RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: To create the hierarchical model for the comparison of efficacy of different ATs for schizophrenia. METHODS: PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, The Cochrane Library, ClinicalTrials, China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database, China Science and Technology Journal Database, Wanfang Database, and SinoMed were searched using a specified search strategy to identify relevant studies up to December 2021. The data were extracted independently by two reviewers. The quality of included trials was evaluated based on the guidelines of "Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions". Bayesian network meta-analysis was conducted by statistical analysis software Addis 1.16.6 and Stata 15.1. RESULTS: In total, 60 randomized controlled trials covering 4810 patients were enrolled. The network meta-analysis result showed that Body Acupuncture (BA), BA + Electro-acupuncture (EA), Scalp Acupuncture (SA) + EA, Auricular Acupuncture (AA), Low-dose medication and Acupuncture (LA), Acupoint Injection (AI), and Acupoint Catgut Embedding (ACE), when combined with Western Medications (WM), demonstrated a better clinical effect at improving the symptoms of schizophrenia, compared to WM alone. Results of rank probability showed that BA, when combined with WM, was the most optimal AT for schizophrenia at decreasing three aspects of PANSS scale score. CONCLUSIONS: Acupuncture-related therapies help improve the symptoms of schizophrenia, and BA combined with WM may be a better therapy for schizophrenia. This study has been registered on the "PROSPERO" website, and the registration number is CRD42021227403.

RESUMEN

Emodin is a natural anthraquinone compound, which is the main component found in the traditional Chinese herb Polygonum cuspidatum. The anti-fibrosis effects of Emodin have been reported. This study aimed to explore the specific mechanism of Emodin in the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of pulmonary fibrosis. The pulmonary fibrosis mice models were constructed with bleomycin, the EMT models of alveolar epithelial cells were stimulated by TGF-ß1, and Emodin was used for intervention. c-MYC and miR-182-5p were overexpressed or silenced by cell transfection. Our results demonstrated that Emodin attenuated pulmonary fibrosis induced by bleomycin in mice, and inhibited EMT, meanwhile downregulated c-MYC, upregulated miR-182-5p, and downregulated ZEB2 in vitro and vivo. Next, overexpression of c-MYC promoted EMT, while silencing c-MYC and overexpressing miR-182-5p inhibited EMT. Then, c-MYC negatively regulated the expression of miR-182-5p with a direct binding relationship. And miR-182-5p inhibited ZEB2 expression in a targeted manner. Finally, Emodin inhibited EMT that had been promoted by overexpression of c-MYC. In conclusion, Emodin could attenuate pulmonary fibrosis and EMT by regulating the c-MYC/miR-182-5p/ZEB2 axis, which might provide evidence for the application of Emodin in the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis.

RESUMEN

Objective: To understand the depression status and its influencing factors in elderly patients with MS in China and to explore the correlation between various components of elderly MS and depression. Methods: This study is based on the "Prevention and Intervention of Key Diseases in Elderly" project. We used a multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method to complete 16 199 elderly aged 60 years and above in 16 counties (districts) in Liaoning, Henan, and Guangdong Provinces in 2019, excluding 1 001 missing variables. Finally, 15 198 valid samples were included for analysis. The respondents' MS disease was obtained through questionnaires and physical examinations, and the respondents' depression status within the past half month was assessed using the PHQ-9 Depression Screening Scale. The correlation between elderly MS and its components and depression and its influencing factors were analyzed by logistic regression. Results: A total of 15 198 elderly aged 60 years and above were included in this study, with the prevalence of MS at 10.84% and the detection rate of depressive symptoms in MS patients at 25.49%. The detection rates of depressive symptoms in patients with 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 MS abnormal group scores were 14.56%, 15.17%, 18.01%, 25.21%, and 26.65%, respectively. The number of abnormal components of MS was positively correlated with the detection rate of depressive symptoms, and the difference between groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). The risk of depression symptoms in patients with MS, overweight/obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia was 1.73 times (OR=1.73, 95%CI:1.51-1.97), 1.13 times (OR=1.13, 95%CI:1.03-1.24), 1.25 times (OR=1.25, 95%CI:1.14-1.38), 1.41 times (OR=1.41, 95%CI:1.24-1.60), 1.81 times (OR=1.81,95%CI:1.61-2.04), respectively, more than those without the disease. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the detection rate of depressive symptoms in patients with sleep disorders was higher than that with normal sleep (OR=4.89, 95%CI: 3.79-6.32). The detection rate of depressive symptoms in patients with cognitive dysfunction was 2.12 times higher than that in the average population (OR=2.12, 95%CI: 1.56-2.89). The detection rate of depressive symptoms in patients with impaired instrumental activities of daily living (IADL) was 2.31 times (OR=2.31, 95%CI: 1.64-3.26) higher than that in the average population. Tea drinking (OR=0.73, 95%CI: 0.54-0.98) and physical exercise (OR=0.67, 95%CI: 0.49-0.90) seemed to be protective factors for depression in elderly MS patients (P<0.05). Conclusions: Older patients with MS and its component abnormalities have a higher risk of depression than the average population. Sleep disorders, cognitive impairment, and IADL impairment are important influencing factors for depression in elderly MS patients, while tea drinking and physical exercise may help to reduce the risk of the disease.

