature and aging time. The products were characterized by small-angle X-ray diffraction, nitrogen isotherms, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, 29Si silica magic-angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance, and transmission electron microscopy, and they were then grafted with thiol groups to remove Pb(II) from aqueous solutions. This paper innovatively evaluates the CFA activation strategies using energy consumption analysis and determines the optimal activation methodology and parameters. This paper also unveils the effect of the crystallization condition of Al-MCM-41 on its subsequent Pb(II) removal capacity. The results show that the appropriate selection of crystallization parameters can considerably increase the removal capacity over Pb(II), providing a new path to tackle the ever-increasing concern of aquic heavy-metal pollution.

This article aims to establish the fingerprints, determine the hemostatic pharmacodynamic indicators, and explore the spectrum-effect relationship of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma in 12 different specifications. Firstly, HPLC and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(LC-MS) were employed to establish the fingerprints of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma. The rat plasma recalcification experiment and the rat gastric bleeding experiment were conducted to determine the pharmacodynamic indicators, including plasma recalcification time(PRT), thrombin time(TT), prothrombin time(PT), and activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT). Afterwards, the partial least squares method was employed to explore the spectrum-effect relationship of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma in different specifications. Twenty-six common peaks were detected in the HPLC fingerprints of different specifications of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma, and 11 out of the 26 common peaks represented saponins. The content of dencichine was determined by LC-MS. The rat experiments showed that the pharmacodynamic indicators were significantly different among different specifications of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma. The spectrum-effect relationship was explored between 27 common components and pharmacodynamic indicators. Among them, 16 components had positive effects on the pharmacodynamic indicators of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma, and 11 exerted negative effects. This study provides a basis for the precision medication and quality control of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma.

BACKGROUND: To investigate anti myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury (MIRI) action of total flavones of Fructus Chorspondiatis (TFFC) in rats by 13N-ammonia micro PET/CT imaging, etc. METHODS: Male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 6 groups. Micro PET/CT imaging was performed before and after modeling to calculate the volume (VOI) and SUVmean of myocardial ischemic area. The oxidative stress index [(superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA)] and the marker enzymes [creatine kinase (CK), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH)] of myocardial injury were detected. The pathological changes of myocardial were observed via HE staining. A MIRI model of rat cardiomyocytes in vitro was established, the damage and apoptosis of myocardial cells in each group were observed, and the apoptosis rate of cardiomyocytes was detected. RESULTS: The imaging viscosities of the imaging agents were observed at 24 and 48 h in each group. The VOI of 24 h imaging was (6.33±2.02), (6.01±1.56) and (3.32±0.86) mm3, respectively. The VOI of 48 h imaging was (3.31±1.33), (2.61±1.01) and (1.32±0.58) mm3. The 72 h imaging medium and high dose group recovered, while the low dose group still saw sparseness with (1.26±0.68) mm3 VOI. The ischemic (SUVmean) gradually increased with time. Metabolism gradually recovered (F=121.82, 450.82, 435.75, P<0.05). The three doses of TFFC can eliminate free radicals and reduce the damage of myocardial injury. Amongst them, the high-dose group had a better effect on SOD, and the middle-dose group had a better effect on MDA and LDH. The low-dose group affected CK, and a significant difference was observed compared with the control group (P<0.05). After administration, the morphology of myocardial cells in each dose group was improved to some extent. Nuclear pyknosis, rupture, the apoptosis rate, etc. were significantly reduced, the number of cells increased. The high dose group showed the most obvious improvement. CONCLUSIONS: The PET/CT imaging method can detect non-invasive, in vivo and dynamic MIRI, and can accurately evaluate the protective effect of traditional Mongolian medicine TFFC on MIRI. The Anti-MIRI of TFFC can scavenge free radicals, reduce oxidative stress damage, inhibit apoptosis, affect the activity of related enzymes.

