Fatty acids (FAs) are essential molecules in all organisms and are involved in various physiological and pathophysiological processes. Pentafluorobenzyl bromide (PFBBr) is commonly used for FA derivatization for gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) quantification by chemical ionization (CI). While CI is the conventional ionization mode for PFBBr derivatization, the electron ionization (EI) source has also demonstrated efficacy in achieving satisfactory analytical performance for the analysis of PFB esters. In this study, we present a novel approach utilizing PFBBr-derivatization on a GC-EI-MS platform to quantitatively analyze a comprehensive range of 44 fatty acids (FAs) spanning from C2 to C24. The method's sensitivity, precision, accuracy, linearity, recovery, and matrix effect were rigorously validated against predetermined acceptance criteria. In comparison to the conventional CI ionization mode, the utilization of PFBBr-derivatization in GC-EI-MS exhibits a wider range of applications and achieves comparable sensitivity levels to the conventional CI platform. By using this method, we successfully quantified 44 FAs in plasma and feces samples from the mice with deoxynivalenol (DON)-induced kidney injury. Among these, the levels of most FA species were increased in the DON-exposure group compared with the control group. The orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) of all the tested FAs showed a visual separation of the two groups, indicating DON exposure resulted in a disturbance of the FA profile in mice. These results indicate that the established method by integration of GC-MS with PFBBr derivatization is an efficient approach to quantify the comprehensive FA profile, which includes short-, medium- and long-chain FAs. In addition, our study provides new insights into the mechanism underlying DON exposure-induced kidney injury.

The aim of this study was to investigate and confirm the properties of eggs produced by laying hens fed a diet consisting of pomegranate seed oil as a source of CLnA and flaxseed oil as a source of α-linolenic acid. The study involved determining the chemical composition of the eggs, including their fatty acid profile. The results showed that modifying the laying hens' feed composition resulted in eggs with high nutritional value, with a favorable change in their fatty acid profile. In most cases, the addition of linseed oil or pomegranate seed oil did not affect the physical and chemical properties of the eggs. However, the diet of laying hens had a positive effect on the fatty acid profile of the egg yolk. The presence of conjugated linolenic acid trienes in eggs produced by laying hens fed a modified diet makes them a potential source of these compounds for human consumption.

According to ancient Chinese books, bear grease has the effects of strengthening muscles and bones, which is beneficial for weakness, but there is relatively little research on it. Thus, the extraction of it is beneficial for compensating for research in this area. In this study, a uniform experimental design method was used to optimize the extraction process of bear grease by enzymatic hydrolysis extraction, and the extraction rate can reach 81.89% under optimized extraction conditions. Furthermore, the components of bear grease obtained by this study were analyzed by GC-MS, and the results showed that ursolic oil was rich in unsaturated fatty acids (67.51%), which was higher than that of the traditional method (66.92%). The composition of bear grease extracted by the enzymatic method was also better than that extracted by the traditional method. In addition, bear grease obtained in this study had the obvious activity of promoting hair growth. The length, weight, and number of hair follicles in the depilation area of mice in the high-dose group were significantly different from those in the blank group (p < 0.01). This study optimized the extraction process of bear grease and conducted a preliminary analysis of its fatty acid composition, which is expected to provide some reference for the development of the medicinal value of bear grease.

Aqueous enzymatic extraction (AEE) of macauba pulp oil (MPO) was performed in this study with five commercial enzymatic pools. The chemical, nutritional, and thermal properties of the oils with high oil efficiency by AEE were evaluated and compared with mechanical pressing (MP) and organic solvent extraction (SE). Among the AEE processes, the pectinase pool (at pH 5.5 and 50 °C) exhibited the highest process efficiency (88.6 %). The oils presented low acidity values (0.4-3.1 %) and low molar absorptivities, indicating minimal oil degradation. Bioactive compounds, such as carotenoids, were found in MPO. The iodine index and the fatty acid profile of the oils revealed a high content of unsaturated fatty acids, particularly oleic and linoleic acids, with excellent nutritional scores, as evidenced by anti-atherogenicity and anti-thrombogenicity indices. These findings emphasized that AEE is an eco-friendly approach for extracting high-quality MPO with beneficial health compounds for food products.