RESUMEN

Objective:To explore any effects of combining virtual reality training with aromatherapy in caring for Alzheimer′s disease patients in a nursing home. Methods:Fifty nursing home residents with Alzheimer′s were divided at random into an observation group and a control group, each of 25. Both groups received routine rehabilitation, while the observation group was additionally given 45 minutes of virtual reality training combined with aromatherapy, 3 times a week for 6 months. Both groups′ cognition was then evaluated using the MMSE and an Alzheimer′s cognition assessment scale (ADAS-cog). Psycho-behavioral symptoms were quantified using the Alzheimer′s disease pathological behavior scale (BEHAVE-AD). Motor functioning was quantified using the timed up and go test (TUGT), the 30-second sit-to-stand test (30sCST), the 30-second arm curl test (30sACT) and the sit-and-reach test (CSRT). Ability in the activities of daily living (ADL) and life quality were quantified using the activity of daily living scale and of the quality of life scale for Alzheimer′s disease (QOL-AD) before and after the intervention. Results:After the intervention the average MMSE, ADAS-cog, BEHAVE-AD and ADL scores of both groups had improved significantly, with the average improvement in the observation group significantly greater than that in the control group. The TUGT, 30sCST, 30sACT and CSRT results of both groups were also significantly better, with those of the observation group again significantly superior, on average, to the control group′s results. The average QOL-AD score in the observation was significantly improved after the intervention, and was then significantly better than the control group′s average. Conclusions:Virtual reality training combined with aromatherapy can significantly improve the cognition, psycho-behavioral symptoms, activity in daily living, motor functioning and life quality of Alzheimer′s patients in a nursing home. It is worthy of promotion and application in nursing homes.

