RESUMEN

The aim of research - to assess the feasibility and effectiveness, of the intraosseous method of anesthesia, with the Quick Sleeper injection system on the toothless area of the alveolar bone during dental implantation. Clinical and physiological studies were conducted to study the features of performing intraosseous anesthesia on the site of alveolar bone adentia in the absence of the usual anatomical topographic landmarks. New computer technologies, as well as modern methods of patient examination and observation were used. The results of the analysis confirmed the advantages of intraosseous anesthesia compared with alternative methods of local anesthesia during dental implantation. The advantages of the intraosseous method of anesthesia are characterized, the features of conducting, the anatomical guidelines have been indicated for an effective intraosseous anesthesia in the area of the alveolar bone adentia, during dental implantation.

RESUMEN

Needle breakage may be a damaging experience for both medical practitioners and patients. Medical literature provides numerous cases of dental practitioners being confronted with this problem. We have studied the clinical case of the patient L. at the Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry involving needle breakage during conductive anesthesia. We propose our medical approach to solving this issue alongside with a desirable course of action, providing additional recommendations and suggesting intraosseous anesthesia as a safer type of pain management.

RESUMEN

A group of authors presents the rationale for local anesthesia selection in patients with concomitant disease based on case history; interaction analysis of drugs with local anesthetic and sedation agents; estimation of patient functional status; patient anxiety correction; dental care with hemodynamics monitoring. It was found that adhering to this algorithm promotes the prevention of urgent conditions in outpatient settings.

RESUMEN

The paper presents basic principles of local anesthesia selection in patients with concomitant somatic diseases. These principles are history taking; analysis of drugs interaction with local anesthetic and sedation agents; determination of the functional status of the patient; patient anxiety correction; dental care with monitoring of hemodynamics parameters. It was found that adhering to this algorithm promotes prevention of urgent conditions in patients in outpatient dentistry.

RESUMEN

The study involved 153 patients (92 females, 61 males aged 30-75 years) with arterial pressure from 120/80 to 180/100 mm Hg. The role of dentist in primary diagnosis of hypertension was identified. The study highlights the need for functional status assessment before dental treatment and the importance of safe and effective local anesthesia for the patients with arterial hypertension. The paper presents rationale for the choice of local anesthetic agent for these patients.
