RESUMO

ObjectiveTo effectively organize the interdisciplinary knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and evidence-based medicine contained in the clinical trial literature of TCM and facilitate the processing and mapping of multi-source data, this paper organized the knowledge of clinical trial literature of TCM by ontology modeling. MethodThe seven-step method and skeleton method were used to develop the ontology. After the structure and language characteristics of TCM clinical trial literature were analyzed, the ontological and non-ontological resources such as top-level framework of Scientific Evidence and Provenance Information Ontology (SEPIO) and TCM language system (TCMLS) were reused to determine the domain concepts and attribute relationship. Finally, the core concepts and attribute relationship such as disease, syndrome, symptom, grouping, intervention measures, outcome indicators and literature quality information were determined. ResultThe information contained in the clinical trial literature of TCM was divided into five categories. According to the Cochrane risk of bias assessment tool and CONSORT 2010 statement, the literature quality evaluation information was mapped to the ontology, and a total of 68 categories, 8 object attributes, and 38 data attributes were established, which basically realized the structured expression of clinical trial literature. ConclusionThe ontology of TCM clinical trial literature constructed in this study can well organize, utilize, and present the construction and association of internal knowledge system in TCM clinical trial literature, underpinning the reasoning of strength of evidence and information of diagnosis and treatment in the future.

RESUMO

Ultra high performance liquid chromatography coupled with a Q Exactive hybrid quadrupole-orbitrap mass spectrometry ( UPLC-MS/MS) and multivariate statistical analysis was applied to metabonomic study of drug-induced liver injury. This investigation focused on the liver injury in clinic which was induced by antitumor drug, traditional Chinese medicine, statins and antibiotics. After precipitated by cold acetonitrile, the serum samples were separated on a HSS T3-C18 column using water (containning 0. 01% formic acid) and acetonitrile as mobile phase by gradient elution. Based on metabonomic profiles analysis of the orthogonal projections to latent structures discriminant analysis ( OPLS-DA ) and partial least squares-discriminant analysis ( PLS-DA) , 114 endogenous metabolites had been found to have significant differences between drug-induced liver injury patients and healthy volunteers, 38 endogenous metabolites have significant difference (p<0. 001). According to the results of the OPLS-DA, MS/MS data and human metabolome database ( HMDB) , phenylalanine and dimethylguanosine had been identified as potential biomarkers related to drug-induced liver injury for early discovery and diagnosis.

RESUMO

Objective To study term selecting principles and methods of subject terms in the class ofPharmaceutical Zoology and Botanyfor the new edition of TCM Materia Medica Subject Headings; To provide references for the revision. Methods Based on the compiling principles, word frequency of subject headings in TCM database were used as references. MeSH was referred to establish detail rules and regulations for revision of TB class. Results In TB class, 226 subject headings were planned to delete, such as Apocynum Linn, Piper betle Linn, cetacean anddolphins;42 subject headings were planned to add, such as Kalimerisindica, Actinidiaceae and Squamata. Conclusion This revision formulated individual revision principles, proposed solutions for common problems, and basically completed adding and deleting of TB class and frame adjustment.

RESUMO

This article was aimed to explore the method of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) health maintenance knowledge base building. TCM health maintenance knowledge classification method was studied under the guidance of TCM health maintenance classification system to construct a special literature database to store TCM health maintenance knowledge. Based on TCM literature resources, TCM health maintenance knowledge service platform was designed and developed for the static display and dynamic query support of TCM health maintenance knowledge. The content of knowledge base will be accessed to the whole society. The results showed that the construction method can be a system arrangement and modern interpretation of TCM health maintenance knowledge, in order to support TCM health maintenance knowledge base and its update and service system. It was concluded that under the guidance of TCM theories, the construction of TCM health maintenance knowledge base will realize the health maintenance knowledge-sharing and service requirement of TCM.

RESUMO

Objective To confirm subject headings which are prepared to be added, deleted and modified in the class of traditional Chinese medicine and related disciplines (TG class) for the new edition of Chinese Traditional Medicine and Materia Medica Subject Headings (CTMMeSH). Methods Compiling principle, word frequency statistics and database retrieval results were considered. Other references, such as MeSH, were also used to help choose subject headings of TG class. Results In TG class, 35 subject headings were planned to be added, such as “medicine, traditional Korean”and“TCM constitution”;35 subject headings were planned to be deleted, such as“medicine, eastern tradition”and“meridians”;19 subject headings were planned to be modified, such as “four-constitution medicine” and “Minority Medicine”. The subject headings of “Minority Medicine”were unified to harmonize the problems of“TCM pharmacy”with other classes of subject terms. Conclusion Subject headings of TG class are chosen based on word frequency statistics. The word form are unified refer to regulation, teaching materials and documents, and should coordinate with subject headings of other classes.

RESUMO

Objective To study the term selecting principles and methods for TCM function classification of the Chinese Traditional Medicine and Materia Medica Subject Headings; To provide basis for revision of new terms. Methods According to general rules of vocabulary compiling and word frequency statistics, relevant database retrieval results and some other materials, such as Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2010 edition), Chinese Medicine Dictionary and Chinese Materia Medica, were referred to conduct the study on the terms of TCM function classification in 2008, and then the subject headings were determined.ResultsThe table of TCM function classification has 1679 subject headings, among which 39 are planned to be deleted, 135 are to be added and 8 are to be modified. Adjustment of these subject headings is conducted according to the efficacy classification of TCM.ConclusionNew version of TCM function classification subject headings are mainly according to word frequency. The subject headings are mainly classified according to main efficacy of TCM, with a purpose to avoid redundancy.

RESUMO

This article was aimed to study constructive standards for the database of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) documentation. Refer to relevant national standards, specifications and other fields of universal standards such as metadata specification of health information dataset, medical science data sharing, metadata standard, data of pop-ulation health sciences shared metadata standard, basic scientific data sharing network project standard, Chinese A-cademy of Sciences data application environment construction and service standards, combined with the specification for TCM literature resources, Chinese medicine literature database was constructed. The results showed that 6 major categories and 17 specifications were established to standardize the construction of TCM literature database. It was concluded that the standardization of TCM literature database was able to realize TCM literature database construc-tion standard and process, and to facilitate the sharing of TCM data resources.

RESUMO

In China, the treatment of AIDS With Chinese herbal medicine compound has been widely studied and practiced. Clinical Studies showed that the treatment of AIDS with Chinese medicine can significantly relieve AIDS patients' clinical symptoms, improve life quality with rising immunity and alleviate toxic and side effects in antiviral drug. This study took 28 Clinical Studies on the treatment of AIDS with Chinese herbal medicine compound published in Chinese periodicals as the research object, and designed Tree Analysis Algorithm was used to analyze prescription compatibility in the treatment of AIDS with Chinese herbal medicine compound. Results of data analysis revealed that clinical therapy on AIDS could be classified into three types: predominent de-toxication, predominent supplementing Qi, and simultaneous de-toxication and supplementing Qi due to different understanding the pathogenesis of excessive evil and deficient essence-qi. But in practical medication, there has not formed a reasonable and effective combination or basic prescription up to now, except that Astragalus was wildly used.