RESUMEN

【Objective】 We combined the concept of traditional medicine with magnetic induction technology, originally brought up the research concept of magnetic hyperthermia to cure KOA, explored the mechanism and constructed a new treatment of KOA with modern medical features. 【Methods】 Through establishing a primary KOA model in rats and constructing ferrimagnetic vortex domain iron oxide nanorings (FVIOs) as a platform for highly efficient magnetic hyperthermia agent, the lesions of KOA were heated accurately under the low-intensity magnetic field. We confirmed the curative effect through the results of pain perception, histopathology, knee joint morphology and microscopic bone structure and the content of serum inflammatory factor, to study the therapeutic mechanism of magnetic hyperthermia for KOA. 【Results】 Compared with the model group, the recovery of mechanical pain threshold after magnetic hyperthermia improved by approximately 48.9%; the degree of hyperemia and edema of joint capsule and synovial tissue and the wear degree of joint cartilage surface, were significantly reduced; the Mankin and OARSI scores decreased by about 33% and 20%, respectively; the MicroCT results indicated that the degree of hardening of the subchondral bone also improved; the expression of inflammatory factors in the serum was reduced. 【Conclusion】 In this study, we utilized the FVIOs as a high-efficiency magnetic hyperthermia platform for the treatment of KOA. The efficacy of magnetic hyperthermia on KOA is clarified, and the mechanism is related to the inhibition of inflammatory factors.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of acupotomy on inhibiting abnormal formation of subchondral bone in rabbits with knee osteoarthritis (KOA). METHODS: A total of 24 New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into four groups of 6 rabbits each [control, model, electroacupuncture (EA) and acupotomy]. Eighteen KOA model rabbits were established using a modified Videman method. Rabbits in EA and acupotomy groups received the intervention for 3 weeks. Then, the cartilage and subchondral bone unit were obtained and the histomorphological changes were recorded. Osteo-protegerin (OPG) and receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand (RANKL) in subchondral bone were evaluated by Western blotting, real-time polymerase chain reaction and immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: Compared with the model group, both the acupotomy and EA groups showed a significant decrease in the Lequesne index (both 0.01) and Mankin score ( 0.01, < 0.05). In addition, both EA and acupotomy groups had a higher expression of total articular cartilage (TAC) ( 0.05, < 0.01) and lower expression of articular calcified cartilage (ACC)/TAC ( 0.05, < 0.05) compared with the model group. The thickness of the subchondral bone plate in EA and acupotomy groups were decreased (both 0.01) compared to the model group. Moreover, trabecular bone volume (BV/TV), protein and relative expression of OPG and the ratio of OPG/RANKL in the subchondral bone of acupotomy group were decreased statistically significant, while these parameters were not significantly changed in the EA group compared with the model group. CONCLUSIONS: In the rabbit model of KOA, acupotomy inhibits aberrant formation of subchondral bone by suppressing OPG/RANKL ratio as a potential therapy for KOA.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE@#To observe the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) at "Zusanli" (ST 36) on duodenal mast cells, nerve growth factor (NGF) and neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor type 1 (NTRK1), and to explore the mechanism of electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST 36) on functional dyspepsia (FD).@*METHODS@#Sixty SPF-grade 10-day-old SD rats were randomly divided into a normal group, a model group, a ketotifen group and an EA group, 15 rats in each group. The FD model was prepared by iodoacetamide combined with rat tail clamping method in the model group, the ketotifen group and the EA group. The rats in the ketotifen group were injected intraperitoneally with ketotifen (1 mg•kg-1•d-1) for 7 days; the rats in the EA group were treated with EA at bilateral "Zusanli" (ST 36), with disperse-dense wave, frequency of 2 Hz/50 Hz and intensity of 0.5 mA, 20 min each time, once a day for 14 days. The gastric emptying rate and small intestinal propulsion rate in each group were observed; the morphology of duodenal mucosa was observed by HE staining; the toluidine blue staining was used to observe the number and degranulation of mast cells in duodenal mucosa; the protein and mRNA expressions of NGF, NTRK1 in duodenum were detected by Western blot and real-time PCR; the level of interleukin-1β (IL-1β) in duodenum was measured by ELISA.@*RESULTS@#Compared with the normal group, the gastric emptying rate and small intestinal propulsion rate in the model group were decreased (P<0.01); compared with the model group, the gastric emptying rate and small intestinal propulsion rate in the ketotifen group and the EA group were increased (P<0.01); the small intestinal propulsion rate in the EA group was higher than that in the ketotifen group (P<0.01). In the model group, local defects in duodenal mucosa were observed with a small amount of inflammatory cell infiltration; no obvious abnormality was found in duodenal mucosa of the other groups. Compared with the normal group, the mast cells of duodenal mucosa in the model group were increased significantly with significant degranulation; compared with the model group, the mast cells of duodenal mucosa in the ketotifen group and the EA group were decreased significantly, and the degranulation was not obvious. Compared with the normal group, the protein and mRNA expressions of NGF, NTRK1 as well as the level of IL-1β in duodenum in the model group were increased (P<0.01); compared with the model group, the protein and mRNA expressions of NGF, NTRK1 as well as the levels of IL-1β in duodenum in the ketotifen group and the EA group were decreased (P<0.01, P<0.05); compared with the ketotifen group, the mRNA expression of NGF, as well as the protein and mRNA expressions of NTRK1 in duodenum in the EA group were decreased (P<0.05, P<0.01).@*CONCLUSION@#EA at "Zusanli" (ST 36) could inhibit the activation of duodenal mast cells and regulate the expressions of NGF and its receptor to improve the low-grade inflammatory response of duodenum, resulting in treatment effect on FD.