This study aimed to explore the effects of selenized glucose (SeGlu) and Na selenite supplementation on various aspects of laying hens such as production performance, egg quality, egg Se concentration, microbial population, antioxidant enzymes activity, immunological response, and yolk fatty acid profile. Using a 2 × 2 factorial design, 168 laying hens at 27-wk of age were randomly divided into 4 treatment groups with 7 replications. Se source (Na selenite and SeGlu) and Se level (0.3 and 0.6 mg/kg) were used as treatments. When 0.3 mg SeGlu/kg was compared to 0.3 mg Na selenite/kg, the interaction findings revealed that 0.3 mg SeGlu/kg increased egg production percent and shell ash (P < 0.05). When compared to 0.3 mg Na selenite/kg, dietary supplementation with 0.3 and 0.6 mg SeGlu/kg resulted in an increase in albumen height, Haugh unit, and yolk color of fresh eggs (P < 0.05). SeGlu enhanced albumen height, Haugh unit, shell thickness (P < 0.01), albumen index, yolk share, specific gravity, shell ash (P < 0.05) of fresh eggs and shell thickness (P < 0.05) of stored eggs as compared to Na selenite. The interaction showed that 0.6 mg SeGlu/kg enhanced yolk Se concentration while decreasing malondialdehyde levels in fresh egg yolk (P < 0.05). SeGlu enhanced Se concentration in albumen and glutathione peroxidase activity in plasma (P < 0.05) as compared to Na selenite. 0.6 mg Se/kg increased lactic acid bacteria, antibody response to sheep red blood cells, and lowered ∑n-6 PUFA/ ∑n-3 PUFA ratio (P < 0.05). As a result, adding SeGlu to the feed of laying hens enhanced egg production, egg quality, egg Se concentration, fresh yolk lipid oxidation, and glutathione peroxidase enzyme activity.

Nigella sativa L. (black cumin) is one of the most investigated medicinal plants in recent years. Volatile compounds like thymoquinone and unsaponifiable lipid compounds are crucial functional components of this oil. Unfortunately, the composition of oils and their quality indicators are ambiguous both in terms of identified compounds and value ranges. Thirteen oils were extracted with hexane from black cumin seeds grown in India, Syria, Egypt, and Poland and analyzed for their fatty acid composition, unsaponifiable compound content and volatile compounds. Oils were also subjected to quality tests according to standard methods. The fatty acid composition and sterol content/composition were relatively stable among the tested oils. Tocol content varied in the range of 140-631 mg/kg, and among them, ß-tocotrienol and γ-tocopherol prevailed. Oils' volatile compounds were dominated by seven terpenes (p-cymene, α-thujene, α-pinene, ß-pinene, thymoquinone, γ-terpinene, and sabinene). The highest contents of these volatiles were determined in samples from Poland and in two of six samples from India. High acid and peroxide values were typical features of N. sativa L. oils. To sum up, future research on the medicinal properties of black cumin oil should always be combined with the analysis of its chemical composition.

Preterm formulas are usually supplemented with medium-chain triacylglycerols (MCT) whereas breast milk contains more medium and long-chain triacylglycerols (MLCT). Different types of triacylglycerol (TAG) containing medium-chain fatty acids may influence lipid digestion. In this study, the digestive characteristics of breast milk and preterm formulas with different MCT contents were evaluated using a dynamic in vitro system simulating the gastrointestinal tract of preterm infants. The lipolysis products, including diacylglycerols, monoacylglycerols (MAGs), free fatty acids, and undigested TAGs, were analyzed. Formulas with MCT addition has significantly (P < 0.05) lower lipolysis degree (LD, 69.35%-71.28%) than breast milk (76.93%). Higher amounts of C8:0 and C10:0 were released in the formulas with MCT addition. Breast milk released more C18:1n-9, C18:2n-6, and MAG containing C16:0, whereas formulas released more free C16:0. The Pearson correlation heatmap showed that the LD value was significantly and positively (P < 0.05) related to the MLCT and sn-2 C16:0 content.

