RESUMO
The causes, some pathogenetic mechanisms and possibilities for correcting the decrease in male reproductive potential in Russia are discussed in the lecture. Particular attention is paid to oxidative stress as one of the main causes for subfertility and male infertility, as well as the role of trace elements (zinc, selenium) and antioxidants (vitamins A, E and C) in the pathogenesis of male infertility and opportunities for the correction of fertility issues. Some aspects of COVID-19 influence on the problems of reproductive medicine, andrology and urology are highlighted.

Treatment of cystitis remains an urgent problem in urology due to its prevalence, physical and social disadaptation of patients, and not always satisfactory treatment results. The article presents the results of treatment of 40 women aged 41.5 +/- 12.4 years with chronic cystitis. 20 patients received ozone therapy, 20 patients--ozone therapy in combination with alpha-adrenoblocker tamsulosin. Effectiveness of the treatment was evaluated using clinical data, data of bladder diaries, IPSS score, and uroflowmetry data. Dynamics of all the parameters in patients treated with ozone therapy in combination with tamsulosin was significantly higher in comparison with that in patients treated with ozone therapy only. As a result of the treatment, increased urine flow rate was accompanied by an increase in urination. Combination therapy with the use of ozone therapy and tamsulosin can be successfully and safely used in the treatment of patients with cystitis.

In the course of prolit treatment there was a spontaneous evacuation of small concrements from renal calyces and ureters in 11 (27.5%) patients, dilution of the concrements and reduction in size of the latter were observed in prolit combination with blemaren (2 patients--5% and 7 patients--17.5%, respectively). Overall response was 50% while that to cyston--16.7%. Diuretic, anti-inflammatory and plastic actions of prolit manifested in 100% patients with disappearance of salts from urinary sediment, abatement of microhematuria and mild leukocyturia. Thus, prolit is a highly effective food additive in the treatment of nephrolithiasis and opens new perspectives in the treatment of urolithiasis.