RESUMEN

ObjectiveTo predict the pharmacodynamic basis and core target of Shengxiantang in the treatment of myasthenia gravis (MG) by network pharmacology and molecular docking and to further verify the molecular mechanism through animal experiment. MethodThe active components and potential targets of Shengxiantang were retrieved from Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform (TCMSP), and the disease-related targets from GeneCards and other databases. Then the common targets of the decoction and the disease were screened out, followed by the construction of protein-protein interaction (PPI) network, and Gene Ontology (GO) term enrichment and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment of the common targets based on STRING database and Cytoscape 3.8.2. Afterward, Cytoscape 3.8.2 was employed to construct the disease-active component-target network. AutoDock and PyMOL were used for molecular docking of key components and hub genes. Finally, we used the Rα97-116 peptide to induce experimental autoimmune myasthenia gravis (EAMG) in rats and then verified the core target yielded in the docking with the model rats. ResultA total of 655 disease-related targets, 118 active components of the decoction, 21 common targets of the disease and the decoction, and 3 hub genes were screened out. The common targets were mainly involved in the GO terms of regulation of active oxygen metabolism, positive regulation of protein transport, and positive regulation of protein localization, and the KEGG pathways of toll-like receptor signaling pathway, phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (Akt) signaling pathway, hypoxia inducible factor-1 (HIF-1) signaling pathway, and T cell receptor signaling pathway. The results of molecular docking showed that quercetin and Akt1 had the lowest and stable binding energy and interacted with each other through the amino acid residue LYS-30. Western blot demonstrated that Shengxiantang significantly inhibited the expression of p-Akt protein in the spleen of EAMG rats. ConclusionThe pharmacological mechanism of Shengxiantang in the treatment of MG may be that the main chemical components regulate the expression of the core protein Akt, and then may participate in and affect PI3K/Akt signaling pathways, laying a theoretical and experimental basis for further research.

RESUMEN

The morbidity and mortality of cancer have been on the rise, making it atop the list of human health threats. It has been a conundrum of global magnitude. As the side effects of chemotherapeutics seriously affect the life quality of cancer patients, it is urgent to find effective anti-cancer drugs with small toxic and side effects. In recent years, the anti-cancer effects of traditional Chinese medicine have attracted the interest of scholars. Owing to the improvement of medical research, an increasing number of anti-cancer components with small toxic and side effects have been extracted from traditional Chinese medicine. Rutin, a unique flavonoid in Chinese medicinals and many plants, proves to inhibit the proliferation of breast cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, and prostate cancer cells. In addition, rutin alone or in combination with other therapeutic drugs can regulate a variety of signaling pathways and signal mediators of inflammation, apoptosis, autophagy, and angiogenesis, thereby suppressing tumor progression. Moreover, it can also alleviate the drug resistance of tumors and the side effect of chemotherapeutics. Nevertheless, it is limited by the low bioavailability and low solubility, to which nano delivery system turns to be a solution. At the moment, the anti-cancer potential of rutin and the molecular targets of it against various cancers have not been summarized and comprehensively analyzed. Therefore, the authors retrieved articles on the anti-cancer effects of rutin in recent years, summed up the mechanisms and molecular targets, and discussed relevant drug delivery systems and the safety, aiming at laying a theoretical foundation for further development and application of the flavonoid.