Very long chain fatty acids (VLCFA) have a chain length ≥24 carbons. Fish contain low levels of these fatty acids. A commercial oil called EPAX® Evolve 05 with an up-concentration of VLCFAs of approximately 10 times, has been developed as a dietary supplement by Epax Norway AS. A series of toxicological studies were performed using mice and rats to determine the safety and toxicity of repeat dosing with a gavage administered VLCFA formulation. The results suggest transient lipid accumulation in kidneys and liver. Lipid accumulation was seen with the test item and with the soya control but was not dose related. Liver and kidney lipid accumulation, whilst present in 14- day repeat dose study, was absent in a 90-day rat study. No treatment-effect was seen in urine analysis in any of the studies. No treatment-related effects were seen with a functional observation battery, ophthalmological examination, haematology, urine analysis, oestrus cycle, thyroid hormones, organ weight, or histopathology. In the 90-day study the liver enzymes ALP, AST and ALT were statistically significantly increased with test item but within control values. There were no associated histological findings in the liver suggesting there was no toxic effect and the normalisation of values for all liver enzymes in the recovery groups suggests an adaptive response rather than a prevailing toxic response. The no-observed-adverse-effect level (NOAEL) was determined as 1200 mg VLCFA/kg b.w./day.

This study is a bibliometric analysis and literature review on the use of oleogels (OGs), hydrogels (HGs) and hybrid gels (HYGs) in chocolate, compounds and spreads with the aim of reducing the saturated fat in these products. The articles were selected by analyzing titles, keywords and abstracts in the Web of Science (WoS), Scopus and Google Scholar databases. Supplementary documents were obtained from government sources, including patent registrations. The theoretical and practical aspects were critically analyzed, highlighting the main points of agreement and disagreement between the authors. The results revealed a lack of regulations and official guidelines that widely allow the use of OGs, HGs and HYGs in chocolate confectionery products. The type and characteristics of raw materials affect the properties of products. Replacing cocoa butter (CB) with OGs, HGs or HYGs also affects texture, melting point and behavior, and nutritional aspects. These substitutions can result in products with better sensory acceptance and health benefits, such as reducing saturated fat and promoting cardiovascular health. However, it is important to find the ideal combination and proportions of components to obtain the desired properties in the final products.

This study aimed to examine the distribution of anaerobic bacteria in the rumen fluid of Thai crossbred goats and to screen potential probiotic strains capable of producing antimicrobial compounds and inhibiting bacteria that cause milk fat depression. Thirty-four strains of bacteria from the rumen fluid were divided into 13 groups within 12 genera based on 16S rRNA gene sequences. The RF1-5 and RF5-12 were identified as Streptococcus luteliensis and Bacillus licheniformis, respectively, and demonstrated non-ropy exopolysaccharide. Furthermore, mPRGC5T was closely related to Selenomonas caprae JCM 33725 T (97.8% similarity) based on 16S rRNA gene sequences. It exhibited low average nucleotide identity, digital DNA-DNA hybridization, and average amino acid identity values with related type strains ranging from 84.9 to 86.0%, 21.3 to 21.8%, and 73.8 to 76.1%, respectively. The genotypic and phenotypic characteristics of mPRGC5T strongly support this strain as a new species of the genus Selenomonas for which the name Selenomonas ruminis mPRGC5T was proposed. The type strain is mPRGC5T (= JCM 33724 T = KCTC 25177 T). Ligilactobacillus salivarius MP3 showed antibacterial activity against Cutibacterium acnes subsp. acnes DSM 1897 T and Kocuria rhizophila MIII. The enterolysin A cluster gene was identified in its genome. The auto-aggregation of L. salivarius MP3 was 93.6 ± 0.2%. Additionally, co-aggregation of L. salivarius MP3 with C. acnes DSM 1897 T and K. rhizophila MIII had 92.2 ± 3.4% and 87.3 ± 4.5%, respectively. The adhesion capacity of strain MP3 was 76.11 ± 2.2%. Probiogenomic analysis revealed that L. salivarius MP3 was nonhazardous to animal supplementation and included acid- and bile-tolerant ability. However, strain MP3 contained three antibiotic resistance genes. Thus, the supplementation of L. salivarius MP3 could increase the milk fat content by suppressing C. acnes DSM 1897 T with antibiotic resistance gene horizontal transfer awareness.