Sono-photodynamic therapy (SPDT) activates the same photo-/sonosensitizer and exerts more marked antitumor effects than sonodynamic therapy or photodynamic therapy. We aimed to explore the utilization of curcumin (CUR)-loaded poly(L-lactide-co-glycolide) microbubble (MB)-mediated SPDT (CUR-PLGA-MB-SPDT) in HepG2 liver cancer cells. The cytotoxicity and intracellular accumulation of CUR were determined. We used 40 µM CUR as the photo-/sonosensitizer for 3 h. In a comparison of CUR-SDT or CUR-PDT, HepG2 cell viability decreased and apoptotic rate increased in CUR-SPDT. The CUR-PLGA MBs had round spheres with smooth surfaces and an average size of 3.7 µm. In CUR-PLGA MBs, drug entrapment efficiency and drug-loading capacity were 74.29 ± 2.60% and 17.14 ± 0.60%, respectively. CUR-loaded PLGA MBs (CUR-PLGA MBs) had good biocompatibility with normal L02 cells and were almost non-cytotoxic to HepG2 cells. Among CUR-SDT, CUR-PDT, CUR-SPDT or CUR-PLGA-MB-SDT, the cell CUR-PLGA-MB-SPDT had the lowest viability. Transmission electron microscopy revealed pyroptosis and apoptosis in the CUR-PLGA-MB-SPDT group; the potential mechanism was related to the mitochondrial membrane potential loss and increased production of intracellular reactive oxygen species. These findings suggested that CUR-PLGA-MB-SPDT may be a promising treatment for liver cancer.

Bioassay-guided fractionation of the ethanol extract of whole herbs of Achillea alpina led to the isolation of isochlorogenic acids A and B as transient receptor potential vanilloid 3 (TRPV3) channel antagonists by using a calcium fluorescent assay. The structures were identified by spectroscopic analysis and the inhibitory activities of isochlorogenic acids A and B were confirmed by whole-cell patch clamp recordings of human embryonic kidney 293 (HEK293) cells expressing human TRPV3. Molecular docking results revealed that these two compounds reside in the same active pocket of human TRPV3 channel protein with lower binding energy than the agonist 2-aminoethoxydiphenyl borate (2-APB). High-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC) coupled with a liquid-liquid extraction approach was successfully established for the separation of isochlorogenic acids A and B from the whole herbs of A. alpina. Ethyl acetate and n-hexane-ethyl acetate-water (3:3:4 and 1:5:4, v/v/v) were selected as liquid-liquid extraction solvent systems to remove high- and low-polarity impurities in the mixture. Sixty g of ethanol extract was refined by solvent partition to yield 1.7 g of the enriched fraction, of which 480 mg in turn obtained 52.5 mg of isochlorogenic acid B (purity 98.3%) and 37.6 mg isochlorogenic acid A (purity 96.2%) after HSCCC with n-hexane-ethyl acetate-water containing 1% acetic acid (1:4:8, v/v/v).

Moringa oleifera Lam. (MO) is called the "Miracle Tree" because of its extensive pharmacological activity. In addition to being an important food, it has also been used for a long time in traditional medicine in Asia for the treatment of chronic diseases such as diabetes and obesity. In this study, by constructing a library of MO phytochemical structures and using Discovery Studio software, compounds were subjected to virtual screening and molecular docking experiments related to their inhibition of dipeptidyl peptidase (DPP-IV), an important target for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. After the four-step screening process, involving screening for drug-like compounds, predicting the absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity (ADME/T) of pharmacokinetic properties, LibDock heatmap matching analysis, and CDOCKER molecular docking analysis, three MO components that were candidate DPP-IV inhibitors were identified and their docking modes were analyzed. In vitro activity verification showed that all three MO components had certain DPP-IV inhibitory activities, of which O-Ethyl-4-[(α-l-rhamnosyloxy)-benzyl] carbamate (compound 1) had the highest activity (half-maximal inhibitory concentration [IC50] = 798 nM). This study provides a reference for exploring the molecular mechanisms underlying the anti-diabetic activity of MO. The obtained DPP-IV inhibitors could be used for structural optimization and in-depth in vivo evaluation.