RESUMEN

In order to increase the solubility of volatile oil from Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma, this study was to prepare self-nanoemulsion of volatile oil from Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma . The prescriptions were preliminarily screened by miscibility studies, excipient compatibility tests, and pseudo-ternary phase diagrams, and then the optimal formulation was obtained by using the Box-Behnken response surface method, with particle size and drug-loading rate as the indicators. The self-nanoemulsion prepared by optimal prescription was characterized and evaluated for dissolution. The results showed that the optimal prescription for this volatile oil self-nanoemulsion was as follows: 41.7% volatile oil, 46.8% Tween-80, and 11.5% PEG-400. The prepared self-nanoemulsion was clear and transparent, with drug-loading of (192.77±1.64) mg·g⁻¹, particle diameter of (53.20±0.94) nm, polydispersity index of 0.230± 0.013, and Zeta potential of (-12.2±0.7) mV. The dissolution of self-nanoemulsion was higher than that of volatile oil. In this research, volatile oil served as the oil phase in self-nanoemulsion, so the prescription was simpler and the drug loading rate was higher. The prepared self-nanoemulsion complied with the relevant quality requirements, providing a reference for the preparation of volatile oil formulations.

RESUMEN

Objective To investigate the expressions of octamer-binding transcription factor 4 (Oct4) and phosphorylated-protein kinase B (p-Akt) proteins in colorectal cancer and their clinical significances, in order to explore the roles of Oct4 and p-Akt in the staging and grading of colorectal cancer. Methods Immunohistochemical technique was used to examine the expression of Oct4 and p-Akt proteins in 78 cases of colorectal cancer in Wuxi Second Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Wuxi First People's Hospital from January 2011 to December 2016. Relationship between expressions of Oct4 and p-Akt proteins and clinicopathological parameters were analyzed. Results The positive rate of Oct4 in tumors was 74.36 % (58/78), which was obviously higher than that in normal tissues [35.90 % (20/78), χ2= 23.32, P < 0.01]; and the positive rate of p-Akt in tumors was 67.95 % (53/78), which was obviously higher than that in normal tissues[28.21 %(25/78),χ2=24.68,P <0.01].The double positive and negative expression rate of these two proteins accounted for 80.8 %(63/78), with a linear positive correlation (r= 0.455, P < 0.000 1). In 78 cases of colorectal cancer, the expression of Oct4 protein was correlated with histological grade, lymph node metastasis, and Duke staging (all P < 0.05), and the expression of p-Akt protein was correlated with histological grade and lymph node metastasis (both P < 0.05). The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the expression of Oct4 protein was related to histological grade and Duke staging(both P<0.05),and the expression of p-Akt protein was only related to lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). Conclusion The combined detection of Oct4 protein and p-Akt protein has reliable and important clinical significance for judging the histological grade, lymph node metastasis and Duke staging of colorectal cancer.

Objective@#To analyze the effect of NCCN (2015) risk stratification on prognosis of patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) .@*Methods@#Retrospective analysis of 258 patients with AML in CR (186 cases in CR1, 72 cases in CR2) who underwent allogeneic HSCT in our hospital between April 2012 and March 2015 according to NCCN (2015) risk stratification. Of them, 63 cases were classified as low risk, 112 cases intermediate risk and 83 cases high risk.@*Results@#①With the median follow up of 18 (5-41) months, two-year disease free surviva (DFS) in 258 patients was 78.0% (95% CI 60.4%-96.6%) . Two-year DFS in AML after transplantation was 78.6% (95% CI 61.0%-96.2%) in low risk, 76.0% (95% CI 84.0%-93.6%) in intermediate risk and 80.3% (95% CI 62.7%-97.9%) (P=0.886) in high risk groups respectively. ②Univariate analysis showed that DFS has no significant difference in patient age, the median disease course before HSCT, the WBC number at the beginning of the disease, blood routine and chromosomes examination before transplantation, extramedullary disease before transplantation, disease status before transplantation, conditioning regimen, donor type, donor and recipient sex, recipient blood type, transfused MNC number, transfused CD34+ cell number and transfused CD3+ cell number. DFS was significant lower in primary AML than that in secondary AML (P=0.006) and also lower in MRD positive than that in MRD negative (P=0.003) . The accumulative relapse was significant higher in CR2 compared to that in CR1 (P=0.046) . Accumulative non-relapse mortality (NRM) was significanlyt higher in secondary AML compared to that in primary AML (P=0.004) and also higher in MRD positive compared to that in MRD negative (P=0.010) . ③Multivariate analysis showed that MRD positive was the only significant factor in DFS and NRM.@*Conclusion@#Allo-HSCT treatment of AML CR patients could achieve a high efficacy, which is similar between CR1 and CR2 patients. There is no significant correlation between NCCN (2015) risk stratification and the prognosis of AML patients with allo-HSCT treatment. Pre-conditioning MRD status monitored by multiparameter flow cytometry was the only impact factor on DFS and NRM in allo-HSCT for CR-AML patients.