Handroanthus impetiginosus, popularly known as "ipê-roxo", is used in folk medicine to treat skin inflammations, infections, stomach diseases, and cancer. Fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs) obtained from the esterification reaction of fatty acids (FA) found in the hexane extract (HE) of seeds of H. impetiginosus were identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The antioxidant and cytotoxic activities of the HE and FAMEs were evaluated. Methyl palmitate, methyl linoleate, methyl oleate, and methyl stearate were the major FAMEs obtained from the HE. The samples, especially the HE, exhibited a significant antioxidant potential analyzed by ferric reducing ability power (FRAP) assay. In the A. salina larvae bioassay, the HE showed no cytotoxic effects, but the FAMEs exhibited a high toxicity. This study reported, for the first time, the antioxidant and cytotoxic activities of the HE and FAMEs obtained from H. impetiginosus seeds.

Nervonic acid (NA) is a monounsaturated fatty acid vital for brain health and is of emerging importance in various industrial applications, including therapeutics, food, and cosmetics. Given the growing demands of the food and pharmaceutical industries, there's a pressing need for high-purity NA. Previously, NA constituents in plant seed oils were chemically transformed into nervonic acid ethyl ester (NAEE) to facilitate extraction from seed oils. In this study, we present an enzymatic approach to convert NA constituents in Malania oleifera seed oil to NAEE. Combined with the utilization of the semi-preparative chromatography, we achieved a remarkable purity of 97.52% NAEE. Compared to conventional chemical preparations characterized by multiple steps, prolonged processing times, and low yields and purities, our enzymatic method stands out as a more efficient and advantageous alternative. On top of that, this innovative approach is environmentally friendly and circumvents health and safety issues associated with chemical processes.

Interesterified fats have been used to replace trans-fat in ultra-processed foods. However, their metabolic effects are not completely understood. Hence, this study aimed to investigate the effects related to glucose homeostasis in response to interesterified palm oil or refined palm oil intake. Four-week-old male Swiss mice were randomly divided into four experimental groups and fed the following diets for 8 weeks: a normocaloric and normolipidic diet containing refined palm oil (PO group) or interesterified palm oil (IPO group); a hypercaloric and high-fat diet containing refined PO (POHF group) or interesterified PO (IPOHF group). Metabolic parameters related to body mass, adiposity and food consumption showed no significant differences. As for glucose homeostasis parameters, interesterified palm oil diets (IPO and IPOHF) resulted in higher glucose intolerance than unmodified palm oil diets (PO and POHF). Euglycemic-hyperinsulinemic clamp assessment showed a higher endogenous glucose production in the IPO group compared with the PO group. Moreover, the IPO group showed significantly lower p-AKT protein content (in the muscle and liver tissues) when compared with the PO group. Analysis of glucose-stimulated static insulin secretion (11.1 mmol/L glucose) in isolated pancreatic islets showed a higher insulin secretion in animals fed interesterified fat diets (IPO and IPOHF) than in those fed with palm oil (PO and POHF). Interesterified palm oil, including in normolipidic diets, can impair insulin signaling in peripheral tissues and increase insulin secretion by ß-cells, characterizing insulin resistance in mice.

Amaranth, quinoa, and buckwheat are the representatives of pseudocereals, different parts and by-products of which are used in daily nutrition and food processing industry. However, only scarce information exists on the bioactivity of their oils. Thus, oils obtained from amaranth, buckwheat, and red, yellow, and white quinoa seeds were evaluated in terms of their nutritional (fatty acid profile, squalene), cytotoxic (against normal and neoplastic gastrointestinal, prostate, and skin cells), anti-inflammatory and antiradical (interleukin 6, TNF-alpha, nitric oxide, DPPH, Total phenolics, and superoxide dismutase) potential in the in vitro model. Linoleic (42.9-52.5%) and oleic (22.5-31.1%) acids were the two main unsaturated, while palmitic acid (4.9-18.6%) was the major saturated fatty acid in all evaluated oils. Squalene was identified in all evaluated oils with the highest content in amaranth oil (7.6 g/100 g), and the lowest in buckwheat oil (2.1 g/100 g). The evaluated oils exerted a high direct cytotoxic impact on cancer cells of different origins, but also revealed anti-inflammatory and antiradical potentials. Yellow quinoa oil was the most active, especially toward skin (A375; IC50 6.3 µg/mL), gastrointestinal (HT29 IC50 4.9 µg/mL), and prostate cancer cells (LNCaP IC50 7.6 µg/mL). The observed differences in the activity between the oils from the tested quinoa varieties deserve further studies. High selectivity of the oils was noted, which indicates their safety to normal cells. The obtained results indicate that the oils are good candidates for functional foods with perspective chemopreventive potential.

