RESUMO

A supercritical fluid carbon dioxide (SF-CO2) extraction method was used to obtain the optimum process for extracting yellow horn seed oil. The anti-fatigue and antioxidant properties of the extracted oil were investigated through animal experiments. The optimum process conditions for SF-CO2 extraction of the yellow horn oil were 40 MPa, 50 °C and 120 min, with an extraction yield of 31.61%. The high-dose group of yellow horn oil could significantly increase the weight-bearing swimming time, the hepatic glycogen (HG) content and decrease the lactic acid (LA) content and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) content (p < 0.05) in mice. Moreover, it improved the antioxidant ability by reducing the malondialdehyde (MDA) content (p < 0.01) and raising the glutathione reductase (GR) content and superoxide dismutase (SOD) content (p < 0.05) in mice. Yellow horn oil has the effects of being an anti-fatigue and antioxidant substance, which provides a basis for its further utilization and development.

RESUMO

Tartary buckwheat tea, which is an important and healthy product, has a distinct malty aroma. However, its characteristic aroma compounds have not been elucidated. The aims of present study were identification and quantification of its aroma compounds. The analyses were performed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) after 3 different isolation techniques. Seventy-seven compounds were identified. Among these compounds, 35 were quantified by available standards. The compounds with a high probability of contribution to the tartary buckwheat tea aroma (OAV ≥ 10) were as follows: 2,5-dimethyl-4-hydroxy-3(2H)-furanone, nonanal, 2,3-diethyl-5-methylpyrazine, benzeneacetaldehyde, maltol, 2,5-dimethylpyrazine, 2-ethyl-5-methylpyrazine, trimethylpyrazine. Some nutritional and bioactive compounds were also identified in this study, such as linoleic acid, niacin, vanillic acid, 7-hydroxycoumarin, butylated hydroxytoluene. Practical Application: Tartary buckwheat, one type of buckwheat, has gained much attention from nutritionists and medical doctors in recent years. It is rich in rutin, quercetin, and other nutrients that are good for health. Tartary buckwheat-based product such as tartary buckwheat tea is an important and popular healthy product in China, Japan,South Korea, European countries as well as in American countries. It has a distinct malty aroma. The present study first identified and quantified of its aroma compounds. The results will draw attention to other researchers in food flavor and buckwheat filed.

RESUMO

Two new coumarin glycosides, praerosides VI (1) and VII (2), were isolated from the roots of Peucedanum praeruptorum Dunn. Their structures were elucidated by chemical reaction and NMR spectroscopic methods.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To select the optimum purification process of all tubeimosides from Bolbostemma paniculatum by macroporous resin. METHOD: Static absorption test and deabsorption test were carried out to screen the best macroporous resin for all tubeimosides. The single factor test, orthogonal experimental designs and variance analysis were applied to optimize the manipulation parameters of macroporous resin. RESULT: The macroporous resin NKA possessed the strongest absorption ability to all tubeimosides among the 9 resins studied, in addition to an easy de-absorption property. The optimum absorption conditions were A2B3C1, namely concentration of feed 30 mg x mL(-1), diameter: height of the chromatography column 1:7, the weight ratio of raw material and resins 1:2. CONCLUSION: The above experimental results can provide experimental basis for large-scale purification process of all tubeimosides.