RESUMEN

Postoperative intra-abdominal adhesion is one of the most common complications in the postoperative period. Current remedies are very ineffective to prevent the pathological outcomes except steroid hormones. Rhynchophylline is deemed as a pharmacologically active component from traditional Oriental medicine Uncaria rhynchophylla (Miq.) Jacks. (Rubiaceae). This study was designed to investigate the preventative effect of rhynchophylline on the abdominal adhesions in rats. Rhynchophylline relieved the experimental abdominal adhesion and decreased the levels of interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in the blood serum in a dose-dependent manner. The levels of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) and connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) were reduced significantly in the peritoneal fluid. The potential mechanism of the activity is related to inhibition of the TGF-β1/Smad signaling pathway.

RESUMEN

Objective To analyze the relationship and genetic diversity of Stemona tuberosa in different populations. Methods ISSR molecular technique was be used to decipher the genetic diversity of S. tuberosa in South of the Yangtze River, The genetic relationships among different populations were analyzed based on software POPGEN32 and the DNA molecular dendrogram was structured according to the software NTSYSpc-2.10E. Results Seventy-four obvious bands of different S. tuberosa populations were amplified with seven suitable ISSR primers, 74 of them were polymorphic sites, and the percentage of polymorphism bands reached to 100%; Effective number of alleles (Ne) is 1.524 4, the average Nei's genetic diversity (He) index is 0.314 6, the average Shannon's information index is 0.478 6, the genetic distance among populations is 0-0.950 2, and the average distance is 0.416 3. Conclusion The study revealed that a relative high genetic diversity occurred in different populations of S. tuberosa, the genetic variation is related to geographical distance in different populations of S. tuberosa. The study will throw light on how to introduce and cultivate traditional Chinese medicinal plant, how to screen peculiar pyrrolidine alkaloids from S. tuberosa, and how to build to scientific standards and theoretical basis for traditional geo-authentic crude drug in China.

RESUMEN

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of the integration of Longji-Huoluo pill and mild manipulations Tuina therapy for the teenagers with lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion. Methods Eligible teenager patients with lumber intervertebral disc protrusion were randomly classified into two groups according to the single blind method and the treating sequence, 69 patients in the treatment group and 58 patients in the control group. The Longji-Huoluo pill and mild Tuina manipulations were adopted on the basis of the convertional treatment in the treatment group. While ibuprofen sustained release capsules and mecobalamin were given to the control group beside the convertional treatment. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. The CT examinations were applied before and after the treatments to observe the absorption of the prolapsed lumber intervertebral disc. The Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) was used to test the pain degree and to estimate the clinical effect. Results The VAS scores in the treatment group (4.03 ± 1.67 vs. 5.41 ± 1.55, t=10.121) and the control group (3.61 ± 1.34 vs. 5.96 ± 1.71, t=11.086) after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment (P<0.05). The sagittal diameters of the prominence in the treatment group (2.12 ± 1.89 mm vs. 4.62 ± 0.34 mm, t=2.281) after treatmentwas significantly lower than that before treatment (P<0.05). The total effective rate of the treatment group was 87.0%(60/69), and the control group was 72.4%(42/58). Statistical significance was detected on the difference of the two groups (U=1.913, P=0.043). Conclusions The integration of manipulations can effectively relieve the pain and can return the prominent disc. The therapeutic effect is considered equivalent to western medicine.