Felicia abyssinica L., family Asteraceae, is widely used in folk medicine. This represents the first study to investigate its phytoconstituents and pharmacological effects. Phytoconstituents identified by GC-MS, LC-ESI-MS/MS-based metabolomics, and NMR (1D & 2D). GC-MS of the (FAMEs) revealed mainly the identification of 55 fatty acids. LC-ESI-MS/MS analysis resulted in the tentative identity of 13 compounds representing flavonoids, phenolics, and fatty acids. Ethyl acetate fraction exhibited the highest total flavonoids 66.19 mg/mL Rutin equivalent, while the methanolic fraction showed the highest phenolics 87.70 mg/mL gallic acid equivalent, and the total condensed tannins were 64.35 µg CE/mg catechins equivalent. A flavonoid and a cinnamic acid derivative were identified as quercetin 3-O-(2'''-O-acetyl) rutinoside (Mumikotin A) (1) and Methyl sinapate (2). Biological evaluation of antioxidant and cytotoxic activities was carried out. Cytotoxicity was examined on HepG-2 cell lines where the average cell viability was 91.42 % and 52.48 % for concentrations 10 and 100 µg/mL respectively. Methylene chloride and methanolic fractions showed the highest antioxidant activity 225 µg/mL Ascorbic acid equivalents. It is hypothesized that high phenolics, flavonoid content, and oxygenated identified compounds contribute to the antioxidant activity and can be regarded as a promising species for nutraceuticals active antioxidants with potential value for remedy.

Pansy and viola edible flowers were grown hydroponically with different levels of Mg and Mn. The nutritional composition was determined using standard methods. Free sugars, fatty acids, organic acids, tocopherols, and phenolic compounds were analyzed using various HPLC and GC devises. The extract's antimicrobial, antioxidant, cytotoxicity, and anti-inflammatory activity were assessed. The results indicated that Mg enrichment negatively affected plant growth and mineral accumulation but improved photosynthetic performance. The edible flowers contained significant amounts of protein, low levels of fat, and varying sugar contents, such as glucose and fructose. Various fatty acids and phenolic compounds were identified, with different concentrations depending on the treatment. The flowers exhibited antioxidant potential, antimicrobial activity, cytotoxic effects, and anti-inflammatory properties. The correlations between the investigated parameters not only expand knowledge on Mg and Mn interaction but also catalyze significant advancements in sustainable agriculture and food health, fostering a healthier and more conscious future.

Lipids in human colostrum provide the majority of energy intake and essential fatty acids for developing infants. The fatty acid composition of human colostrum is highly variable and influenced by multiple factors. Human colostrum is a complex sample bringing challenges to fatty acid profiling. This work aimed to optimize the use of ionic liquid (IL) columns and flow-modulated comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (FM-GC×GC-MS) for fatty acid profiling in human colostrum. Derivatization strategies were optimized and the elution behavior of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) on various 1D column phases (Solgel-WAX, SLB-IL60i, SLB-IL76i, and SLB-IL111i). Derivatization with sodium methoxide yielded a satisfactory recovery rate (90%) at milder conditions and reduced time. The use of IL60 as the 1D column provided superior separation, good peak shape, and better utilization of elution space. As a proof of concept, the developed method was applied to access the effects of the mode of neonatal delivery (vaginal vs. C-section) on the fatty acid profile of human colostrum samples. The integrated multidimensional gas chromatography strategy improved FAME detection and separation and can be a useful tool for accessing the effects of different factors on the fatty acid profiling of complex samples.