To establish the HPLC-ELSD specific chromatogram analysis method of Rehmanniae Radix and Rehmanniae Radix Prae-parata, and analyze and compare their chemical compositions, so as to reveal the change regularity of compositions during the proces-sing. By HPLC-ELSD method, the chromatographic column for Prevail Carbohydrate ES(4.6 mm ×250 mm, 5 μm) was adopted, with acetonitrile(A)-water(B) as mobile phase for gradient elution, and the evaporative light-scattering detector was used. A total of 23 batches of Rehmannia Radix samples, and 25 batches of Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata samples and processing dynamic samples were compared. The established method had a great repeatability, precision and stability. Eight common chromatographic peaks were extracted from 23 batches of Rehmanniae Radix samples, 8 common peaks were extracted from 25 Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, and 7 chromatographic peaks were identified. The composition ratio of Rehmannia Radix was changed greatly during the processing. When the simila-rity≥0.95 and the fructose peak area was more than 2 times of stachyose tetrahydrate or more than 20 times of raffinose, the processing degree conformed to the requirements of empirical identification. The three main oligosaccharides of Rehmanniae Radix were sucrose that was heated to generate fructose and glucose, stachyose tetrahydrate that was heated to generate melibiose, sucrose and fructose, and stachyose tetrahydrate that was heated to generate manninotriose. The change in the index of proportion between monosaccharides and oligosaccharides can be used as the quantitative criterion for the processing quality of Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata.

Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of Modified Qingqi Huatan Wan in treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and its effect on inflammatory reaction, airway remodeling and thrombokinesis. Method:A total of 80 patients of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) were randomly divided into control group (40 cases) and therapy group (40 cases) by random number table. The control group was treated with conventional therapy. In addition to the therapy for the control group, the patients in therapy group also received modified Qingqi Huatan Wan. The treatment course was 14 days for both groups. Scores of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndrome, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma physiology Score (CAPS), and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients self-assessment test questionnaire (CAT) were compared. The secondary indicators were pulmonary function, arterial blood gas analysis, and blood rheology indexes. In addition, the levels of serum nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB), interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-8 (IL-8), matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2), tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-2 (TIMP-2), transforming growth factor-beta1 (TGF-β1) and plasma tissue-plasminogen activator (t-PA), plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1), von-willebrand factor (v-WF), clinical efficacy and safety were evaluated. Result:The total clinical effective rate was 94.74% in therapy group,which was higher than 78.38% in control group (χ2=4.341,P2, serum NF-κB, IL-6, IL-8, MMP-2, TIMP-2, TGF-β1 and plasma PAI-1, v-WF in therapy group were lower than those in control group(P2, PaO2, FEV1, FEV1%, FEV1/FVC in therapy group were higher than those in control group(PPConclusion:Modified Qingqi Huatan Wan can control the symptoms safely, alleviate CAPS and lung function, effectively reduce the inflammatory response and inhibit the formation of airway remodeling and thrombosis, and its mechanism may be protect the lung tissue by reducing the level of inflammatory cytokines, regulating the balance of MMP-2/TIMP-2 and t-PA/PAI-1 and improving extracellular matrix and vascular endothelial function.

Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of modified Qingqi Huatan Wan in treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (syndrome of phlegm-heat obstructing lung) and investigate its effects on serum tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α),interleukin-8(IL-8) and matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9).Method: Sixty-four patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) were randomly divided into control group (32 cases) and treatment group (32 cases) by random number table.The control group was treated with routine western medicine therapy according to the guidance and disease conditions.Based on treatment in control group,patients in treatment group also received modified Qingqi Huatan Wan.The treatment course was 14 days for both groups.The scores of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) assessment test (CAT),and modified version of the British Medical Research Council's Respiratory Questionnaire (mMRC),pulmonary function,blood gas analysis indicators,levels of serum TNF-α,IL-8 and MMP-9,clinical efficacy and safety were evaluated and compared once before treatment and 14 d after treatment.Result: The total clinical effective rate was 96.67% in treatment group,higher than 76.67% in control group (χ2=5.192,PPP1),percent of FEV1 in predicted value (FEV1%),and ratio of FEV1 to forced vital capacity (FEV1/FVC) were increased in both groups after treatment (PP2) and partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2) were increased in both groups,while partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO2) was decreased (P2 and PaO2 in treatment group were higher than those in control group,while PaCO2 was lower than that in control group (Pα,IL-8 and MMP-9 were decreased in both groups (PPConclusion: Modified Qingqi Huatan Wan can control the symptoms safely and ameliorate pulmonary function,reduce the levels of serum TNF-α,IL-8,MMP-9 and inflammation in treatment of AECOPD.
