RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: CiteSpace6.1.R2 is used to analyze the research status of acupuncture in the treatment of cerebral infarction, and to find relevant hot spots and frontiers. METHODS: The researchers searched the Web of Science Core Collection database. The search date is from the establishment of the database to August 31, 2023. The search terms and expressions are: ("Cerebral Infarction" OR "Ischemic stroke") AND ("Acupuncture" OR "fire needle"). The researchers used CiteSpace software to draw a knowledge map to explore the hot spots and frontiers of acupuncture in treating cerebral infarction. RESULTS: We screened 414 articles in the Web of Science Core Collection database. China is the country with the largest number of publications, with a total of 343 papers published. China's institutions cooperate most closely, and cooperation between countries is less and more scattered. The author with the highest number of published articles is Chen L, with a total of 31 published articles. The research focus mainly revolves around the mechanism of acupuncture treatment of cerebral infarction and electroacupuncture treatment of cerebral infarction. Among them, acupuncture treatment of cerebral infarction is the most. CONCLUSION: According to CiteSpace's analysis results, China is at the forefront of this research field, while other countries have less research in this field and little cooperation among countries. At present, the mainstream aspect of research is the mechanism of acupuncture treatment of cerebral infarction electroacupuncture and acupuncture points. Therefore, in future research, we should pay more attention to the treatment of cerebral infarction mechanism of acupuncture, problems with the type of acupuncture used, and acupuncture points.

Objective: To discuss whether tongue acupuncture is more effective than traditional acupuncture in the treatment of poststroke dysarthria and explore the advantage of tongue acupuncture treatment parameters. Methods: We evaluated the efficacy of tongue acupuncture compared with traditional acupuncture through a rigorous meta-analysis process. The included studies were from eight databases in English and Chinese. The Cochrane risk of bias assessment tool was used to evaluate the quality of studies. Stata15.1 software was used for meta-analysis and sensitivity analysis. Tongue acupuncture therapeutic parameters were classified and counted based on tongue acupoint location, acupuncture manipulation, and the number of manipulations. Subgroup analysis was used to compare the differences between various treatment parameters. Outcome The meta-analysis eventually included a total of 9 studies. Tongue acupuncture is superior to traditional acupuncture in clinical efficacy [OR = 3.62, 95%Cl (2.24, 5.85), P < 0.0001], FDA score [SMD = -1.99, 95%Cl (-3.77, -0.21), P=0.028], and NIHSS score [WMD = 0.86, 95%Cl (0.15, 1.57), P=0.017, I2 = 31.7%] in the treatment of poststroke dysarthria. According to the classified statistics of tongue acupuncture treatment parameters, there are three kinds of tongue acupuncture points in 9 studies: lingual surface, sublingual, and both lingual surface and sublingual acupoints. The operation methods include the oblique stabbing of the root of the tongue, twisting after stabbing, and acupoint pricking. The number of operation methods varies from 1 to 3. Conclusion: Tongue acupuncture outperforms traditional acupuncture in terms of clinical efficacy, FDA score, and NIHSS score in the treatment of poststroke dysarthria. The curative effect of sublingual acupoints is better than that of lingual surface acupoints, the combined use of multiple manipulations is better than that of a single manipulation, and acupuncture manipulation has a cumulative effect. Bacteria-driven drug-delivery systems have attracted great attention for their enhanced therapeutic specificity and efficacy in cancer treatment. YB1, a particularly attractive genetically modified safe Salmonella Typhimurium strain, is known to penetrate hypoxic tumor cores with its self-driven properties while remarkably avoiding damage to normal tissues. Herein, nanophotosensitizers (indocyanine green (ICG)-loaded nanoparticles, INPs) were covalently attached to the surface of YB1 with amide bonds to develop a biotic/abiotic cross-linked system (YB1-INPs) for tumor precision therapy. YB1 microswimmer retained its viability after efficiently linking with INPs. This YB1-INPs treatment strategy demonstrated specific hypoxia targeting to solid tumors, perfect photothermal conversion, and efficient fluorescence (FL) imaging properties. Benefited from the combined contribution of tumor tissue destruction and the bacteria-attracting nutrients generation after photothermal treatment, the bioaccumulation of YB1-INPs was significantly improved 14-fold compared to no photothermal intervention. Furthermore, YB1-INPs pervaded throughout the large solid tumor (≥500 mm3). Under near-infrared (NIR) laser irradiation, YB1-INPs exhibited a dependable and highly efficient photothermal killing ability for eradicating the large solid tumor without relapse. This strategy of bacteria-driven hypoxia-targeting delivery has a great value for large solid tumors therapy with low toxicity and high efficiency.

Oxidative damage of retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) cells is involved in the pathogenesis age related macular degeneration (AMD). The purpose of this study was to evaluate the potential protective effect of a purified green tea polysaccharide (GTWP) against hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) induced oxidative stress and apoptosis in human retinal pigment epithelial cells (ARPE-19 cells). Human ARPE-19 cells were treated with 1 h of 500 µM H2O2 before incubation with GTWP for 24 h. Pretreatment of GTWP decreased H2O2-induced cell death and cell apoptosis, and efficiently suppressed the intracellular ROS production and malondialdehyde (MDA) generation induced by H2O2 treatment. Moreover, a loss of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and glutathione (GSH) activities were restored to normal level in H2O2-induced ARPE-19 cells upon GTWP (100 µg/ml) exposure. Also, the tendency of increased protein expression of Bax and cleaved-caspsae-3, as well as decrease of Bcl-2 protein in ARPE-19 cells challenged with H2O2 was changed to individual opposite way, thus inhibiting the apoptotic cell death. Our results demonstrated that GTWP protected RPE cells against oxidative injury through activation of anti-apoptotic and endogenous antioxidant enzymes signaling pathway, suggesting GTWP has attractive therapeutic potential to AMD.

The tocopherol cyclase was one of the key enzymes in plant vitamin E biosynthesis pathway. According to the study of Carthamus tinctorius transcriptome data,the Tocopherol cyclase gene was obtained using RT-PCR techniques and named CtTC . Bioinformatics analysis showed theopen reading frame (ORF)of CtTC was 1 524 bp. The putative protein contained 507 amino acids with a predicted molecular mass of 62.9 kDa and theoretically isoelectric point was 5.01.Signal peptide analysis showed that it was a non secretory protein, and there was no signal peptide. The subcellular localization showed that the CtTC protein was located in the chloroplast. The expression of CtTC gene in safflower seeds at different development stages was determined by quantitative real-time PCR, it was found that the highest expression level of CtTC gene was detected in 50 DAF.Quantitative RT-PCR analysis suggested that expression of CtTC is induced and strengthened by drought stresses. This research provided a candidate gene for metabolic engineering of vitamin E and resisting stress.