By tissue separation method, tie-back experiment, and hypersensitive response test in potato, strain XJFL-1 was isolated and identified as the pathogen of ginseng bacterial soft rot in Liaoning Provence, China. The morphological characteristics of XJFL-1 were conformed to the Pseudomonads genus. Microbial fatty acid identification showed the principal cellular fatty acid traits of XLFJ-1 corresponded with Pseudomonas spp. API 50CH test results allowed the differentiation of strain XJFL-1 and MS586T from other closely related Pseudomonas species. The molecular identification, including 16S rRNA analysis and multilocus sequence typing (MLST) analysis, showed that XJFL-1 was in the same branch as P. glycinae MS586T. The genome of XJFL-1 was 6,296,473 bp, with an average guanine/cytosine (G + C) content of 60.72 %. Comparative genomics analysis using ANIb and GGDC algorithms indicated that the maximum value was observed between XJFL-1 and P. glycinae MS586T. The above morphological, cell morphology, and molecular biological identification results supported to identification of XJFL-1 as P. glycinae. This is the first report of P. glycinae as the plant pathogen causing ginseng bacterial root rot in China, which complements the biological significance of the species to a certain extent, enriches the pathogens of ginseng bacterial soft rot, and provides a theoretical basis for further investigation.

Food emulsifier are mostly prepared from a lipophilic lipid tail with a hydrophilic sugar head. In this study, the lipophilic tail was obtained from apricot kernels, which are food waste, and the hydrophilic head was gluconic acid instead of sugar, in order to draw attention to the non-cyclic poly hydroxyl compounds. Thus, oleic acid of apricot kernel was used as the lipophilic moiety of the prepared surfactant. So, apricot kernel was grinned and dried, oil was extracted using soxhlet apparatus, Physical and chemical parameters and fatty acids composition of the extracted oil had been determined. The extracted oil was then hydrolyzed into glycerol and a mixture of free fatty acids. The fatty acids mixture was separated. Then, oleic acid was extracted individually in pure form using supercritical CO2 extractor, it was then confirmed according to its melting point, Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) after esterification, elemental analysis, Proton nuclear magnetic resonance (H1NMR), and mass spectrometry (MS) to detect the corresponding molecular ion peak. The pure individual oleic acid was converted to hydroxy stearic acid, which was then converted to an amphiphilic compound (surfactant) via esterification reaction with the hydrophilic gluconic acid, and afforded a new surfactant known as 2,3,4,5-tetrahydroxy-6-((9-((-2,3,4,5,6-pentahydroxyhexanoyl) oxy)octadecanoyl) oxy)hexanoic acid or stearyl gluconate for simplification. The structures elucidation of all synthesized compound was established according to elemental analysis and spectral data (Fourier transform infrared IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and MS). Moreover, the prepared compound was tasted for its antibacterial activity, and showed good activities against some types of bacteria. The surface-active properties, foamability, foaming stability and emulsion stability of stearyl gluconate were studied and compared with the properties of the well-known surfactant sucrose stearate, and it was clear that, the activity of stearyl gluconate as a surfactant was higher than that of sucrose stearate. Moreover, establishment of safety of this compound was performed using albino rats by acute oral toxicity and kidney and liver functions of these mice. On the other hand, the prepared surfactant was used in the production of low fat-free cholesterol mayonnaise as egg replacer. Texture properties and the sensory evaluation of the prepared mayonnaise showed that the properties were improved by using the new prepared surfactant. Thus, the prepared gluconyl stearate can be used as a safe food additive.

Microalgae are powerful source for nutritionally valuable components as proteins, carbohydrates and especially unsaturated fatty acids. Microalgae may be employed in pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, health industries, and biofuels. In this study for looking at high-level unsaturated fatty acids species, from 31 strains, by comparing growth curves, the best strain with a high growth rate and lipid content was selected by red Nile staining. It was determined by molecular identification that this strain belongs to the genus Chlorella sp. and is deposited into the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran Culture collection with culture collection number ABRIICC 30,041. Biomass analysis after growth optimization by response surface methodology showed that the selected strain had a specific growth rate of 0.216 ± 0.008 d-1, biomass productivity of 142.58 ± 4.41 mg/Ld, and lipid content of 13.9 ± 0.26% with a high level of unsaturated fatty acids of 53.15%. It also included 51.3 ± 0.53% protein with a very high quality essential amino acids of 40.36%, the most lysine (8.77%) and arginine (13.31%) has been reported until now, and 26.9 ± 0.23% carbohydrates in photoautotroph condition. By MTT assay, there is no effect of cytotoxicity. This research introduces a potent native strain comparable with commercial strains that can be a hopeful source for food supplements and valuable bioactive ingredients in functional foods.
