[Stellectomy in patients with ischemic heart disease and only slightly changed coronary arteries]. / Operatsiia stelléktomii u bol'nykh ishemicheskoi bolezn'iu serdtsa pri maloizmenennykh koronarnykh arteriiakh.

A group of coronary patients were identified who coronarographically showed no or only minor lesions of main coronary arteries (hemodynamically insignificant stenosis of up to 50% of vascular lumen). The results of stellectomy performed in 71 such patients are reported. To achieve good surgical results, primary focus should be on accurate diagnosis of coronary disease using specialized techniques: coronary arterial scanning to assess myocardial microcirculation, and the measurement of lactic acid arterial-venous difference under atrial electrostimulation to assess metabolic manifestations of myocardial ischemia. With adequate selection of patients, precise determination of indications and adherence to the surgical procedure described, early post-operative results were good in 94.37% and late results in 73.22% of the patients.

[Pharmacological and clinical study of the liquid drug form of nonachlazine]. / Farmakologicheskoe i klinicheskoe issledovanie zhidkoi lekarstvennoi formy nonakhlazina.

A 1.5% nonachlazin solution containing substances which promote its absorption from the gastrointestinal tract increases coronary blood flow in cats 2--3 minutes after its administration into the stomach. After single administration this solution arrests a developing attack of angina pectoris in patients, improves the findings of spiroergometry, and in regular (3 times daily) medication prevents attacks of angina pectoris or makes them occurs less frequently in the very first 24 hours. The solution is most effective in patients with a high or moderate coronary reserve and affection of one or, in a lesser degree, of two coronary arteries. The solution does not cause a drop in arterial pressure, headache or dizziness.
