Health-related research at the American Petroleum Institute.

On behalf of its oil-company members, API has studied the effects of the materials to which people may be exposed and aspects of the effects of the total work environment on employees' health. This chapter sets out the mechanisms by which the research is conducted, illustrates the type of research performed, and describes the availability of the results to those interested in the scientific community.
